Physical Description: An orange-skinned creature with bat wings on his back, razor-sharp claws, and a flame with two eerie-looking yellow eyes in it for a head. His only articles of clothing are a rag around his crotch and a pair of torn-apart shoes on his feet.

Personality: Shu is evil, plain and simple. He cares for no one but himself, even seeing his fellow Shoe Demons as little more than fodder, and has a hatred for all things Sockonian especially. He can be quite rude and blunt, making him seem little more than a brute at times, but do not let that deceive you. He has a devious and cunning mind, with a silver tongue to match.

Equipment & Abilties: Shu has an assortment of deadly powers, from tossing fireballs to conjuring a sword made out of flames. He can also unleash sonic screams, and possesses the ability to somehow take his very spine out of his body and use it as a blade in battle. Shu is also a master of magic, and has an unknown amount of spells at his command. One that has been revealed is transforming his fellow Shoe Demons into hulking beasts that go on short rampages before dying.

History: From the day he was born into the Realm of the Shoe Demons, Shu has had ambitions. He became apprentice to several of the most powerful Shoe Demon sorcerors, killing them all when he had acquired enough power to do so. He soon became the supreme, unchallenged leader of the Shoe Demons, and turned his attention to freeing his kind from their pocket dimension, destroying their eternal enemies (the Sockonians), and conquering the universe. Around two decades after the first was accomplished, a startling number of years for the Shoe Demons to have been seemingly inactive, Shu began work on the second in a plot to collide the Mushroom World and Sockonia and destroy both planets. When that plot was foiled by a Sockonian who would continue to be a thorn in Shu's side, Sockie Lastnamerson, he turned to another plan: the Shoe Demons' infiltration of the Sockonian government in those twenty years. Using the ruler of Sockonia (and Sockie's brother), Sockaro, as his pawn, Shu tried to use a machine that would turn all life in the universe into Shoe Demons. This was once again prevented by Sockie and his friends, although Sockaro ended up losing his life to Shu. Since then, Shu has been relatively inactive, which worries some. Who knows when he may strike again...
