Personality: Sapphire is a cold shell of nothing, well, in truth that is how she would look to the outside world. In her own little world of fantasy she is one of those people who are aggravatingly easy to manipulate. Her temperment is like that of a childs, and if she often dosnt get what she wants she throws tantrums. Sapphire is much more advanced than most of her peers, but she blames that on being homeschooled for most of her life, her knowladge even goes to an extent that she doesnt talk like most people, she instead uses words that not even your avarage highschooler would know.Having said that Sapphire is also very child-like, often having an energetic nature about her, she gets into trouble often, and easily contradicts what people would call the normal behaviour of a teenager. To strangers she is cold and distant, an unknown entity, someone who could be described as black and white, two simple personalities that cannot be defined by fine detail. It takes a long time for her to trust people, in fact, untill she trusts you she wont act like her normal self, and will often be silent and detached. Sapphire isnt particularly fond of her morphus, in fact, she outright is disgusted with it. To her it reflects an image of impurity, something disgusting that she knows to be herself. It reflects her inner emotions, and that is something she dislikes. She beleives that her Morphus is reflectant of her fragility, and how easy it is to hurt her, and the fact that she cannot trust people without first knowing them thuroughly. It hurts her inside to imagine that she is like this on the inside, and more often then not does she become a cold shell of nothingness when she is in the form of her Morphus.

Other then her unnaturally depressing personality that I have listed above, Sapphire can actually be quite the fun loving person. Since she makes friend easily, (Though she dosnt fully trust them untill she knows them completely) she often finds herself sourounded by fun-loving people. She enjoys games, and other things, but often detests anything that isnt fun. She often finds that those drab and boring worry warts are the most scared people, therefore she blockades herself, and acts the part of what you would call a party animal.She is also quite intellectual, she learns fast and commit things to her memory. She has a snapshot memory and can bring things up easily. Seeing as she cannot see and she must use her shadow powers to gather this information she often learns much quicker then your average person. This though is a welcomed advantage that she accepts kindly. Another thing about Sapphire is that she can often get on peoples nerves, wether its from running around like an energetic child, or speaking words that nobody understands, she can be described simply with that one word; Annoying.

Likes:
+Children; She often gets along with children much easier then she does with adults or teenagers her age. She beleivs that since she acts and looks like a child still, then she should atleast be able to be friends with them.
+Art; So what if she cannot see? She can still see through the powers of shadows, and what she has scene is beautiful. She often finds herself staring (Well not really staring) at artistic works of art. She also sometimes sketches, even though she cant really draw well seeing as she can only see according to what her shadows see.
+Rain; Theres nothing better then the feeling of cool rain on your skin.
+Winter; She enjoys the cold, wich is odd, but true, she cant stand the heat at all and during the winter she finds herself outside all the time laying in the cold snow.
+Parties; who dosnt like to just go out and have a ton of fun, theres nothing better to her then parties.
+Singing; One of her better atributes, her voice is one of her best features, and she loves to sing.
+Humanity; Her hopeless obsession with humanity is unnerving, yet in a way understandible.

Dislikes:
+Adults; She has an ever rebellious nature, oddly enough she has never gotten over her initial dislike of Adults, despite the fact she is soon to be one.
+Loud noises; Ironically, she hates loud noises such as sirens or people crying. Even though she is perfectly fine with the noises of loud music or voices.
+Summer; Scary right? A teenager hating summer. yeah well, she cant stand the heat, in fact, she cant stand any season except for Winter and Fall.
+loosing her voice; its a pain to talk, not to mention she cant sing.
+When her Shadows tire her out; the exhausted feeling after using her powers excessively is a terrible feeling, but she often has to put up with it.
+Being Blind; Its annoying, in truth she hasnt always been blind wich makes it worse, and the fact that she cant see anything but the images that the shadows put into her head, makes it three times as worse.

Talents: Sapphire can melt herself into a shadow, litteraly. Almost like she is walking through a doorway, she can easily become a shadow herself. Though it is faintly easy to spot her if she is moving, if she follows in someone elses shadow she can spy on them, even if her sense of hearing during this time is a bit sketchy. She can also to an extent control shadows, have them follow people, or attack people. In a sense this power takes much energy out of her, and cannot be used to a huge extent. But if rarely used she wont get as tired fast. A part of her power to control shadows is also used daily, though it is easy to use this small part without becoming tired, seeing as she was suddenly blinded, she uses the shadows to gather information, and bring it back to her, creating a picture in her mind.

Biography:
Sapphire could deny it all she wants, but her childhood was less then luxurious. Being born in the most ghetto part of the city, she grew up among gang bangers and drug addicts, including her own alchoholic father and sick mother. She was born amongst a larger then normal family, and seeing as they had one of the biggest houses in that part of town they were almost never safe. Sapphire was born with the name Lily Tyler, and retained that name for several long years while she lived in the Tyler household, her mother was sick, and would never get better. It was slow, but obvious, that one day Lily would be alone, with only her several older brothers and her alchoholic father. After many months of pain and sadness swirling around the Tyler house, Ileana Tyler died, leaving the household to fall apart. Her two oldest brothers left for collage, and the rest of them dispersed, either joining gangs or dropping out of school to become stoners. She was left alone with only her father, who was nothing short of pitiful. She began to despise these people, even her brothers that had left to have better lives. She despised them all to the point that she packed her bags and ran away. She hadnt intended to get far, or leave for good, she just wanted to teach them a lesson. But after getting lost navigating her way through the cities many streets she found herself unable to find her way home.

Instead of being her stubborn self and waiting the cold night out she attempted to find her way home, walking through many dark places and fearing for her life. It was then that she realized the fragility of her young life, there were things beyond her comprehension that she couldnt understand, and the cold darkness of it all was now weighing down on her as if it were testing her. She attempted to find her way around, but only ended up much more lost, shivering from the darkness that sourounded her. She closed her eyes for no more then a moment, and found herself later awakening on a sidewalk, still curled up like she had been the night before. Her moving around seemed to startle people, most probably had thought she was just another dead homeless kid. She angrily walked around, searching for a police station or something, but she was drawing closer and closer to the outskirts of the city, and it was getting dark fast.

Another night of cold fear, she pushed past this and walked as far as she could by the light of the street lights, finding herself in front of a very old looking house. She used the small bench swing that was hanging on the patio as a bed, and slept there. She no longer wanted to go home, she knew if she went back nothing but trouble would await her. So she stayed there for that night, and woke up int he morning by an elderly woman prodding her in the side. She awoke shortly after, "Im Alma" the old woman said kindly. Lily was surprised that this woman was kind at all, in fact, who would be kind to a scruffy kid who was sleeping on your porch. It was later found out that Alma Castillo only let her stay on the swing because she was lonely. Lily didnt say anything, in fact she began to think up intricate lies to tell this woman. It would be easy enough. Thats when she ditched her name, and picked up a new one; Sapphire. She told the old woman that she was homeless, and that her father was a drunk who had kicked her out, and that shse had been traveling for days since then.

The woman, Alma, decided something then and there, and that was to take in the odd child. Now renamed Sapphire Castillo the young girl, age ten, was officially adopted by Alma. They lived together for many years, and Alma homeschooled her. She found that she was learning faster then need be though, so it was nearly summer all year long for the girl because she would go through the school curriculum so fast. Alma and her were inseperable for a time, Sapphire had never felt so wanted, and it was a feeling she didnt want to let go of. But the woman was old, and dying. Sapphire sat back and watched as the only person she ever loved let go of life, passing away from old age. So Sapphire took what money was left to her in Almas will, and bought herself a dingy apartment in the city. And even to this day that is where she resides, lonely as ever. Though now she is much more or a..Child.

It was not very long before the time of her becoming that she was suddenly blinded. She hadn't realized it then, but she had become extremely sick, with a virus that attacked her violently. She was cured, but at the cost that the virus had taken her sight away.
