SONNY -X-Affix-
Kuma Kuma Circus - Persona 4 Arena
Age: 1
Gender: Female (machine)
Specie: Tsukumogami
Physical Description: A flat-screen plasma TV with a DVR attached at the base. From that extend five spider-like legs, and up top is a diamond-shaped antenna.
Personality: Very quirky, she styles herself like a spokesperson at times. Sometimes, the channel she's tuned to affects her attitude - for instance, the Quest Time channel makes her very daring and boisterous.
History: The Akuma incidents in Japan have raised priority for some extra help in exorcising any more malevolent spirits. To that end, a closet Yokai researcher created an artificial tsukumogami by directly infusing ectoplasm and life force into a television set. This made the TV come to life as the eccentric Sonny! On a mission, she sets out to fight the evil forces that threaten the world.
Equipment: N/A
Abilities: She can generate things from her screen real as life. To maintain her energy, she has to use one of four special channels created with different frequencies. These channels are the video game Super Bit Warriors, the sci-fi channel Future-Now, the action channel Quest Time, and the recreational channel House & Home.
Other: Since she's animated by paranormal energy, she has similar weaknesses as ghosts do, like cleansing tags, white noise, and cold-iron. Breaking her TV won't work - she'll just pull it back together, good as new.

Trivia
- Named after Sony, one of the biggest electronics manufacturers in the world.

- The core inspiration for Sonny is The Ring, in which the antagonist Sadako Yamamura emerges from a TV monitor to kill her victims. However, Sonny projects more comical things from her screen.
- Traditionally, a tsukumogami is an object that gains life after surviving a hundred years. A television set might not become a tsukumogami because electronic light is too bright for spirits.
- Of the Major Arcana, Sonny is based on The Lovers.

- Future Now moves are based on futuristic science fiction, like Star Trek.
- Quest Time moves are based on action movies, like Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park...and anything made by Michael Bay.

- Strobe Screen is, of course, inspired by numerous casualties induced by seizures in Japanese TV shows.

- Bullet Time's countering effect is based on the slow-motion, or "bullet time", dodges made famous by the Matrix movies.
