Brief History: Avery was the first born of Marian Spencer and famous journalist Marcus Sinclair, while her younger sister was born six years after. When she was just starting out, Avery and her parents had a very happy, normal family relationship. However, after Evelyn was born, Avery began to resent both her and her parents for seemingly shutting her out of the family entirely. Still, that didn't mean she didn't care of her baby sister when she needed it, but as time went on, Avery regressed further and further into herself. Around high school, Avery took a sudden turn on interest from forensic science to literature study, as she became to spend her time in school writing short stories instead of doing work. As her grades began to drop, Avery's parents cracked down on her harder and harder. To simply spite her mother, Avery even died her hair pink. During one argument, when Avery finally explained how she wanted to be a writer, her parents were absolutely furious. They insisted she didn't know what she was doing, and that it was a foolish idea.
When Avery turned eighteen and graduated high school, she immediately moved out of her home to live with her aunt until she find herself a steady living an apartment complex. There, she met her would-be husband for the first time, an English major named Johnathon. The two were completely inseparable for the two years they dated, until Johnathon asked Avery to marry him, which she happily accepted. However, around the time of their wedding, Avery had a big manuscript due for her next book. She tried finishing the night before the wedding, however fell asleep and didn't wake back up until five the following afternoon; she had slept through the whole thing. Avery never saw Johnathon again, she was too ashamed to face him after that as she moved out of the city. She didn't know if he forgave if or if he hated her, she didn't want to know.
Now Avery lives alone, hoping that one day she could get back what she lost, but not hoping for a miracle.
