Amelia is an ignorant woman. It is not that she is foolish or dumb, by far she is not. She is literate and well versed in poetry and music from many tutors that her father has hired for her over the years. However, she is ignorant to suffering. Born with a silver spoon in her mouth, Amelia has never known hardship or lost besides the death of her mother. Even then, her mother died at such a young age that Amelia has no memory of the woman and feels no pain from it. She believes life to be a game. In this game, Amelia will create her own rules knowing that her womanly body and coy features will be able to carry her through life. She knows how to manipulate in order to get her desires and has no fear of being the center of attention. Amelia, despite all this, has a curious heart. She often would wake up in the middle of the night to the sounds of the beast crying out as her father whipped it. Growing up in such a household left little room for her opinion on such creatures to bloom.

When Amelia was three, her mother died from a stillbirth. To fill the motherly void, James gave his daughter everything a girl could ever want. She had multiple tutors for the arts and knows Latin fluently as well as being able to read. James is very proud of his daughter, only leading him to spoil her more. Amelia has never needed to lift a finger in her life, everything being handed over with a simple request. She is outwardly passive to her father but will often go behind his back.
