Appearance: Even in high school, Mia experimented with alternative styles. She went through a "scene" phase, a very goth phase, a "hipster" phase, got and removed too many piercings to count, and acquired several tattoos. It took Her a while to figure out who she really was, who she wanted to be and what she was comfortable in. While she's still not entirely sure about herself, she does have a better grasp on what it is she likes. She sports a dark or vampy lip color more often than not, but wears light and flowing shirts. When the weather allows, she'll only ever wear shorts and tank tops. She loves large, gaudy jewelry and you'll never see her without something that fits that description. Recently, she got bored of her long black hair and shaved a portion of it almost completely off. Occasionally she'll flip her hair to cover the shaved spot, but not often as she's absolutely in love with the edginess it gives her.

Personality: For Mia, everything is about fun. Her job is fun, her roommates are fun, parties are fun, alcohol is so much fun. You can honestly say that there's never a dull moment when you're with Mia Hadley Carpenter. However, she has a very rough time taking anything seriously and when there's a problem she's likely to ignore it: choosing to get drunk and party the problem away. She did this when she didn't graduate high school on time, when her parents got a divorce, and she's doing it now that she's pregnant (though she's put the drinking on hold...for now.). When things are stressful she just can't handle it and when she's finally forced to after internalizing it for so long, she has a break down. However, she does care deeply for people and has an incredible ability to empathize with them. She's wonderful with helping other people with their problems, lending a hand, or being an ear to listen. These qualities, surprisingly, help her an awful lot when it comes to her job where people are frequently getting drunk and spilling their guts out to a complete stranger.

History: Growing up, she had a normal childhood, though her parents did fight a bit more than average. In school she was well liked, and got invited to all kinds of parties and attending every single one. There was nothing she liked more than spending an entire weekend drunk off her ass. She liked it more than going on dates or staying at home or having a sleep over with girl friends. In fact, she went out on very, very few dates during her high school years and not much has changed since then.

When she was seventeen her parents got a divorce, and despite knowing it was probably for the best, it tore her apart. She felt like her family was completely falling apart and when her father moved to another state a few months after the divorce, she was even more distraught over it. She swore off dating from that point on and decided one night stands were a lot more simple.

She moved out of her mother's apartment when she was nineteen and in with the roommates she has now.
