Quiet, dark, and shy, he wishes he could be invisible.
Mason is always dressed in all black. He always has an old, worn journal and his iPod with him.
He also keeps many throwing knives hidden on his person.
The only person who'd ever cared for Mason was his mother. His father had left them when he was two. He had no friends growing up. At school he was made fun and bullied of by the other children; he'd come home bruised and in tears to his mother every day. Eventually, however, he discovered his power. When he showed his mother, she told him never to show anyone else and to pretend to be normal. He did so until he was ten years old. It was that year that his secret was found out when, trying to defend himself, he threw a child clear across the room without touching him. He and his mother were forced to go into hiding. When he was old enough, she sent him to Nightstorm. Though it was by no means safe, it was better than living his life in hiding. She pulled her son into her arms and hugged him goodbye, promising him he'd be happier there.
Two years later, Mason was far from happy. Still friendless, still living in fear, the only consolation was that at least now he could defend himself. In all his time at the school, he has only killed two people, both whom initiated the fight.
