Fia is very easy to get along with due to her innate ability to mingle with the nobles and the commoners at the same time. She studies hard but she can joke just as hard, and while she's blunt in defending what she truly believes in she's humble in the face of compliments or praise.
It's hard to change Fia's mind once it's set on something, and if you mix that in with the fact that she's always looking for a new adventure, she can find herself in tight jams a lot.

✫ Short Bio ✫
Fialynn was the daughter of a farmer and housewife. They were on the low end of the Middle Class in Fallon and struggled every day to make enough money just to pay rent and taxes, yet alone food and other items. Nevertheless there was love in their household, lots of it, and that made up for the lack of money.
When Fia was seven her mother died from an infection they couldn't afford to treat, and one evening when Fialynn was eleven her father died when a tree fell on him in the middle of a storm as he made his way into town to trade his crops.
After losing both her parents Fia quickly became one of the many orphans on the street, begging for food and trading labor for a place to stay.
A couple years later when Fia was thirteen a Senior Mage, named Kaia, from a neighboring nation walked past her in a market as she was begging for food. When no one gave her anything Kaia saw her stealing, but instead of simply grabbing something and running Kaia noticed her staring at a piece of produce until it suddenly appeared in her pocket. The ability seemed to shock her and she was noticeably drained by the trick she just happened to pull off, but the Mage saw great potential. An orphan girl with no formal training had enough raw talent to move a piece of food into her pocket by accident simply by staring at it.
Kaia would take Fia under her wing that day, and after several years of studying Fialynn flourished into a skilled Mage and notable member of high society, however she grew homesick for Fallon and after encouragement from Kaia, the Mage that became like a Mother to her, Fialynn made her way back to her people in Fallon at the age of 22.
She quickly started making a living as a Mercenary of sorts - renting her powers out to whoever could afford it while teaching young disadvantaged children basic magic on the side in her free time. Being in that line of work has made her familiar with all the houses of Fallon but subsequently caused her to loathe the political squabbling going on in the name of power. So now she rarely agrees to work for any of the houses directly and instead has decided to loan her abilities to the Royal Guard.* That being said, she's still liable to help individuals she's fond of from one of the five houses with non-political things if they ask her.
* I can imagine joining the Royal Guard won't be a smooth process, since many don't look kindly upon magic. YAY DRAMA!?
But yeah, mercenaries are meant to be outsiders who don't fit in but get the job done - eh? =D
