Nickname: ‘The Goblin Blight’, also known as ‘The Weapon Eater’
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Race: Goblin (Mutated)
Personality: Skurge is a vulgar, violent, and selfish brute of a creature, who is not afraid to speak his honest mind, but his opinion is rarely appreciated due to most of his concerns are of his favourite topics; murder, weaponry, drinking or nourishment. He often has little regard for the feelings or safety of others, but could occasionally be swayed by a pretty face or possibly a kindred spirit on the battle field, but tends to show little interest in affairs other than his own.
Often when a problem or a new discovery presents itself the first course of action Skurge would go for is to destroy, kill, swear or eat at it until it is solved or does something interesting, occasionally all four, and as a result is far from the most intelligent of his species, even by goblin standards, rarely thinking his actions through before doing them. In battle he is extremely vicious, mixing his weapon attacks with punching, kicking, biting and evne head butting until his foe has fallen, only to move onto the next opponent, rarely showing any remorse at a death by his hands, almost cockier with every kill he makes.
He is also and incredibly bad liar, unable to tell a fib to save his life, which on occasion is the case, and on the receiving end is extremely gullible.
Skurge inexplicably refers to everyone in third person, using a nickname if he does not know their name already.
Bio: Skurge has little memory of his origins, but his tale begins in an underground village of his kin, which lived somewhat in a mix of fear and fury of the dangerously violent above world, living off what little supplies they could muster as they were unable to hold their own on the surface. Because of this fact, it wasn‘t much of a surprise they were nearly entirely wiped out by the time Skurge was twelve years old, by a mysterious group of dark mages who rounded up and captured the remaining goblins, Skurge himself included.
Apart from the mere sport of blasting a goblin to pieces with magic, the dark mages needed more ‘subjects’ for their magical experiments, a variety of spells, incantations, and curses to be used sparingly on the goblins for the benefit of research, and possibly for giggles as well. Skurge seemed to be a favourite target, been one so young, but was carefully kept alive due to his age possibly meant a longer living specimen, constantly at the mercy of his captors, who frankly didn’t have any. This understandably made hatred, murderous intent and fury grown inside the young goblin until he reached the age of sixteen, when one of the leading mages decided to actually conduct a serious experiment.
The plan was to transform Skurge from a defenceless goblin captive, into a merciless killing monstrosity for their own purposes. They first started with infusing fragments of demon flesh into his very own being granting him endurance and agility of an enchanted level, and the miscalculation of making Skurge grow a small pair of horns. This then led them to work on the main meat of the experiment; making Skurge a living armoury. Knowing fully well actually giving him a whole armoury would be ridiculously stupid of them, they conducted a incantation for creating weapons out of thins air in a spell circle around the goblin, that was boosted with a vial of a mysterious mixture, apparently rumoured to be substance created by a being of chaos, but was known to cause even more mutations in beings, which Skurge was forced to drink.
The experiment was somewhat a success, Skurge became a goblin with the ability to shift limbs into weaponry, after forcing him to ingest and entire knife first, which thankfully was much easier done due to gaining powerful jaws and digestive system from the mutation also, was put to the test against a number of his brethren, forced to murder each of his opponents, and eventually was considered a success, given a few more weapons to add to his collection, but not without being given a new cell with the door able to keep him and his powers at bay.
It wasn’t too long afterwards Skurge took advantage of his new powers when a new guard that brought his meal managed to carelessly release the goblin to allow him to eat with out shutting the door behind him, to which Skurge hastily made his escape, feverishly murdering any that wandered into his path between him and freedom, and luckily due to the mages arrogantly believing no-one would even think of attempting to escape, there was very little in the ways of security as he barged out of their hideaway and into the wilderness.
Ever since, Skurge has been wandering the lands, murdering any creature that decided to attack him, or anyone he felt like murdering, until one day when spying on some nomads he heard that apparently a castle was gathering beings of all kinds in an attempt for world domination. This was something that surprisingly peaked his interest, not because he wanted to help establish order in the world, but that it would be a guarantee for violence and weaponry galore if he got involved with them. So, he set off to Castle Yuki to assist in their efforts, for his own selfish desires.
Indepth look at your weaponry: Mutant ability: Skurge has gained the bizarre ability to shift any of limbs into magically enhanced weapon, from swords to bows, maces to scythes, though is limited to only two limbs to be transformed at a time.
To be able to shift a body part into a weapon though require shim to ingest the weapon himself, in other words, eat a weapon, to gain it’s properties for use, though is unable to shift a limb into ammunition or thrown weapons, such as arrows or shurikens, and would require to use real versions of them. He is also unable to shift one limb at a time if using a two-handed weapon, such as a great sword or a bow. He is also unable to eat any magical weapons, such as an enchanted sword, a cursed dagger, a wizards staff, or a wand.
Due to his mutations his also now with extremely powerful jaws that are a little more powerful than a sharks bite, and has a digestive track that allows him ‘absorb’ the weaponry he eats into his being.
He is currently able to create the following weapons;
- a dagger
- a short-sword
- a hammer
- a bow
- a spear
- an axe
- a sickle
Diminutive Height: Standing at 3 feet tall, Skurge as the advantage of being underestimated, especially since goblins aren’t well known for their power. Also because of his height, it is much easier for him to sneak into tight places where mostly only children would fit into,
Natural Goblin Skills: Like many goblins, he is able to see in the dark and has an extremely strong sense of smell, allowing him to discover someone’s presence by this skill alone if their smell is not masked. These abilities are also his own bane at times as he can be blinded by sudden appearance of light if in a dark area easily and can at times be overwhelmed by extremely strong smells, and also has a venomous hatred for the smell of flowers or perfume.
Inhuman agility and endurance: Due to the fragments of demons flesh infused to his own being, Skurge has superior agility and endurance, being able to survive a direct strike to the skull from a war hammer, walk along tightropes, balance on the edges of rooftops, and survive from a fall from a collapsing tower.
Appearance: Skurge stands at three feet tall, with a deceptively skinny yet sinewy physique, dark green skin, and a large round, almost bald head, apart from the bristly top knot held together by three red wooden rings atop his head and a few stray hairs around his scalp. He has large flat out-turned ears much like a mouse or an elephant, with a number of piercing of jewellery made of fake gold, small vicious eyes under a hairless brow, which in turn are underneath a small pair of demonic horns protruding from his skull, a dog-like pale nose, and a wide maw of tiny sharp teeth, accompanied by a few whiskers on his chin. His hands and feet are all with claw like nails, and have pulsing purple veins around his shins and forearms.
He wears an odd flat piece of material with a collar around his neck and atop his collar bone, originally used for attaching a chain of restraint, along with a necklace of shiny round stones he made back in his village. He carries a brown quiver to carry arrows for him to use in combat, and a pair brown leather loincloth pants.
Why are you here at Castle Yuki?: After overhearing of the rumours about the castle by some nomads, Skurge decided to assist Yuki’s cause due to the promise of murder and weaponry it contains. He has yet to arrive to Castle Yuki, but is rather close to it now, and gaining ground towards it still..
