ever since he could remember he was modeling for the choi's fashion industry. evidently, the career made him rather jaded growing up. he was constantly being pushed and pulled right and left to become a successful money maker for his parents, making him loathe the rich and desire a different style of life. his head is constantly in the clouds sprouting creative ideas and thoughts about the world. even though his career forced him to be around others, he still remained reserved and even shy in some cases. it wasn't necessarily that he didn't know how to talk to people, he just had such a unique mindset compared to the elite that were constantly around him. since he hasn't had much people experience, he has been left fairly sensitive. whenever someone does anything remotely negative towards him, he takes it quite personally. his tendency to be dramatic makes it so that he begins to ignore those who have even slightly offended him. this antisocial behavior was what forced his parents to make him go on this island vacation with the others. they were genuinely concerned by his drastically different personality that they hoped the others might influence him.

caden's father hugh came from ireland as a struggling actor looking for parts in new york. with little to no success, he ended up as a bartender in a fairly popular bar for celebrities. there he met his future wife sienna, a professional model. after quickly eloping, the couple had a bright idea to start a modeling agency. they took struggling models desperate for work and turned it into a flourishing company. a year later they had caden. β once caden was old enough to talk in clear sentences, the choi's hired him as a model for their brand. this was a friendly engagement between the two families in which caden didn't have much of a say in. the job was grueling, and far from what he was passionate about. the constant push to be social and in the limelight only made him close up more. thankfully he had his friend myung-dae to be supportive of him and his true interests. the two boys hit it off as soon as they met, and they have been friends ever since. β even though he was quite busy with his forced career, caden grew up painting, writing, and just about anything that would put his imagination to work. his favorite thing to do would be painting birds in his backyard. one day he was even lucky enough to have a squirrel muse. once he was old enough to drive, he immediately zoomed off to upstate new york where he could explore the woods and wildlife. being away from the crazy people in new york and into the real earth made him feel the most at peace. this was where he developed his more otherworldly personality. this drastic change certainly worried the bennett's as they couldn't understand why he didn't appreciate the lavish lifestyle they lived. in an attempt to make him less of a "hippie" as they called him, they brought him to their work socials where they would meet potential clients and work partners. unfortunately, caden preferred to be a wallflower than a friend to the other families children. this led them to send caden off to the island with the rest of the troublemakers, in hopes he would become more normal.
