Full Name: Kimchi Klockwerk
Nicknames: Ku-who (by her dreamer), Kim, the clock keeper.
Description: Kimchi hasn't changed dramatically in the time that the six have been gone. Kimchi is a pastel-colored Cuckoo bird robot designed like a Victorian antique. At full height she comes in at 3ft, not including the winding top hat she constantly adorns. This bronze-colored top hat has a winding spiral wrapped around it leading to a black patch that makes the hat look like an imitation of a cuckoo clock. Kimchi is covered in in bright pastel panels that have since faded. Her eyes are blank white clock faces except for single clock hands that act as pupils. A black hour hand on the side of her head leads to the spiky hair like back of her head. Moving down her chest has an engrave heart with wings. Kimchi has fully functional wings that when folded have fully functional dome-shaped clocks. Her thin legs end in three toed talons along with a capsule where spoked wheels can protrude. (How they were and what they became)
Personality: Kimchi is practical, methodical, and observant but not to the point of being boring about it. Kimchi tries very hard to be constantly upbeat and making sure that everyone around her is that way too. Internally, Kimchi houses many mechanisms to ensure enjoyment such as a music box. Kimchi is more of a leader than a follower and always believes she knows the best way to handle a situation. Despite her happy face Kimchi is very sensitive and emotional , but she doesn't like to burden others with her problems.
Kimchi's personality took the brunt of the time alone. Despite her previous clockwork appearance, it had never been so closely paired with her personality. Kimchi counts the seconds when she's away from Helena aloud with an almost manic "tic tic tic tic". Maintaining her realm's clocks helps her to pass the time when not playing. She come to rely on the certain predictability of clocks almost as much as she relies on Helena. when stressed she can be heard counting the seconds as the pass, and this rate increases the more agitated she gets.
Powers:
Flight: Kimchi's metal wings are hardly going to zoom her across the sky, but they are strong enough to carry her and one small passenger.
Analyst: Her time examining clocks and her keen vision have given her an affinity for noticing when things repeat themselves.
Photographic Memory: Almost anything Kimchi sees is stored for future reference.
Swordsman?: While hardly a master, Helena's experience with the vorpal blade has inspired Kimchi to don a sharpened minute hand as a sword.
Weaknesses:
Self-conscious: Kimchi is a robot and knows she can always be improving. And in doing so seeks advancement, sometimes at her own detriment.
Methodical: Kimchi is not skilled at spontaneous or primed to deal with random in any way. Such situations often make her a deer in the headlights.
Brief History:Before the six, Kimchi had been one of the few denizens of Chalet, most renowned for her commitment to the clock tower and solely the clock tower. Before meeting the six Kimchi was fully content managing it. Living mostly dormant within the clock tower most of her fresh air came from the hourly trip her platform took outside. Upon meeting Helena, Kimchi started to spend more and more time with her until playing with her and her friends became just as important to her as maintaining the clock. When the full six still came, Kimchi always delighted in being able to perform and entertain them. Her realm was very well suited for games such as hide and seek where she would hide special trinkets and oddities in the trees. Going out to find these trinkets often meant exploring much of otherworld and so Kimchi used to explore the other realms often. As the six started to stop coming Kimchi believed that she just needed to soup up her games. This brought her to experience the corruption of the others firsthand. Her loyalty to the other imaginaries came before attracting the six. She built more clock towers around Chalet so that the others could count the time that it took the six to come back. She didn't imagine it would be quite so long for some of them. Eventually the approaching corruption made it too dangerous for Kimchi to leave far beyond her clock tower and so she drew herself and her trinkets inside. Here she waited and counted (literally in tallies on the wall) until the six would come back. There have been many false alarms that have drawn her out into danger or to protect her realm.
Realm: Kimchi's realm is called chalet and is primarily comprised of Chalet Forest. Chalet resembles a forest that is constantly shifting on giant clock work gears. The constantly shifting paths are somewhat of a safety mechanism for Kimchi, but could get someone unfamiliar with the schedule lost. Every dark brown tree is grown intricately carved in a unique way. They all resemble carved wooden clocks. At the relative center of the realm is a Cuckoo clock tower that Kimchi lives in. This clock tower is far larger on the inside as its mechanisms help run the revolutions of the entire realm. These gears work in the same scheduled way of the rest of the realm and house different rooms on the different layers. Less developed and explored parts of Chalet function with an hourglass motif of shifting sands and deserts.
The corruption of her realm has resulted in the desynchronization of some of the gears as well as the cracking and warping of some trees. Trees bend in ways that jam gears and prevent the rhythm of land. Kimchi spends most of her time outside repairing such damages.
