"hmmm" I ponder "yes, it is a hit wierd, but I don't really care cause i'm wierd too".

He didn't get it. Christ, he just didn't fucking get it. Not even with the other girl coming down here to put some goddamn sense into him. "I'm fine, I started it," he grunted, pushing her away as she tried to help him. "Leave me be. She can't hurt me. I have many scars and she won't give me any new ones. The pain she gives will merely fade."

Then he clambered back up to a straightened stance and looked at Ash. "And compared to what I've been through, Angel, you're nothing but a little bitch."

"Are you fucking retarded?" Ash snarled at him honestly as he started pulling off wrist bands and whatnot to showcase his scars--fuck it, she didn't care. "I just told you if you keep fucking with me, I'm going to fucking hurt you! You think that if you show off your scars to me, I'm gonna be...what, made to feel sorry for you? Like hell!"

"You can do nothing to hurt me," he continued steadily, now pulling his shirt off over his head to reveal even more nasty-ass scars. Ash's scowl intensified, baring teeth. She had no desire to look at his grotesque scars--they made hers look like little pinpricks. He'd obviously been through a lot--fuck, why am I thinking like this? He deserves my hatred. She would not look away. She would admit no weakness. "I don't give a shit, just stop stripping, asshole" she retorted angrily. Fortunately, he did....and then decided it was a good idea to leave it off with a threat. "I'm going to bed. Touch me again, and I'll find someone you don't like, or are hiding from."

Empty threat. Pointless threat. Impossible threat. You gotta be kiddin' me. The scowl on her face twisted back into a smirk as she watched his retreating back, and laughed mirthlessly. "Yeah, no." The seventeen year old thug cracked her knuckles and pointed at his back as her laugh collapsed into merely a series of vague chuckles, just as devoid of triumph or mirth. "Tomorrow, your ass is mine. You're gonna look pretty funny tryin' to eat breakfast tomorrow with no fuckin' teeth!" She looked from his retreating back to the girl--Jo, that was what she'd been called before--and her smile seemed to lessen, if only slightly. Job well done, Ash. "And that's a promise," she murmured, unable to take away the smile from her face as she looked at the girl--afraid that if she did, it might be a sign of lessening resolve. For a second, she simply stood there, mouth grinning but eyes glaring, looking at the face of the girl named Jo. A face where hatred for Ash was already etched--just as it was for everyone here.

It was worth it, she decided as she turned away and began to walk up towards her room. Tomorrow, after she'd made good on her promise, they'd all leave her alone. Nobody would want anything to do with her--that was a good thing, that was how she wanted it. At least if they have any fucking sense, she decided as she slammed the door into her room. She didn't want to have to keep bullying people, she thought she'd been done with that...And now these motherfuckers are giving me reasons to do it again, she thought rabidly, pacing about her room and, entirely without conscious realisation, biting at her fingernails. Cops, teachers, the kids from her school all those years ago, these fucking loonies... Christ, why can't everyone leave me the fuck alone? Don't look at me, don't talk to me, don't fucking touch me, why the hell would anyone want to look at me in the first place? Can't they just keep to themselves and let me be alone?

No. She had to go and have some skinny chick staring at her, and some dude with red hair start telling her shit about herself that she already fucking knew. Just street trash, a burden, thrown away, she already fucking knew. Ugly, disgusting, a pig....pffffft, try again. Didn't hurt. She'd been called ugly and disgusting before. She was well aware of it. She was not attractive and never would be. She was not loved, wanted, or desired, and she never would be.

She could live with that as long as there was nobody around to remind her of what she would never have.

Jo sighs as Lance goes back into the room where the girl waits. He starts to talk to her but Jo blocks it out. Soon its quiet and Jo walks back into the room and notices Lance's retreating figure. Jo looks at the girl, still in the room. "I suggest you sleep. Its gonna be a busy day tomorrow." Jo sighs and heads back upstairs. Jo crosses the hall and into their bedroom where Spence waits. Jo gives Spence a reassuring smile. "Everything is okay... We should get to bed..." Jo whispers and crawls into bed. The beds were small and squished together so if Jo even rolled over she would squish Spence so Jo rolled over to the far end, hugging the wall. "Goodnight Spence.." Jo whispers and she falls asleep.
