Astrid's Story

Astrid's world slowly came in and out of focus she gently brushed her fingers across her brusies and needle injections. She winced at the throbbing pain that numbed her whole body. She heard a small klangs coming closer and closer to her, she went on high alert mode preparing for the worst. A bald guard came into her cell she pressed her back into the cell wall. He held a small needle in his hand that held a clear blue liquid he strudded to her grining "Stay away from me!" She said her voice shaking "no it's time for medicine." He replied evilly. He leaned toward her placing the needle on her arm. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath

She opened her eyes feeling full of energy she quickly punched the man in the nose and sank the needle into his flesh she kicked him and grabbed his keys she was heading for the end of the hallway she turned around and saw the sad hurt eyes of strangers. She stood mesmertised by the time she shook her self from the trance two guards were after her she didn't struggle as the picked her up slammed her on the cell floor and started beating her. Right before she passed out she thought 'should I try to save them? Even if I cant save myself....' she heard the faint clang of the cell door as darkness engulfed her.

Amayu looked at the guard still growling with the intent to kill, soon, though, she stood up and sat on her bed crossing her arms and legs in a smug fashion to give a 'you gonna attempt something?' sort of aura. She noticed though a little blur run by and she nodded, "good luck..." she mumbled after hearing a nervous hello from her Growling, by this time the guard backed off since her injuries are minimal. She looked at the window ignoring the electrical shocks, "Hello?" she said loudly in a typical nice tone, "Are you still there?" she asked smiling a little, at least someone was friendly.

Astrid always kept her wings tucked up and away so she looked more human than most. She lay siting on the hard concrete floor her hands suspended above her head and her legs and thighs chained together she grinned at the thought of what she did earlier she hadn't felt an adrenaline rush like that after she turned 14 and decided to stop trying to escape. her grin turned into a frown as she remembered the faces of those strangers, she hadn't even known a single person and she had been here for FOURTEEN FREAKING YEARS! 'Well that's what you get for being in solitary confinement you idiot!' 'Shut up!' "Damnit know I'm talking to myself!' she said out loud. "Well hopefully you wont be alive to do that much longer pain in the ass-trid" Astrid rolled her eyes at a guard she didn't see before....Actually to think of it she had never seen him before. Her left wing twitched sure enough they weren't tied. "So what kind of freak are you?" he said painfully shocking her throat. she closed her mouth as if saying ' I don't have to tell you anything!" she accidently said the last part out loud. The guard motioned for five guards three of them were taken from other cells at least those people can have a break for a bit. Two of the guards grabbed her arms and the rest either shocked, stabbed, or hit her. "Stop it you fatasses!" she screamed kicking at the guards. Soon a big bald guard came in he had a fresh long scar running down his arm 'Whoever did that is one of my heroes' "Time for test lab." He said smiling. The two jerks that had her arms started carrying-er-dragged her down the hallway. I looked at the faces of the people.... it was sad that they tested us and experimented on us just because they were different. One of them glared at me as if to say 'You don't belong her...human' I was not about to be called a horrible beast aka a human!
she took a deep breath and unfolded her wings the thirteen foot wingspan came out her wings have matured so now they were a deep (almost black) purple. her wings took the guards by surprise and knocked the two guards that were holding her. While the guards were still in a daze she ran to hide but tripped and fell into a cell. her face flushed at embarrassment and she quickly hid in a corner were the guards wouldn't be able to see her she folded her wings back in 'Bur! Is it me or is it freezing in this empty cell'.....'or at least I thought it was empty' she thought to herself as she looked up and saw a pair of bright green eyes staring at her. "I...I'm so sorry I didn't know anyone was in here" She says than she whispers "Just please let me stay here until they pass....."

Kuma

she looked back at him and for a moment her left eye looked gold before returning back to its green hue and she blinked. shaking her head a little Kuma looked back at her door and sighed before answering " i dont think so, i know so you have to trust me on this, we will get out of here remember our promise?" Kuma knew Jonas for a long time and she liked him very much, he was the closest thing she could call family. they had made a promise a few years back that they would escape together, along with whoever wanted to join them.

"like hell I'm going to stay here you bastards, cant keep us locked up forever" Kuma was upset and she smelled blood but it wasn't hers but she recognized it to be the girl who lived near Jonas and her, and her blood was coming from her left 'is she inside Jonas's cell'. she cocked her head listening to what the girl said next "my dear I don't think its wise to stay there if they find out you in Jonas's cell, your going to get him in trouble" the guards finally regained their senses and were looking for the girl, they were just about to pass her cell and if they did they would find the girl in Jonas's cell and they would both be punished. 'well its now or never' and with that last thought she yelled at the guards "hey uglies did you really just get outsmarted by us freaks, how sad" mocking them, in hopes they will turn their attention to her and forget about the girl if long enough for her to go back to her cell.

and it did work a bit too much as they turned their attention to her "shut up you freak" as one jabbed her with an electric stick, the voltage was higher than anytime before, Kuma tried to keep it in but it hurt to much as she let out a roar full of pain that or they stabbed her or hit her.

the guards kept this up for a few minutes, the entire time they laughed at Kuma, thankfully they stopped, one jabbed her one last time but with something sharp as it bite into the skin of her stomach. Kuma managed to keep her mouth shut despite the fact that the guard was purposly pushing the blade deeper into her skin making it all the more painful. finally the guard grew tired of this and left her, and Kuma finally let out a small growl full of pain, her eye's flashed with fury and she glared at the wall of her cell trying to stop her shaking. after they were well out of view Kuma lifted her head to look over at Jonas and the girl a smile on her bloodied face "I think their gone, now hurry back to your cell little one before they come back" Kuma's voice cracked as pain over took her and she began to lose conscious "well it looks like its lights out for me" joking a little before her eyes closed and she was unconscious.

"I dont think so, I know so. You have to trust me on this, we will get out of here. Remember our promise?" Kuma said, looking at him with her knowing eyes.

Yes, Jonas remembered the promise. He remembered them both getting dragged to a test where they were tied to each other and thrown into a pool. Both of them almost died during that test and afterwards they had sworn that they wouldn't put up with the Magic Facility's tyranny for their whole lives.

He took a deep breath, that was a long time ago. The Tacuri had worn him down, he was starting to lose his will. If it wasn't for Kuma, Jonas didn't know where he would be. I'd probably be about as sane as Joker. He thought with a shudder. He was glad he had someone like Kuma to keep him sane and her assurance that they'd escape and her faith in their promise made him feel as if it was possible. "Of course I remember," he said softly, eyeing a guard coldly as they walked past before looking back to Kuma. For the first time in a long time, Jonas smiled, "Between the two of us, I think we could find a way out."

A crash in his cell caused Jonas to jump, thinking the Tacuri had returned for another torture session. Jonas sat up in his bed and looked towards the corner where he thought he heard some shuffling. His green eyes caught site of a girl, cowering in the corner of his cell. He narrowed his eyes at her and was about to tell her to leave but was interrupted.

"I...I'm so sorry I didn't know anyone was in here" The girl says frantically before her voice drops to a whisper,"just please let me stay here until they pass....."

Jonas looked at her skeptically, then shrugged and leaned back in his cot again, shrugging. "Fine, but if we get caught it's on your head." He said impassively. He couldn't just kick her out, she seemed so desperate and scared, he looked at her out of the corner of his eye and wondered what they had been doing to her to get her that way.

"My dear I don't think its wise to stay there if they find out you in Jonas's cell, your going to get him in trouble." Kuma said, her voice echoing in Jonas's cell from where she sat in her own cell. He looked over at his friend as she began to distract the guards. He smiled and mouthed the words 'thank you' to her, then turned to the other girl.

"You need to get to your cell," Jonas instructed, "If you don't, they'll just punish both of us more severely." He looked at her body, she was severely injured, and he couldn't help but feel the need to help her. He took a deep breath and motioned for her to come closer to him. "Before you leave, though, come here. I'm a healer, I won't let them hurt a girl like that. He said, his eyes flashing angrily but his tone soft.

The guards finally left, leaving Kuma bloodied and seriously injured. Jonas looked to his friend as she slowly lost conciousness and clenched his fists. He would not let the Tacuri get away with doing these things to anyone anymore. It was inhumane and no one deserved that kind of pain.

He finally tore his eyes away from his bloodied friend, he'd see what he could do to help her when she woke up but for now he needed to heal the girl. "Come on, we need to do this quickly, before they come back." He hissed, reaching out more impatiently.

He was relieved to see that the burns were already beginning to heal. He was grateful that he healed faster than others, it made it hurt just a bit less when he was taking on the pain and injuries of someone else.

Finally, he grabbed the girls wrist and closed his eyes tightly, preparing himself for the pain.

The first thing he felt was a searing pain in his neck where the girl had been shocked, then the rest seemed to come in, more electricity burns and stab wounds. Blood blossomed on his shirt as the new wounds opened up. Finally, they stopped coming and he opened his eyes, the life drained quite a bit from the green orbs, their light dulled. He gasped and held his chest, forgetting to let go of the girl's arm, the pain so severe.

He remembered her presence and his eyes shot to her face, glowing with health and life after Jonas's 'healing session'. It almost made him feel better seeing her looking so healthy. He released her wrist and pushed her towards the door, wincing at the pain that shot through his newly torn and burned arm. "Go! Now!" He hissed through clenched teeth. He felt himself losing himself to a blanket of darkness and laid back, more than happy to give himself away to the sweet, painless sleep of unconsciousness.

Ashley smiles, "nice to meet you, do you understand, who you are?" Ashley smiles again trying to sound happy, "your powers, I mean, do you know, how do I day this, do you know you have magic?" Ashley asks and sits down as close as she can to Jackie.
"How old are you?" Ashley asks a bit worried.
