Jackson Smith's Story

Emilene is usually a caring, sensitive young woman. Usually. But today, of course James has to make a huge deal about something that happened months ago. She'd only seen Aleksandr passing in the hallways of the hospital all three happened to work at, anyway. So what was the huge deal?


"What do you mean you see him make 'eyes at me'? I don't even speak to the man half the time, only when he's on break or bringing me a patient when it's slow, James!" She sighed, rolling her eyes as they stood on the sidewalk outside the hospital, in the parking lot of all places. "James, do you even hear yourself right now? Because I don't think you do." She hissed, and had her hands on her hips in a standoffish manner. "You know what? I have patients to deal with, and I don't need you, of all the people in the world, to ruin my mood!" She huffed, and started walking back to her area, not giving a flip about what else he'd said. She hadn't heard it anyway.

"Ugh, men." She sighed, and walked in the hospital, smiling towards the patients she passed in the hallways and nodding to fellow employees. Then, of course, she turned that same corner he was turning and ran right into him. Thankfully, he wasn't covered in blood or whatever bodily fluid usually came out of his department. "Oh, I'm sorry, Aleksandr! I didn't even realize.. " She looked down, and bit her lip, slowly looking back up at him. "I'll see you around?" She shrugged, and started to walk off.
