Name: Jack Blythe
Nickname: Gore, Red Demon
Age: 27
Power: Jack has the ability to control his own blood, like a psychic ability. Often drawing it from vials strapped to his belt, he can cause the blood to crystallize, creating a mask over his face, and a sharp weapon and shield for his arms.
Status: Villains trainer
Face claim: John Simm
Sexuality: Heterosexual.
Physical Appearance: Jack stands at 5' 9" and weighs 130 lbs. He has bleached blonde hair, with a dirty-looking shadow of a beard. His eyes are a dark brown, and his eyebrows round with a medium thickness. His nose is long and pointed, and his ears slightly large. The hair on his head has started to thin, but it hasn't become highly noticeable yet.
Clothing: Likes hoodies and dark colored clothing, usually with jeans. He creates a mask out of his own crystallized blood when he needs it. He carries his blood in vials attached to his belt.
Marks: Due to his need to cut himself to draw blood to utilize his powers, he has several scars on his arms, but these are usually covered with long sleeves.
Personality: Jack is known to be moody and unpredictable. One moment, he'll be friendly, understanding, and silly, then he'll randomly go berserk at the drop of a hat. Some suspect that he may be bipolar, but he has not been diagnosed. Although he can have a big bark, he has little bite. Unless he is given reason to hurt someone, he generally would not. He can also be sarcastic to the point of being ridiculous, taking his jokes too far. He does not take criticism very well, and is likely to get defensive if someone suggests he made a mistake or has something to improve on.
Jack breaks the mold of what it means to be a villain in many ways. For instance, he's very courteous to women, especially older women. His female victims are often confused by his manners as he robs them or holds them hostage. He believes that being a villain does not mean one has to be lacking of moral code, rather he believes that a person's loyalty to themselves and their own standards are especially important for villains to help keep them sane. He is loyal to those he calls his friends, and he will only tell a lie if he can justify it. He's even known to help people with his powers, such as one time when he saved a woman from a group of men who were trying to gang rape her. Of course, the men were unrecognizable when he was through with them, but the woman was okay.
He used to be a religious man, and he still holds on to some of his old fashioned values, although he'll often take the middle ground in political and religious debates. He is resentful of God, and of His devout followers, but some of the old Christian songs he grew up with still give him a sense of nostalgia.
Likes: Women, money, and strong liquor are all that he needs to have a good time. He enjoys playing his guitar, and performing heists are very euphoric for him.
Dislikes: Criticism, being lied to, hypocrisy, God, and noisy children.
Fears: Death, failure, heights, commitment, and spiders.
Weaknesses: His powers weaken when his blood is diluted in water, and his crystallized blood becomes brittle when exposed to heat. If he runs out of blood to use, he has to draw from his own body, which has obvious negative effects on his mind and body. He can be easily taunted into anger at times.
Strengths: If his blood mixes with other liquids, he can control the liquid as well, but the power weakens as his blood becomes more diluted. If he can get his blood into the body of an opponent, he can take control of their bodies or kill them in horrific ways, such as crystallizing their blood stream or causing their organs to explode. Additionally, by manipulating the blood cells in his body, he can prevent bleeding out and can close up his wounds. Because of the bizarre way he acts sometimes, people can underestimate his intellect. He is actually very intuitive, especially when it comes to human behavior.
History: Jack was both the class clown and the loner in his school years. He was depressed and tried to hide it with his humorous behavior. His life at home was pretty normal. Both of his parents were still together and happy, they didn't struggle with poverty or health issues, but for reasons that may be mostly chemical, Jack couldn't shake his feelings of inadequacy and uncertainty about the future. The first time he discovered his powers was when he tried to slit his wrists, and the cuts kept instantly sealing with coagulated blood. This discovery was like a godsend for him, giving him a feeling of uniqueness, as well as new abilities to experiment with.
He soon started to use his abilities to help people, working as a neighborhood super hero. At first, this was rewarding, but it grew stale over time. He began to feel like being a super hero was a thankless job. People liked him when he put his mask on, but with it off, he was nothing special.
His family was always religious, but he became more devout in his college years, seeking God to give him a higher purpose and to heal him of his depression. Over the years, however, seeing no change despite his best efforts, he started harboring contempt for the God who seemed to be ignoring him. Eventually, this hate of his led him to rebel, using his super powers to steal money. The thrill of stealing turned into its own reward.
Joining the group: When Jack became a villain, he needed people who were like him for him to relate to. Having a team of villains also helps when those pesky heroes come to try to stop him.
Relationships:Lara McIntosh - Lara's personality is quite different from Jacks, her being more mature and in control, while Jack is childish and a bit bi-polar. These opposites complement one another. In fact, Jack's relationship with Lara is almost like that of a father with his daughter. Both share an appreciation for the art of sarcasm, and a hatred of authority. Jack hates God, and Lara hates the government.
Eris Kronin - Because of Eris' cold and inexpressive demeanor, as well as her psychic abilities, Jack thinks that she is strange and creepy. It's difficult for him to find anything in her to relate to, and he is a bit nervous and self-conscious around her. Because of her mind-reading ability, he has to be careful what thoughts enter his mind when she's near.
Paisley Marrison - Jack is a bit unsure of what to think about Paisley. Her youthful, doll-like appearance makes her seem fragile. Knowing of her powers, however, makes her dangerous, especially up close. She's like a rose with thorns to him; a living contradiction. She doesn't laugh at his jokes, which is a significant barrier between them.
Eiko Kurai Winters - Out of all the villains he works with, Eiko is the one most alike to himself. Both are energetic and childish, and he finds her pranks entertaining. He has learned to keep an eye on her to prevent himself from becoming her next target, as well as to keep her out of trouble--which is easier said than done. The two share a pretty close bond.
Genevieve LeBlanc - The other trainer of the villains, Jack sees Genevieve as a business partner. He respects her and acknowledges--privately--her superior intellect and planning ability. He does resent her lack of trust in him, however. Their methods also differ, his centering around his personal code of ethics.
