4.- Magical resistance: His magical affinity makes him take 50% less magical damage.
Personality
His most striking feature is being whimsical and bratty, but having a kind, righteous and honorable heart as well. He wants to protect those incapable of protecting themselves, or overwhelmed by a powerful danger. His insubordinate nature renders him prone to setting out on impossible crusades every once in a while. He has a very steadfast morality, in which he makes all of his decisions, inspired to do good onto others whenever he can, and as much as he can. He is a proud defender of the land of the light, sporting his role as a protector with pride and solemn devotion. While not joining the army for their uniforms alone, he does have a weakness for fancy clothes and other trinkets. It is quite probable that at least part of him was eager to join to get himself a fancy uniform and earning abundant respect for those he swore to protect. Every once in a while, his poshness comes to the fore, as his easygoing and rewarding lifestyle mingle with his quite abundant pride.
Background (at least three sentences)
Bedlis Nainnan was born in a middle class family, he lived with all the luxuries his family's hard work could afford him, but he himself is not used to working hard on the slightest. In fact, when his father considered the prospect of surrendering to the empire, he had a temper tantrum and left his house. Being too posh for jobs he considers beneath him, he enrolled in the police, where he was fired for being overzealous. He frequently got his police department in trouble because of his tendency to act smug. After being fired from the police, he was left without a job, but had no intentions of returning to his house, so he began taking small time jobs as a magician entertainer, performing pretty shows of petty glowing spells and all other sort of flashy magic.
Eventually growing weary of the criticism entertainers were subject too at all times, he abandoned that job and began treasure hunting. Now, that's where he found his love for adventure, delving into dangerous ancient places to rescue a well hidden treasure. It was a dangerous life, but just what Bedlis Wanted, lots of outdoors work, no space for criticism and a lot of teamwork with like minded adventurers. He continued this lifestyle for a long time, making more than enough to live by from his treasure hunting. In fact, they well pretty well off with their collected profit. Things were going well, until his love of posh things kicked in, he began purchasing extremely expensive and fairly useless objects for his personal entertainment. Holding feasts and purchasing ridiculously expensive clothes for his own decoration. This of course, took its toll on their treasury, that began to struggle under the weight of Bedlis' expensive tastes.
This created tension in the group, who chastised Bedlis for his selfish expending habits. They may not have expected such a bratty response, but Bedlis stormed off, relinquishing his position on the Treasure Hunting group and setting into the streets alone once more. Being whimsical and righteous as he is, he set out to become a soldier, wanting to help the land he had so come to love in his lifetime. He served in the army as a soldier magician. His officers noted he had powerful magical stamina, indeed stronger that any other within the army, but they also noted that his whimsical nature and insubordinate behavior made him a terrible option for promotion until he buckled up and followed the rules, stunting his career. The only reason this did not upset him is because he does not know about it. While not becoming an officer in his three years of service, he did rise to the rank of specialist late within his third year. The war with the Empire however, earned him another promotion to Sergeant, as his prowess was needed to fight off the empire, and the army needed to retain all their strong magicians, knights and warriors, lest they switch sides to the Empire.
