Personality
He will always complain about his job, because people don't show it enough respect. In his mind, without the pilot they're still on the ground, and a ship is just a big mounted gun. He is semi-successful with women, although he thinks he's better, and will always bounce back when shot down.
Equipment
He doesn't own a ship, but is able to pilot pretty much anything.
History
He grew up with a rich family, but as the middle child, was somewhat ignored. He started winning a bit of money from small hover-races on his home planet, until he had enough money to get away from there. He hasn't been back since, and his parents don't seem to care.
