Cameron is, or at least he tries to be, very optimistic. However, he does get 'down' on himself a lot, and even takes blame for things he is not responsible for. He's one of the kindest people on the island, and tries to be 'there' for anyone who needs it. He tries to give his best advice, and it usually somehow helps the opposing person. Thankfully for him and the rest of the group, he enjoys physical labor, and there are no fights caused over him not wanting to do something. Cam has a habit of feeling guilty when something goes wrong; he constantly thinks he could have somehow prevented it. He's also not incredibly bright, so it would take him a while to figure out something having to do with physics and the like.

Cameron is Brazilian and Polish. He was born in Brazil and eventually learned English, and he's come a long way from not being able to even ask for directions. He grew up with a relatively normal life for modern times. He had both his mother and father around, however, and was about average when it came to being close to them. He steered clear of drugs and the like for quite a while, but occasionally drank at parties.

Cam had earned enough money for a trip to another country by plane. He decided to cross a small ocean by a ferry - something he'd never done before. The capacity of people became too high, however, and the panic of all the passengers eventually caused the boat to sink. Cameron managed to help pass out life preservers, and successfully got one on a small child even though he was very combative. He'd been too busy to get one for himself, though, and was forced to struggle to keep himself above water. He swam slow and steady before catching eye of land a few days later; he collapsed, exhausted, on the shore of the island - incredibly thankful that there was something solid under him.
