Have you any idea why a raven is like a writing desk?
Break is an interesting specimen. He's been diagnosed with just about everything in the mental instabilities text book. His psychologists have been stumped for years as to just what exactly is wrong with him, and those who have been to see him have signed themselves into the ward a week later. He's shown himself to be a little scatter-brained and is always seeking some sort of amusement. In fact, the only reason he broke out of the asylum is because he became bored. He has no hate for humanity, but instead sees them as toys. He finds that the more simple creatures, even those that are immortal, make for fun playmates to manipulate, and often uses them to cause havoc; which excites him to no end.
The one and only weapon that Break seems to have is a cane he has acquired over his time away from the asylum. Where he got it, no one knows, but he is now never seen without it. It's of an unusual design, and is made of a wood harder than any other, the shaft being able to put dents in cars and block blades. The design is simple, a rounded black cane with a vine-like pattern just under the head. Inside the cane is a blade of moderate length with a double edge. The blade is locked in place, and is rarely used, seeing as Break prefers to play with his victims; rarely resorting to such a quick means to their end.
If he possesses any other such weapon or piece of equipment, he prefers to keep it under his hat.
Break is the son of a demon and a psychotic human woman who suffered from a minor case of schizophrenia. One of his mother's personalities had no qualms with disclosing the details of his conception, and told him just how romantic a location the mental hospital had been. Break killed his own mother with in self defense when she tried to kill him during a psychotic break down after having watched the Disney Alice in Wonderland. This led to a mental breakdown of Break's own, leading him into his life of slaughter. He became a serial killer known throughout New England as the Mad Hatter, for it was reported that he wore a top hat he had stolen during his nightly killings and laughed all the while as he cut down his victims. When he became bored with the killing, he checked himself into a New York Asylum, and there he stayed for seven years, acting as if he were completely convinced that he was the Mad Hatter from the story. It was in this Asylum that his father first contacted him. It was there he learned of his heritage and of his inhuman abilities. It was there he learned he could distort space and time, making things real, unreal, and moving them to different areas. He learned he could create the most vivid illusions that could break the human mind in seconds. It was there he learned the joys of toying with the human species. He left the Asylum when he became bored with the patients and doctors there, moving on to the big city, where a whole different store of toys awaited him. Oh how much fun he could have, what games he could play. What would he do first? What kind of playmates will be there to join him? Oh, how he wonders with awe at the capabilities.
