Physical Description and Personality: Rose is by no means a physically impressive character. Her small and light wight body allows for her to only do so much, though her vampire nature makes up for what she lacks in build. Ultimately, Rose can match an average human for strength. What Rose lacks in strength though, she more then makes up for in speed and dexterity. Part of this speed comes from her vamperic nature, but it's derived from Rose's own dexterous ability. Rose inherited the best of her mother and himself as Saito says. The young girl has her mothers red hair, cut short and unkempt just as Rose prefers and her fathers Honeyed brown eyes, though Rose's have darkened since her turning. Her skin has retained a mild tan, despite her not being able to spend time in sunlight as she once did. Perhaps it is the large amount of time she spends in her shaded garden that has allowed Rose to keep her tanned skin, though she does burn sometimes, especially when she accidentally falls asleep outside. I'm afraid Rose is not the most careful of vampires, or people in general for that matter. Rose's body is criss-crossed with a series of aging but still visible scars from the time of her turning. She makes little effort to hide them but she does not speak about them, either changing the subject or walking away when the item is brought up.

The physical item that is most noticeable about Rose though is her small size. Rose, has retained the youthful appearance of a small child, having not aged much at all visibly since the time she was turned. However her actual more mature self can be seen in how Rose carries herself and in the facial expressions and emotions she displays. Despite her mature outlook on life though, Rose has maintained a childish curiosity for the world around her and others, this has made her an extremely kind and nice person, but she's a bit careless. This childishness though is quickly evaporated by what Rose sometimes has to say. Rose is known for being extremely insightful in a 'wise beyond her age' kind of way that causes most people to take her childishness in strides. Rose is a joyful personality to have along, she strives to try and make other people feel happy and accepted and Rose loves making new friends. Rose has for the most part recovered from her traumatic turning, however she is still haunted by periodic nightmares from the event and she feels uncomfortable when alone for extended periods of time.

History:
Rose's early life was one of simplicity but love dominated by her ever present mother. Saito's time with Rose was sporadic because of his hunting, but he loved Rose very much and Rose always enjoyed her time with him when he was home. Though simple, the Hailel's were able to afford some luxuries, one of these being the best education that they could get for Rose and as a result Rose became a truly inquisitive and forward thinking child. It was a happy child hood and one that was doomed to failure.

Rose was 12 when life as she knew it ended. Rose knew that her father was a hunter, and though she didn't like the idea of hunting others, she always thought that they were safe. She was wrong. One night, the Hailel homestead was broken into by an old enemy, a vampire of some renown. The vampire wished for a painful revenge on Saito and he quickly enacted it in murdering Saito's wife and Rose's mother in front of Rose's very eyes. Rose was horrified but to terrified to move when the vampire turned to her. Rose though she was going to die, and for up to a year afterward, thought it would be best if she had. The vampire instead kidnapped Rose and for the next week tore the young girl apart slowly. Every night he would leave her broken and bloody, on the edges of consciousness but never enough to kill her. This lasted seven days and nights until Rose was very near to death. The vampire, not wishing his vengeance to end so soon, forcefully turned Rose into a vampire. The shock and pain from that night quickly knocked Rose into a minor coma, which she awoke from in the back of a covered wagon being driven by her father. It was months before Rose had physically recovered, but it took a full year to recover from the rape and brutality she had received on those seven days.

Rose traveled with her father, helping him out in what little ways she could with the founding of Lindville and now spends much of her time when not on night watch as all mature vampires do, in her garden or exploring the settlement around dawn or dusk. Rose has developed quiet the little green thumb and fills most of the time she should be sleeping with gardening, reading, drawing, playing a guitar she taught herself how to use, or writing in her diary. Perhaps the reason why she does not sleep though is that Rose still suffers from infrequent nightmares from her traumatic turning and she also is very uncomfortable in being alone for a long time.

Items: Rose lives a modest life with her father, her few luxuries being a wide collection of books she has obtained and an acoustic guitar she had taught herself how to play, both of these items she enjoys immensely. Her most precious possessions however are her garden that she takes care of and a diary that she has kept since the first day she turned.

Feeding Preference: Though some might think it not right, Rose greatly prefers human blood over that of animals. She no longer finds it to be disturbing as she once did but ever since her father let her feed of his blood to live during their travels, she has never quite liked the taste of animal blood. She has never actually bitten anyone before though, her father always bled himself. Though she'll never admit it to anyone, Rose dreams of the day when she can....well you know....bite the person she loves. It's a very embarrassing dream and one she has not revealed outside of her diary.

Mate:Rose does not have a mate, or really anyone she is looking at for that matter. Much to the ridicule of her friends, Rose has never even had any real romantic feelings for anyone yet. Her human friends make fun of her for it because she's 17 and never even dated, they blame her size for it. And her vampire friends say that she's mature now and should start considering these things. Perhaps they do it just to see her face go terribly red from blushing though.

Apprentices: Perhaps it was the traumatic way in which Rose herself was turned, but Rose has no wish to ever turn a human unless they specifically ask it of her. And even then she would have her reservations.

Tell: Rose's main tell is that her honeyed brown eyes begin to darken and turn red and her hair darkens to a deeper shade of red as well. However, Rose never allows herself to get to this point because the longer she goes without feeding, the more frequent and vivid her nightmares become. Though she still harbors some reservations about feeding on human blood, she is far more afraid of her own dreams.
