While usually calm and unmotivated, Rin has a leader's standing for a reason. He's quick to respond in a situation, though it's usually very passive. A bit selfish in everything he does, for Rin to do something it needs an underlying motive that can advance himself. Rather blunt and forthputting, many find him apathetic. He's quick to voice his opinion and get into debates.
Still, Rin is very passive about things, and would much rather avoid any hostilities. A battle of wits is better than a battle of fists, in his opinion and he's always solving disputes by talking them out. Pretty reserved, Rin doesn't talk about his personal life or emotions, as he finds getting attached to be a waste of time. He always thinks logically, not wanting his emotions to get in the way of making a decision. Despite seeming calm around others, Rin does not do well by himself. He's a bit self-deprecating when alone, so he tends to stay around others at all times.
Despite this, he's not always serious. Frankly, he's more likely to pull jokes out of his ass than be stern with his subordinates. He can be a bit aggressive with those, but normally he lets his leader do all the work. He was just a supervisor, in his opinion. Rin is known to push his job aside, normally found sleeping or avoiding responsibilities with a passion.

Originally from Japan, Rin lived there until he was fourteen. What could one say about his life? It was pretty normal, he went to school, was in a sports team, met a girl. To him, this girl was very special. They were fond of each other, and grew very close. Though, the girl suffered from depression and an abusive home, two things Rin knew nothing about. When he was thirteen, the girl was hit by a car, deemed an accident by the local authorities.
About a year later his parents moved him and his family to Washington, DC. He was never told the reasoning but found out that it was due to his father having an affair with another woman, and they went to drastic lengths to get away from her and the drama. His parents ultimately got a divorce and his mother gained custody of him and his sister. Recently, as of last year, his mother remarried some politician and they've been living with him since.
The last few years have been rocky and Rin found himself hanging out with some unsavory people. Though they weren't thugs, just typical teenagers that went out to smoke or drink, his mother and step-father were very disappointed in him, and almost sent him away to some military school. Before that could happen though, he became a legal adult by the United State's standards, and is constantly running himself amok.
