Personality:
Renai is a very quiet child. She is known to zone out at times and appear almost as if she's in a trance. This is not because she's empty minded as other students will say, but because she is usually reflecting on something or allowing her mind to run free at the sight of something. She's shy around most people and bit clingy to those she likes. She's also easily scared and easy to upset, which again make her an easy target for bullies. Many of the teachers would have simply given up trying to teach the girl anything if she wasn't such an excellent air bender. While she's not on the level of her current teacher Ace, she is the brightest bender of her class. Bending just seems to come naturally to her. Renai is a compassionate child and caring child, but she has very low self esteem which probably comes from being so terribly bullied by her peers. She relies on Ace like a rod to lean on at times but perhaps too much. She does not like being separated from at all.

History:
Renai's parents were minor tradesmen who ran a small bookstore. Though neither of them were air benders they are both from families with air benders in the line. When Renai was born they were not expecting her to be a bender but when she began to discover her bending powers they were quick to send her to the academy in their temple. Renai first started attending her school at the age of eight, but she always had a hard time. It wasn't that she couldn't pass the classes, Renai was always the top of her class. The problem was that Renai had a habit of zoning out, be it in class, in practice, or in the hallways. This tended to get her in trouble with the teachers and picked on by other students. She was always a quiet child but this treatment caused her to retreat into herself and she became depressed. The elders had been keeping an eye on her because of the promise she showed and became worried when her grades started suffering and she began to seem farther and farther away from them. It was then that they decided it would be best to pull Renai out of the traditional learning experience and place her under the teaching of the newest elder, Ace Chiidore. The individual and personal learning experience seemed to have worked and Renai very quickly started to regain her old glow. However, a small side effect of this began to develop as well and Renai became rather inseparable from Ace, whether he wanted her with him or not. She still does not speak much and remains a very quiet child, even when only Ace is present. However, she could not be any happier, all it takes is for a person to look into her eyes and see their sparkle.
Other:Renai is very clingy to Ace, she considers him her best friend as well as her mentor. She has a very large crush on Ace though she's too shy to admit it but not always shy enough to show it.
