Name:Raenah 'Feritas' Argentum
Nickname: Feritas
Age: 308 years old; born to darkness at the age of 26
Gender:Female
Bloodline: Silver Bloodline
Rank: Noble
Ability: Clairvoyance: Raenah possesses the ability to 'see the unknown.' She cannot predict the future or look to the past, but she is aware of the World around her; she oftentimes find the ability a curse or burden upon her, considering she can see many tragedies unfold, but cannot do anything about it.
Personality: Raenah has often been described as a fierce woman, with little compassion and ample amounts of fervour. She shows little regard for those around her, a result of growing up in a time of suppression. She believes everyone to have a purpose and believes that hers is bound to be greater than most. Her outlook on Vampires and her induction into the species is one of gratitude. The one person in the World whom Raenah reveres is her maker and it is he and only he that she answers to. Her pride can get her into situations where friendship is something that is an impossible feat. Her bloodlust is boundless it would seem and she craves the blood of the young more-so than that of the older. Aged blood, she believes, has a harsher tastes and she prefers the sweetness of youth.
Description: Raenah stands at around five foot seven inches from the ground and has a curved frame. Her furious dark locks are believed to have been handed down to her from her grandmother and those locks are almost never out of place, with each curl falling neatly to add to the capacious body of hair. Her skin has a pale-white hue, which was only enhanced when she was born to darkness (being born In Ireland). Eyes of a piercing dark blue hue act as the predominant features upon a heart-shaped face with pursed, full lips that always seem to have a tint of burgundy stained upon them. Her hands are small and smooth, with nimble fingers to act as the claws of a feline. A hue of rose flushes her cheeks, but only when she has fed and feels relatively content.
Being born in the 18th century, Raenah grew up wearing a mantua, a petticoat and stays and, despite her reluctance to alter her fashions, she was forced to as time passed and fashion irrevocably changed. Normally, she will wear pastel colours (as was the custom in the 1700's), particularly pink, as she believes it highlights her hair. She usually wears gowns which are long, flowing and soft and that are laced or sheered in places, as she is anything but modest. She enjoys attention and relishes in wearing clothing that attracts it.
Sexual Orientation: Bi-sexual
Background: Born in 1702 to a family of Catholic farmers in co. Offaly, Ireland, Raenah was no stranger to the terms 'work' and 'hardship.' With the Penal Laws having just been introduced in the country, Raenah and her family of four brothers, one elder sister and her mother and father began to suffer under the hands of sectarianism. Having four brothers, the death of Raenah’s father meant that the minimal land holdings that they did own had to be split amongst the boys. The plots that emerged were less than sustainable, with her brothers all married and with many children to feed. Raenah and her sister, Neala had not expected their brothers to come to their aid: one, it was against custom, and two, it was a ridiculous notion to think that a tiny land holding could feed more than one person, let alone seven or eight.
Raenah’s mother, Saoirse, soon died and the now sixteen year old Raenah was left to try and fend for herself. She was passed from brother to brother each week, every one outwardly displeased with her presence. She could understand their frustration and it angered her that she did not have the freedom of will and body that men had. Neala was now married, being twenty and Raenah found herself more alone than ever before. She would fulfil her duties daily; she washed the potatoes that came in, she helped with the cooking. Nothing, however, alleviated her self-pity and when she did have the privilege to travel into town with her brothers, she was only then even relatively pleased.
In 1728, everything changed for Raenah. At this point she had married a local teacher named John Bishop. The marriage was one of convenience on her behest and she never attempted to refute that fact. John was aware of this and he loved her all the same. He had married her for her spirit and attractiveness and Raenah was not an idiot; she knew when she needed to conform. On a mild summer’s night in 1728 Raenah decided to take a walk outside. The garden that John took great pride in was, admittedly, very fair and Raenah enjoyed it’s company more than her work-driven husband’s. A figure emerged from the darkness and approached her. Raenah has never forgotten the utter chill that ran through her body when he rounded the corner. It was an ethereal chill. She remembers how the deep-voiced man with the countenance of a God propositioned her. He had said that he knew her feelings of dismay and that he could give her the freedom and will that she longed for. Raenah practically ran into the man’s arms. Her life was never the same.
Raenah was elevated to the rank of 'noble' fairly hastily upon arriving as a member of the Silvers. Her outward shows of aggression and passion impressed the Silver's leader. Raenah's maker was an elder by the name of Alcuin and their strong bond meant that her being elevated became an easy task; Alcuin had a great reputation in the bloodline. Raenah immediately showed initiative, expressing a desire for self-promotion and never masking her thirsts. However popular she may be amidst the elevated ranks, the general members of the clan dislike her impulsive tendencies and she does not discourage their displeasure with her ignorance and intolerance. She enjoys a good fight with her prey and loves to tease the hunters.
