History: Alina had a large family at one point, a long time ago. She had two sisters (both older) and two brothers (one older, one younger), a happy mom, a caring dad, and a lively grandfather, all of whom she loved with great passion. She was happy all the time and sad things never occurred very often...until the day she turned ten. Alina came home on her birthday after school, only to stop in shock that her house was on fire. A firefighter later told her that her mother, her older brother, and her two older sisters had been killed. Luckily, her father had been out with her grandfather picking up her younger brother from pre-school. They all went into a great shock after this, but were finally able to get a new house and start a new family. Alina continued to keep her bright and shining smile to keep up their spirits and helped wherever she could, believing that she was just lucky she still had her father, grandpa, and little brother alive. This hardly helped things. Her father went into a deep depression and, though Alina and her grandfather tried their best to get him out of it, it was no use. He began neglecting them and locking himself away from the world, throwing them into poverty. Shortly after Alina's fifteenth birthday, her grandfather passed away. Her younger brother was eight. She still remained happy as could be, getting a job to help the house, though it was no use. Her little brother, at such a young age, began doing bad things behind all their backs and, eventually, he up and ran away without a word to anyone. Alina never cried, even though at that time, he was all she was basically living for since her father hardly spoke any longer. And when he did, he always mumbled things about "Those damned demons...fire...burning...Rossette..." (Rossette being his wife/her mother). Alina was seventeen when she was infected by the demon and when she returned home, trying hard to cover this curse up, she continued to smile brightly as if nothing ever happened. Her father noticed immediately and, for the first time in years, locked eyes with her. "Get out," he said darkly, "and never return. You're a murderer and a lost cause. Begone." And so she left.
Personality: Alina always had a smile on her face, caring for others and trying her best to brighten their spirits despite any situation. Though she still cares for others above herself, after she was kicked out, Alina has cried for the first time since all the traumatic events for every night and still does so. She is usually groggy from the lack of sleep and tends to space out, dealing with minor hallucinations, and always reminiscing back to happier days when all her family was alive and well and together. When thrown out onto the streets, she could sometimes be seen looking down each alleyway and going up to each little boy and calling cheerfully out, "Charlie!?" Only to disdainfully discover they were not her younger brother. She still wears her smile, though it's forced and fake and not nearly as warm and charming as it once was. She is now only a shell of her former self.
