Name: Koren Verrome
Gender: Male
Age: 31
Species: Human
Oress: Sytel
Alliance: Umbra's Mansion
Originally From: A small town (think Renaissance-era style stuff), although Koren actually lives on a large estate on the outskirts of town.
Appearance: Koren stands at around six feet, is well-shaved, and is generally clean enough to pass for nobilitiy. As seen above, he wears a leather vest of sorts, and carries around a longsword. He's not that great at actually using a sword, to be honest.
Personality: Koren, despite outside appearances, is probably the most vile son-of-a-bitch you could ever hope to meet in this lifetime, the next, or the one after that. Typically, he appears as being a polite, well-mannered man; but, past the surface, he's a backstabbing, lying, cheating, manipulating bastard. Oh, and he looks down on the unfortunate and betrays. A lot.
First Impressions: Well, to be honest, Koren doesn't really care about the Competition. Sure, he could get to be something more than a god; but that's kinda boring.
Likes: People that pay their taxes, money, women, good music, money, good art, money, good food, and money. Oh, and power.
Dislikes: People who don't pay their taxes, peasants, idealists, bastards, idealist bastards, heroes, bards, philosophers, or anyone smart enough to expose him.
Fears: Being exposed.
Goals: Power, money, and women.
History: See, Koren and his older brother have a clever little two-man con going on. Typically, Koren's brother - who had his own little gang of ruffians - would terrorize a little town for a while. Koren would come along as a random hero, and save the town from the evils of the bandits. Koren's brother god whatever was taken from the people, and Koren got anything the people gave him. Eventually, they'd split the loot, sell off anything unnecessary, and move on. Now, the brothers made their grand moment when the baron of their next town was killed in the attack by the bandits. Needless to say Koren freed the people from the "tyranny" of the bandits, and became the Baron of the local village.
Shortly after he arrived, trade began pouring into the town - and, by extension, Koren's vaults. Gradually, the bandit attacks ceased, and Koren even invited his brother to be in charge of the tax collection agency, assuring that the vast majority of money in the village was held by them. With that, Koren settled into a comfortable life of backstabbing when he needed to. Everything was fine, until one day, he woke up in a completely unfamiliar place that was definitely not his bedroom in the Verrome manor.
