Toadsworth is Peach's longtime steward. He is mostly a worrywort when it comes to Peach's safety. Aside from all that, he seems to be a cheerful old Toad, and is quite intelligent.

"This is unacceptable" yelled by an elderly old Toad named Toadsworth, "Cease your outrageous behavior and leave at once!"

In a red static blur, there appeared in front of Princess Peach...Sonic the Hedgehog? No, something was off about him - his eyes were pitch-black, save for blood dripping along the edges and pupils of the same color.
"Hello, Princess! Do you wanna play with me?"
"Peach! Don't listen to this apparition!" Celestia shouted.
In a red static blur, there appeared in front of Princess Peach...Sonic the Hedgehog? No, something was off about him - his eyes were pitch-black, save for blood dripping along the edges and pupils of the same color.
"Hello, Princess! Do you wanna play with me?"
"Peach! Don't listen to this apparition!" Celestia shouted.
Peach gasps in horror, and although frozen in fear at first, she quickly manages to turn the way she came and begin running.
In another blur, Sonic(?) appears in front of Peach. "Come on, we're gonna have lots of fun, you and I~" Sonic(?) said. With a flash of his eyes, Peach would find herself unable to even move.
Celestia regained her composure and focused a magic grip on Sonic(?), binding him with rings of a sunny yellow hue.
"Urk - ! Clever...but I got what I need, so I'll be going now." And with that, Sonic(?) and Peach vanished in a red static blur.
"(!) No - !" Celestia cried out.

"NO! Unhand the princess, you blue rapscallion!" Toadsworth is trying to stop Sonic(?) from kidnapping the Princess.
But he's too late. Sonic(?) and Peach are already gone.
Mario arrives into the throne room just a few seconds after. "I heard a shattering from here! What-a happened??"
Luna was shocked by what happened. "P-Princess Peach, sh...she...!"
Luna's despaired tone just made Mario even more concerned.

"Noo!! Princess Peach!!" Toadsworth kneels down in despair, grieving over Sonic(?) kidnapping the Princess, "Oh, this is dreadful... Sonic, why would you do such a thing...?"
Then Toadsworth hears Mario's cometh. A beacon of hope hits Toadsworth as he stands up from despair.
"Ah-! Master Mario! Thank goodness you arrive. But I'm afraid you're too late. Princess Peach has been kidnapped by Sonic. For some reason, wasn't acting like this before... But I fear that he will do something nasty to her if we don't bring her back home."
Then Toadsworth hears Mario's cometh. A beacon of hope hits Toadsworth as he stands up from despair.
"Ah-! Master Mario! Thank goodness you arrive. But I'm afraid you're too late. Princess Peach has been kidnapped by Sonic. For some reason, wasn't acting like this before... But I fear that he will do something nasty to her if we don't bring her back home."
"What - ? Sonic did-a this??" Now this surprised Mario. He and Sonic have been friends for years now! Why would he pull a stunt like this?
"None of us quite understand it, either," Celestia added, "as he exhibited powers unlike anything seen before."
"That power..." Luna uttered to herself. Celestia may have been confused by Sonic(?)'s assault, but Luna felt nostalgically...horrified.
"Hmmm...Well, fear not. I'll-a go meet with-a Sonic! Hopefully, I can at least-a talk some sense into him."
"None of us quite understand it, either," Celestia added, "as he exhibited powers unlike anything seen before."
"That power..." Luna uttered to herself. Celestia may have been confused by Sonic(?)'s assault, but Luna felt nostalgically...horrified.
"Hmmm...Well, fear not. I'll-a go meet with-a Sonic! Hopefully, I can at least-a talk some sense into him."
"Please do be careful, Master Mario... I fear that poor Sonic may be possessed by something sinister or worse," Toadsworth said, "Just a small reminder by the by, the ol' blue bean is the fastest thing alive. But I'm sure you'll be able to catch him in no time!"
"Of-a course!" And with that, Mario made his way out of the palace. Celestia and Luna watched in concern. Then, Celestia went over to the large crystal ball resting on a wall next to the line of thrones.
"Sister..." Luna said nervously, "you don't really think that was Sonic, do you?"
"..." Celestia was deep in concentration with the crystal ball.

A "real" Toad and a "real" poniy walk in the throne room and check out what is going on. Something odd about the two (or three)
"If that is the case, then there is something wrong with Sonic," Toadsworth said, "It's almost as he is possessed by a demented demon of some sorts. And whatever that demon want with the princess really concerns me."
"Sonic? He took the princess?" the real Toad said, "Uh oh... I don't think our boss won't like this..."
"Ow...!! That was my face, Corporal!" One half said to the other in a pony suit.
"Sorry!!"
"OOF!!!"

"We better report this to Bowser before we get caught...!!" The front half of the pony costume spoke.
"Okay- but let anyone know we're here..." Warned the back half of the pony costume.
The two (or three) shady characters sneak their way out of the palace, but the "real" Toad trips and hits a concrete statue, causing it to fall down and breaks apart.
"Oh cripes!!" The back half of the pony costumed cried, "Idiot! I said.... Forget it! Change the course of action. RUN!!!"
The bumbling characters flee and escape the castle. They really need to pay more attention to their stealthy objectives.
"Okay- but let anyone know we're here..." Warned the back half of the pony costume.

Celestia's concentration was broken by the statue's breaking, making the image in the crystal ball blink out. "Oh dear, not again..." She went to find the statue, putting it back together (like healing it) with magic.
While Celestia was healing the state, Luna decided to continue the crystal ball's vision. She focused as best she could into it, resuming the image of the strange red static and the other being being produced from the dimensional rift. As she focused, though...grotesque images of the black-eyed Sonic flashed in the ball, seemingly popping out like in a 3D movie!
"!!!"
Luna's mind was overcome with such terror that she let out a loud, heartbeat-skipping scream that echoed throughout the halls. Celestia had just put the statue back together when the scream was let out.
"(!) Luna?!"

The crystal ball also showed that same red static, as well as flashing images of the eerie Sonic. Alarmed by this, Celestia casts a gentle wave of light across Luna and the crystal ball, washing away the accursed trance. The crystal ball was blank once more. Luna's eyes were no longer blanketed by red static.

Just then, she noticed something odd out in the open of the Meadowlands. "Hm - ?" She could see Twilight Sparkle...being led away by a strange gold-colored cyborg!
