Likes: getting his job done. Being a detective is all Austin has left in the world. A firm believer in the morality of "good and evil", Austin strives to maintain his ethical sensibilities in a life dedicated to hunting corruption.
Dislikes: bad-guys, criminals and convicts. Austin is fully committed to his cause as a lawman, and thus has developed a deep disdain for those individuals on the "other side". His iron resolute is adamant to the point of indifference towards the lives of criminals.
Personality
Determined, moralistic and cautious, Austin is a police officer dedicated to his work. Raised on the streets of the city, Austin learned never to compromise his morality, even in the toughest of struggles. His cold, no-nonsense attitude often gives him the appearance of being cold and callous. It's not far from the truth. To Austin, the world is only black and white. Right and wrong. Good and evil.
Past
Born into poverty, Austin's entire life has been an up-hill battle for his honor. Frequently the victim of beatings and muggings in the darker parts of town, Austin quickly learned the neccessity of self-defense and strengh; nurturing the skills carefully. Dutifully he went to school, making an honest living amid the immorality of his world. He joined the local police department, quickly proving himself on the field and earning his detective's badge with considerable ease. Remembering the urgent pleas of his dying mother as a child, Austin dedicates his life to the destruction of corruption and the preservation of the innocent.
