"What do you mean you see him make 'eyes at me'? I don't even speak to the man half the time, only when he's on break or bringing me a patient when it's slow, James!" She sighed, rolling her eyes as they stood on the sidewalk outside the hospital, in the parking lot of all places. "James, do you even hear yourself right now? Because I don't think you do." She hissed, and had her hands on her hips in a standoffish manner. "You know what? I have patients to deal with, and I don't need you, of all the people in the world, to ruin my mood!" She huffed, and started walking back to her area, not giving a flip about what else he'd said. She hadn't heard it anyway.
"Ugh, men." She sighed, and walked in the hospital, smiling towards the patients she passed in the hallways and nodding to fellow employees. Then, of course, she turned that same corner he was turning and ran right into him. Thankfully, he wasn't covered in blood or whatever bodily fluid usually came out of his department. "Oh, I'm sorry, Aleksandr! I didn't even realize.. " She looked down, and bit her lip, slowly looking back up at him. "I'll see you around?" She shrugged, and started to walk off.
However, just as enunciation changes the meaning of the words, so did the glances, from a friendly "oh hey!" To a more sultry "Oh, heeey~"
He didn't mind (excessively) if other men did that to Emi. It did bother him if she returned a similar glance.
"Emi, if he make eyes at you-"
"What do you mean you see him make 'eyes at me'? I don't even speak to the man half the time, only when he's on break or bringing me a patient when it's slow, James!"
....maybe she was in a bad mood. "Well I cant-" Help but feel a little jealous was what he was going to say, but she seemed to know he was going to say that.
"James, do you even hear yourself right now? Because I don't think you do."
He was immediately taken aback, unable to respond fast enough before her to huff,"You know what? I have patients to deal with, and I don't need you, of all the people in the world, to ruin my mood!" ...And she left.
"...Wait, how did I ruin your mood? You didn't even let me finish the sentence! Hey! DAMN IT!!" He didn't pursue her. She wouldn't listen to him in this state. Maybe he would have to bring it up later, after buying her her favorite food and waiting till she was in a good mood, about 10 minutes after any evidence of food was gone. After calming down a bit, he simply returned to the hospital.
He didn't take Emi's route, but that didn't mean she wasn't in his line of sight. He sighed. Honestly, how hard was it to only acknowledge and carry on? He could do it. Why was it so hard for her?
...I need to organize my patients files anyways. Now wasn't the best time to think about it.

As Aleksandr turned the corner, heading toward the nearest break room to grab a bite to eat before the next surgery that was scheduled, Emilene ran straight into him. "Oh, I'm sorry, Aleksandr! I didn't even realize..." she said, biting her lip awkwardly. "I'll see you around?" she continued, before starting to walk away. Aleksandr could tell that she was flustered or annoyed by something.
"Hey," he said calmly, grabbing Emilene's arm and turning her back towards him. "What'd he say this time?" he asked, letting go of her arm before crossing his and leaning his shoulder against the wall. As he leaned, the muscles in his biceps showed through his uniform. He looked at the woman in front of him, seeing the annoyance flashing behind her bright, gray-green eyes. "Let me guess. It has to do with me? Again?" Aleksandr sighed, shaking his head and kinda of laughing.
"I don't see what his issue is. I mean, besides trust. Because if he trusted you, he wouldn't worry about you. He wouldn't need to," Aleksandr stated, turning so that he could lean his shoulder blades against the wall now. "This isn't the first time he's been this way, Emilene. It's getting a little ridiculous. It was one date. One. And you guys weren't even together," he sighed, shaking his head again. "Anyway... I need to grab some food before my next surgery. So I'll see you around, Emilene. Say hi to James for me," Aleksandr said jokingly, giving her a half smile.
Aleksandr started to walk away. As he did so, he thought to himself about the situation between the two "lovebirds." He didn't understand why James was so concerned with Emilene being friends with him. Sure, Aleksandr liked Emilene. He liked her way more than he truly let on. But James shouldn't concern himself with their friendship unless there really was a threat there. And there would only be a threat if Emilene had feelings for him too. Aleksandr turned around to look at Emilene, who was still standing there. He shook the thought from his head, continuing on.

Before she realized it, it was her lunch break, and she went off to James's office hallway, and leaned against the doorframe. "Busy still?" She smiled softly, and had her arms crossed. "Busy or not, you need a break." She leaned on his desk, and pecked his forehead. "c'mon, James." She chuckled, and blinked.

He flinched slightly when he heard Emi, suddenly at the door. He looked at the time on the desktop. 12:04. Wow. Time flies with fury work. It seemed to be slow whenever he dealed with patients, especially the ones with social anxiety.
"Busy or not, you need a break." He grinned when she pecked his forehead. He slowly stood up, stretching for the first time since the start of his shift. "You don't think you can fix stiffness?" He lowered his arms. "So do you want to go eat out for once? I know a place that has great food, and we won't have to wait long for it." Also, my brother owns the restaurant. Maybe now it's a good time for you to meet my family, even if its by bits and out of order. "You wanna go?"

"We don't have to.. but it's just a nice thought." She smiled, interestingly.
"-Say...should we maybe invite Aleksandr? He seems awfully lonely lately."
Crap. Crap.CRAP. Alright, lets think, options...
A. HELL TO THE FUCK NO.
...Ha-ha, yeah, that won't go down well.
B. ...I want to take you out, not him.
Maybe?
C. Ha-ha, youre funny. Let's go before we end up having to eat here.
I like this one better than the last option.
D. Sure, why not?
NO.
"We don't have to.. but it's just a nice thought."
It really isn't...maybe I'll go with C. Sort of.
"Ha-ha... lets...just go. He'll be fine on his own, he's a grown man," he chuckled, running his hand through her hair, briefly twirling a lock of hair.
...That wasn't what I planned to say...
