Bailey Willis

Really, I'm just a kid...

0 · 272 views · located in Infrai Island

a character in “Infrai Island”, as played by ItzReesieCup

Description

Name: Bailey Willis
Age: 14
Gender: Girl

Personality: Very loud, very rebellious. She's always attempting to escape and plotting against the people. She swears like a sailor and isn't afraid to tell people what she wants to say. Is also a bit of a clown around the other test subjects, trying her best to turn everything into a joke and never taking anything seriously.

Position: Test subject.

Power: She can transport her soul into peoples dreams as they sleep. She can't put them to sleep, and they have to be in the R.E.D phase. If she wanted to, she could kill their soul which is always taking place in the dreams. She can't necessarily control the dream, she can just control herself in the dream and choose the scene. She was born that way, and she's proud of it.History: Her parents abandoned her at an orphanage, where she was adopted by a poor family who just wanted food stamps. They abused her, calling her a freak because of the scary vibe she just gives to everyone. She didn't know she had her power, her soul just transported itself into other peoples dreams. She thought it was her dreaming of the other people. However, when she killed someone in a dream and they died in their sleep, she knew something was different. Only then was she kidnapped and sent to the horrible island.

Other: During testing, they failed on her, giving her a discolored patch of skin around her eye, almost like a bruise. It changes color due to whatever emotion she's currently feeling. She can't stand it, she hates having her emotions displayed.

Bailey jumped even more against the wall. She could feel herself bruising. She was going to escape this time or die trying. She knew it was most likely the second one, but it was better than being here. Yesterday that one creep stuck a needle in her eye just to see if the discoloration affected my "eyesight".

She knew they hated it when she hurt herself; they thought they would loose research. She had tried to kill them in their dreams, but their defenses only made it possible for her to be present in them. It gave her satisfaction knowing that she could find their darkest fears and play them like a movie. It was a great feeling. Unfortunately, they were working on a defense for that.

"YOU'RE ALL A BUNCH OF PUSSYS! YOU'RE JUST SCARED THAT I'LL HAUNT YOUR NIGHTMARES AGAIN!" She wanted them to open her door, she had a plan.

Her plan wasn't working. She was even more pissed now than ever. The discoloration around her eye began to turn a burning red color, when she realized they hadn't even fed her today.

"YOU'RE GOING TO KILL ME AREN'T YOU?" She shouted to nobody. She hated the solitary confinement thing. She'd rather be tortured than be by herself all the time. "WHY THE HELL WON'T YOU ANSWER ME!?" She had worked herself up into tears.

She finally gave up and sat against the wall. She hated silence. She used to hate loud noises, until she was locked alone. She would have slept, but nobody there would have a dream for her to torture.

For the first time since she had been here, the patch of skin then turned icey blue, and she burried her head in her knees and began to sob.

I guess this is it. I'm never getting out. I'll die here like the rest of them. We're all screwed.

"However did you guess, Tabitha?" Nick finally replaced the face mask he'd used to go into Andras' cell, putting it back with the rest of the protective gear he'd decided to neglect. "Same old. Subjects to see, tests to carry out, the usual routine." He leant against the door, only briefly glancing towards the door of Bailey's cell. She'd shut up soon enough. Nick raised an eyebrow, smirking. "However, what's a pretty thing like you doing down here in a place like this?" The flirting was only a joke (well, partly) - if he had been serious, he certainly would have used a better pick up line. No, this was merely to poke fun at Tabitha. He knew how she felt about most of the other testers, if not all of them. "Certainly not doing tests. You might break a nail." Now he'd just moved into a realm of jibes.

Another minute passed, another outburst from Bailey. He really would have to do something about that, but not yet. Let her shout for a little bit first, wear her throat out. However, everyone else seemed to be starting to move. No point standing here. Who was left for him to play with? Well, someone had already marked herself out as a target. Nick pushed himself off the wall he'd been leaning on and began making his way to Bailey's cell, passing the small group that was forming with his fellow testers. Here he paused for a moment, grabbing the blue streak in Vivid's hair and tugging on it so her head was pulled back, all so she could see him while he responded to her comment. "Indeed. All in a day's work, Vivid. Well. Maybe a lifetime for you."

A quick push to move the girl away and Nick was off again, eventually reaching Bailey's cell. He could hear sobbing inside - interesting. But he didn't open the door just yet, instead leaning against it so Bailey could hear him. "Don't stop yelling Bailey. I'm really interested to find out what you're going to do to me. Because you're fantastic at getting into my dreams, aren't you?" Of course, thanks to his little artificial gift, she could barely scratch them. It wouldn't hurt to remind her though.

"Don't stop yelling Bailey. I'm really interested to find out what you're going to do to me. Because you're fantastic at getting into my dreams, aren't you?" Mocked an all-too-familiar voice.

She stopped her crying instantly, extremely embarressed that she had shown any weakness at all to these bastards. But she wasn't going to yell, no that would be just what he wanted. Instead she stood up, waiting for him to come in.

"Nick, we both know I can't do anything to you. The real question is, what are you going to do to me." She kept her voice cool and emotionless, any shakiness from her earlier sobs gone as she remembered her original plan. "Besides, I'm just a kid. What one EARTH could I do to you?"

She leaned against the wall casually, knowing that he was going to come in eventually. She didn't want to show fear, which she rarely did. However, she wanted to kick herself for letting herself give up.

Brooklyn

Brooklyn took a glance over to Charles when she had heard him speak, nothing more than just a simple hello, towards everyone she presumed. “Hello,” she said in return to him before turning her head away, wondering what sort of tests were going to happen today.

When she’d looked away from the man she saw one of the scientists pull on some of Vivid’s hair, such cruel treatment. Brooklyn only hoped that the testing would get done and over with, but when she was out of her cell that was always a way she could be able to break free from the facility.

Without the walls in her cells confining her, she could easily phase through and out the walls of the facility and be free. Yet, there wasn’t any doubt in her mind they’d end up finding her, they were on an island after all.

[Tabitha

Tabitha let out a small, sarcastic laugh towards the man. His odd ways of trying to poke fun of her never really bothered her in the least, she only had to deal with him here and here only. “Working of course, I don’t just come down here to treat the subjects like dirt and get some sort of… nasty pleasure out of it like you do,” she looked at him with a dull smile.

“Me? Break a nail? No I don’t much care about that, they’re only nails nothing more, I’m not all about looks you know,” she flashed him her hand, her nails had been trimmed down nice and short, how she liked them.

“I like testing for more of a scientific purpose, I am a scientist after all,” Tabitha paused from speaking when she’d heard Bailey yelling down the hall, screaming about something. Soon nick went walked down towards Bailey’s cell, not before pulling on Vivid’s hair, causing her to give a slight glare. That man didn’t have any limits what-so-ever.

With a shrug of her shoulders she turned around to Tony, giving him one more look before walking off down the corridor, towards one of the cells. It was Jak Ross’s cell, the one who was able to morph into shadows. “Alright, Jak, it’s time for some testing.. you’ll come peacefully yes?,” she questioned before opening the door to the cell, quickly turning the flood lights off that kept him from escaping under the shadow of under the door.

"Please, Bailey, that would just give the game away." Nick muttered, idly examining the fingers that Vivid had dyed blue and using the middle one to gesture at Tony's back. 'His' test subjects? Really now, something would have to be done about the older man's superiority. He raised his voice, calling after the other tester. "Have fun, Tony." A 'friendly' comment would rile him more than an insult. Maybe he'd just have to drop in on his testing room later.

Right now, though, he was focused on Bailey. Sighing, Nick drummed his fingers against the door, mulling over Bailey's words in their entirety. Eventually, he responded. "Well, you could probably do quite a lot if you put your mind to something other than producing swear words, dear." Finally he spun around and opened the door to the girl's cell, standing in the doorway and pulling the gun out as a deterrent for if Bailey decided to try and tackle him. Really, he needed to pick up one of his better weapons. "Mm, I think I'll take a look at that patch around your eye again today. If you come quietly, I might actually numb your eye before I do anything."

Bailey smiled her most sweet and innocent smile that she possessed. She didn't need to tackle him, she had other ways of violence. Really, she preferred attacks to the brain. They seemed to have more of an effect on people.

"Don't be ridiculous, you can put that gun away." Her smile faded just a bit. "I'm sure you know I've learned my lesson from the first time I tried to attack one of you guys." She actually shuddered at the memory. They weren't too kind here. "Actually, I just want to talk a little bit about you." She stepped forward until she was right in his face. "I want to know just why you love to torture us so much." She had done her mental research on this one, his story intrigued her. "Something about your dad, right?" She smiled evily, the patch around her eye turning into a suspicious purple color, one that they still didn't know the meaning of.

She stared right into his eyes, waiting for her statement to take effect on him. It really was her favorite part, watching these people's eyes drain of any life as she revealed things about their past that they never shared. It was the best payback she could imaging.

Kalex sat straight up, legs tucked close to her body as she held on to them with a stone hard grip. She had to stay awake. It had been three days since she had last fallen asleep. Why? She had to remember, even if it was for only a few days. Her pathetic excuse for clothing, an off-white patient's robe with small pink dots, let her know two things:
1. If she fell asleep she'd forget everything.
2. Don't trust anyone.

The past three days had proved these points, scientists repeatedly had entered her cell to explain her present situation, at first they tried to make it seem like a doctors visit, she had extreme amnesia and they were trying to help her fix it. Quickly she realized that was not the case as they proceeded to shock her with what felt like cattle prods to get a reaction from her mind and would force her to fall into deep trances as she touched objects that contained dreadful memories. They had proved the 1st advice from her memories by constantly reminding her if she went to sleep it would all go away, more recently they had stopped reminding her.

She had learned she wasn't the only one here, there were other screams of pain and whispers of conversation. Kalex had yet to be tested on today but perhaps they were more interested in watching her drive herself insane under the stress of not sleeping. Her eyes were droopy with dark circles and there was a purplish bruise forming on her left arm where she had pinched herself repeatedly to prevent sleep. Scientists had passed by and they led a group of the other subjects past her to continue some testing. One of the scientists remained and was taunting a girl, he had a gun out, Kalex hated how casually he held that gun.

"Stop..." She meekly squeaked out, it didn't matter if he heard or not she needed the release of that word, the slight objection to his torture of another human. Her emotions broke apart and she started crying, the lack of sleep was messing with her mind.

"What if I don't want to put the gun away?" The tone of the tester's voice was casual, almost like he was discussing the weather rather than a potentially fatal weapon. Nick tilted the gun slightly so if he fired, the bullet would lodge itself inside Bailey's knee, forcing her to the floor and making her much easier to deal with. Still, even with this preparation, he didn't fire as she approached him. If she did something a littl pe out of line he could act under the guise of punishing her, at that would give him a lot more scope for his actions.

However, the thoughts of experiments and torture were pushed out of his mind as Bailey spoke. He wasn't overly shocked, he just seemed... indifferent. "I think you'll find I'm not a very interesting person to talk about. Has it not just occurred to you that I might like it?" A grin. "You've called me a sick bastard enough times, I really thought you would think of it."

He stepped away from the door, holding his hands out in a sarcastic 'ladies first' gesture to indicate Bailey should go through the door. "Now, are you going to shut up and come quietly or do I have to carry you again? I think we'll pick up your friend Kalex just over there too, she seems so concerned for your well being it would be a shame if she missed out."

Bailey's eyes darted to the door of the other girl, her secret caring side beginning to come into. She always tried to hide that she cared about other people, but the patch of skin turning into a friendly yellow really didn't help. She really wished she was like Vivid and could control it.

"If I go will you leave her alone for right now?" She said, glaring at him with enough poision to kill an entire city. She then walked over to him, only a few inches in between them. "Or are you going to torture- I mean test- her anyways so you can feel powerful and in control." The corners of her mouth twitched ever-so-slightly. "Power fells good doesn't it? The fact that you can do whatever you want to us and we can't fight back. I bet it's your wet dream." She smiled at her crude sexual reference, but she honestly was just guessing. She didn't really look into any sexual dreams of anyone; she didn't really like that. "But I bet if we could fight back, you'd show us all what a fucking coward you really are. You'd run with your tail between your legs crying for your mommy." The smile faded as she got a step closer, not even giving him any personal space. "Admit it. You're a scared little boy. You keep us weak and defenseless so we can't do anything to you. You want us 'cured' so we don't kill you after you're done testing on us. Well why don't I just say this right now; you can't do it. You can poke, prod, and test us, but you will never cure us. I garuntee it." She then stepped back. "Now lets get this over with."

"What do you think?" Of course Nick wasn't going to leave Kalex alone. He'd never tested these two together before, and he already had something planned. Even better, the room was set up for it already. Oh, this was going to be fun. Nick didn't drop Bailey's gaze, smirking and giving a small shrug. "Well, that's one aspect of it. Would you like to know a fun fact?" He lifted his other hand and gently lifted Bailey's chin up slightly, resting his fingers there. "There were other subjects before you, some not exactly weak and defenceless. They fought back. And guess who got to put them down when we sorted them out?" He moved his hand to Bailey's shoulder, guiding her towards the door and shutting it behind him. "So, let's recap. Only one out of three statements about me correct. Must do better, Bailey."

Enough talking. Nick kept a hold on Bailey just in case as he crossed over to Kalex's call, raising an eyebrow at her outburst. "Yes, well done." He muttered, prising her hands away from the bars and carefully leading her out of her cell. He always found it hard to meet the requirements of treating Kalex almost like you would a small child - fragile - but thankfully once they got on with testing he could forget that little detail.

Bailey didn't even answer him and took hold of Kalex, putting her arm around the weak subject protectively. She really didn't find it fair; she knew Nick would do the same kind of testing to both of them, even though Kalex couldn't handle it.

"So what do you have in mind today Nick?" She questioned icily, holding the girl to her in a motherly fashion. She then bit her lip, thinking about how easily it would be to snap this girl like a twig.

"Can you... Can you go easier on her at least? Be somewhat humane?" She really pitied Kalex; the poor thing barely knew what was happening to her. If she had a soft spot, it was for Kalex. She didn't really care that she was showing her weak side; she wanted this girl to leave in all one piece.

Kalex took comfort in the arm around her, human contact without pain was a nice feeling and generated warmth and safety in her subconscious memory. She looked at Bailey with a slight smile this girl reminded her that all of the subjects were in the same boat, she didn't know what the girl could do with her powers she could tell she was a little safer in her care.

"It's okay. I can handle what he throws at me, I'm still alive aren't I?" Kalex reassured the girl, even if she didn't remember it she had faced the tortures of Nick before. She had already determined these tests were a daily thing, most of her past three days had been heavily based on painful memory recollection, mental torture, and shock therapy, nothing too physically painful, these previous tests made her ignorant of the possibilities.
