Rose was well, what most children would call a "teachers pet". Just because she was smart, and didn't like to torment the teachers and other students. It got ridiculous really, being called names and treated as if she was an outcast simply because she enjoyed school, enjoyed being smart, enjoyed having a future. And well, that was more than she could say for most students here. They were going no where..fast.

Recently, they'd started an assignment in Science Class. As the teacher thought that Rose could "turn a student around", she'd paired her with the school's biggest asshole. Jock "Number 1". Peter Petrelli. Walking into class, she sat at the two seat biology table. Crossing her legs, she turned towards the door and waited for her partner to appear. That is, if he actually decided to show up today.
