As time went on and the annoyance and irritation in the small Bostonian's body. She just put her legs up to her chest as she laid her head down on her knees. "This is big mistake. God, I'm such an idiot." She said to herself as she looked at the time on her Nokia phone. Before tossing it back in her bag, wishing that Aidan didn't toss her book back into her room when they were leaving the hotel room. At least she would have had something to calm her nerves. But, of course not. Life never liked cutting her a break. It was only when she heard her most hated nickname, that she exhaled and let herself relax a bit.

"Oh, Avy! I come bearing gifts!" She opened the door the door, seeing the pile of swimsuits and the smile on his face as her outstretched his arms, giving her the bikinis. "I'll let you pick out of these, but I want to see each of them on you because my decision matters most." She swallowed the lump in her throat as she grabbed the pile of clothes and closed the door, locking it as well. As she laid them out, matching the top to the bottom, she rolled her eyes before speaking through the door. "Did you leave anything to the imagination when you picked these out? Shit." She scoffed before slipping off her jeans and noticing the scars on her thighs before slipping off her vest and shirt to reveal the mess of scars and burns given to her over the years. There were a few she had given herself but, most were from years ago from the abusive families that just saw her as a way to make money before abandoning her to the agency once again. And having that done to you since you were a couple months old wasn't fun.

Looking at the floral prints and girly prints, she shook her head. "And I don't know if you've noticed but I'm not exactly a girly girl like these swimsuits." She told him as she kicked off her Converses, moving them out of the way. She didn't even look in the mirror as she began putting on the white swimsuit and tying the lace. Before facing towards the mirror, just looking at all of the markings that covered her stomach and back. Avery shook her head before unlocking the door and popping her head out towards Aidan. "I'm not 'modeling' a swimsuit for you in front of all these people, Aidan. If you want to nitpick on me then you can come in here, if not then I'm not getting any of them because I refuse to come out." She said as she looked around seeing the dressing rooms getting even more crowded with people. Most, probably being natives and natives already judged them enough, she didn't need to give them another reason.

"Did you leave anything to the imagination when you picked these out? Shit."

"Ah, don't be such a prude," Aidan rolled his amber eyes. "I didn't even pick them out. I'm not really good at shopping for girls, thank the hot store clerk." He idly fiddled his thumbs, leaning against the wall as he patiently awaited the big reveal. It wasn't until Avery poked her head out and stated that her refusal to show herself in front of the crowd of shoppers. Aidan raised a brow in question, Seriously? She's that self-conscious? Ironic, coming from him. But he bit the bullet and complied silently.

Closing the door behind him, Aidan slowly turned his gaze to her. He stopped dead in his tracks, lips ajar. His eyes roamed her form, taking in the plethora of scars that adorned her skin. He was fully aware that she was probably feeling insecure about it all...he knew the feeling all too well. Aidan placed a hand on her shoulder, "it looks good on you," he beamed. He wasn't lying. Despite the scars, Aidan just so happen to be an admirer of physical flaws. He thought she looked beautiful. "Is this why you didn't want people to see you?" He chuckled, "That's a relief. I thought you had a hairy mole that resembled a second head or something."

He turned his back to her, pulling up the back of his shirt, revealing the marks of the previous family that thought it would be fun to use him as a punching bag. He laughed nervously, "The perks of having a drunken dickhead as a foster parent, I guess." He frowned a bit, "You're the first person I've ever shown them to...feel honored, Avy." He tried to sound lighthearted as he pulled his shirt back down and face. His cheeks were turning pink as he tried in vain not to look so embarrassed. He shrugged before scratching the back of his head.

"Guess we've found something in common. We're both messes."

As Aidan walked in and shut the door behind him, Avery bit her lip out of nervousness. She rarely showed people her scars but the people who did see them always seemed to pity her over them which was something she didn't want from people, only because she knew it was fake. The second they left, they wouldn't give a damn about her, her scars, or her story. When Aidan's eyes met hers, she sighed deeply and cleared her throat as he stood there, shocked. And it seemed like the longer he looked at the multitude of scars and burns on her body, the more she felt him either judging her or pitying her in his mind. She, being the very cynical and pessimistic person she is, she wanted to kick him out of the dressing room. She wanted to just bitch at him even more than she already has, telling him that this was exactly the reason she didn't want to do this. But, before she could do any of the things she wanted to do, he put a hand on her shoulder which made her quite puzzled as she turned her eyes from the wooden floors to his. "it looks good on you,"

The girl gave him a small smile. "Thanks." That was the only thing she could say, she was speechless. He was the first person to actually not be bothered by her imperfects. "Is this why you didn't want people to see you?" Avery shrugged looking away from the man in front of him before hearing him chuckle which made her quickly look back at him, furiously. "That's a relief. I thought you had a hairy mole that resembled a second head or something." As much as this annoyed her, she couldn't help but break a smile before softly pushing his shoulder. "That's not funny, Aidan." She told him, the small smile still on her face before looking as him as he turned his back to her and pulled up his shirt, revealing his own 'battle scars'. The longer she looked at them, the longer she couldn't believe it. He seemed as if he came from a perfectly fine background, sure maybe he could have been a foster kid but she just assumed he was one of the lucky ones to end up in a good family who actually cared about their new child.

"The perks of having a drunken dickhead as a foster parent, I guess." She knew the pain better than anyone, being thrown into an abusive family wasn't a fun situation especially when you weren't old enough to protect yourself. As much as she wanted to agree, she couldn't bring herself to do it. She didn't want to get overly attached to Aidan, or attached at all and telling him about her past was just another way for her to let him in even more than he allowed himself to. "You're the first person I've ever shown them to...feel honored, Avy." For the first time this whole trip, she was speechless. Nothing came to mind as he pulled his shirt down and turned to look back at her. She could see the blush in his cheeks and to be honest, she was blushing too. This was the closest she's ever let someone get and to be honest, she kind of liked it. But would he ever find that out? No, not at all. "Guess we've found something in common. We're both messes."

She scoffed at him before rolling her eyes, Avery was back. "Please, 'mess', is an understatement for what I am. Now, if you don't mind, I have a few more swimsuits to try on. So get out before we start crying like we're in a dramatic soap opera or something." She said as she shooed him out with a smirk on her face the whole time as she shut the door after him.

8:34 p.m

After trying on the rest of the swimsuits and showing Aidan, from inside the dressing room of course. She actually wanted two, sure she wasn't the definition as 'perfect' like some of the native; tall, tan, and beautiful. But, Aidan has his scars too and together, it wasn't so bad. She didn't even go near the water but, it was fun. Yet, there was this one red headed native who kept looking at Aidan as if the two had met and she wasn't a fan of him. It wasn't hard disliking Aidan, but it wasn't hard to like him either. Once the pair had their fun, the sun began to go down, and the natives began setting up for some sort of party they were. Avery decided to make her way back to her hotel room to be able to relax for the night. She was pretty sure Aidan was going to pull her out on the town with him as he has done for almost a straight month but, until he began kicking her door again, she was going to enjoy the peace and quiet she had left.

Eun Hee had finally managed to open her eyes after she had practically thrown her alarm to the wall as soon as it started ringing non stop, she would have had mercy on the practical device but seeing how it wouldn't stop even after turning it off she opted for what she thought was the best choice. Even though it had already been around 2 weeks since she arrived from Soul, the time difference was killing her. She mumbled a bit as soon as her phone went off seeing that she had left it in the night stand and that she would probably had to reach out for it, so when she did her voice came off as irritated with a mix of tiredness to it, "Yeoboseyo" she said in Korean. "Jane" said Aria unsurprised that her most recently new friend was still in bed knowing she had gotten up late pretty much every other day that they had tried going out for breakfast or that they had tried getting out around midday.

Eun Hee had always been a fan of waking up early to make breakfast for herself and her father but with the time zone difference it was a whole different story… It also took her some time to respond to Aria who had just called her by her English name. Truth was she wasn't used to it yet; back home she was just called Eun Hee, but here she was Jane, only a few would call her by her Korean name which made her feel more comfortable. Although, honestly she didn't quite mind if they called her Jane. She would have to get used to it along with many other things that were still new to her.

The reality was that she had traveled to the island to mark a change in her life, it marked a whole new life that she finally had a chance to pursue. With her mother's passing, her life had taken a 180 degree turn, there was nothing holding her back now and she could finally pursue her dream to become successful in life by her own merits. Being it having her own pastry shop, publishing a book or any other dream tat she had.

Finally, after hanging up the phone with Aria, they had decided to meet up at a small shop nearby the beach. Eun Hee finally gotten, she decided to wear her new bikini that she had bought last time with Aria. Before heading out, she stepped outside her balcony and took a deep breath letting the wind touch her face and play with her straighten out hair. She grabbed her small bag and headed outside, she would take a walk to the beach, after all it wasn’t that long of a walk and she enjoyed walking in the mornings especially when there was a weather as nice as the one that very same day.

She wished she could bump into more people in the beach, perhaps some natives or other tourist like herself. She searched on her phone for the other person she liked most out of the ones she had gotten to meet so far. Finally, after finding the name on the screen she started writing:

"Hey, Aria has plans to go to the beach today. Do you have any plans today? "

She finally clicked the sent button, somehow hoping that he was already there.
