Appearance
A solid ten foot, four inches, he's among the taller Na'vi. Though tall, his body isn't as muscular as some of the other warriors. He's had to work hard to tone his muscles through training every single day, and he's still not as large as some of the others. It used to frustrate him, but now he's accepted who he is and uses his honed agility to his benefit. He may not be the strongest warrior in the clan, but certainly one of the fastest runners.
His stripes are very dark against his skin, and he doesn't seem to have as many stripes as the others around him. His bio-luminescent markings are very defined. He doesn't mind the darkness of his stripes, but his bright bio-luminescent marks get on his nerves when they advertise his moods to the public. He wears traditional Na'vi clothing, with an additional leather bracelet that he never takes off. It was a gift given to him by a fellow warrior that he admired who'd passed away too young.
As far as his face goes, he's got the same golden eyes, very bright. His ears are gauged, to about the size of pebbles. He desires more piercings, but refuses to get them for fear of them being ripped out in battle.
Personality
A humble son of the chief who's finally accepted himself for who he is. It took him years to see that he's one of a kind, but it's finally been knocked into him. He's generally pretty modest and not very bold, which worries his father about how he'll stand in a war. But its his determination that reassures him. Marek could round up a field full of prolemuris and teach them to dance if he set his mind to it. He knows his strengths, and knows that many of them are not physical but mental. He's a rational thinker. Though willing to take action, he prefers to think through a situation before facing it. Another con to his personality for war; if given a surprise situation, could he face it with the same proficiency as if he'd had more time to think? We'll soon see.
He's brave, but cautious. Make someone else take the first step, and you'll see him strolling along behind him as if he'd been doing the new thing for years. Another thing that's not so suited for a leader. But he'll have to manage. He recognizes this and accepts that sometimes, he'll be the first to face a challenge. For example, when he goes to the Hallelujah Mountains right before they start the war to attempt to tame a mountain banshee.
History
As a chief's son, a lot was expected from him and his brother. He was expected to carry himself a certain way, even as a child. While he learned the jungle around him, he was expected to be an excellent free-runner among the trees and plants. It wasn't an easy life, but it had its benefits. Free battle armor, free direhorses... free a lot of stuff. The whole clan was under their demands, though as naturally peaceful beings he never dreamt of using people like that. Unfortunately, something like a mountain banshee can't be given to him, and it's the training that his fellow warriors gave to him that taught him to fight for what he wants.
He was inserted into the warrior training program at the age of six (young, yes, but Na'vi mature faster than humans). He stayed in the training up until he was 16, when he was announced an Omaticaya warrior. Though he's still learning what it truly means to be a leader and a fighter, he's an official. In the beginning of the training, Marek longed to do nothing more than to ride a direhorse. But the training to ride one didn't last long, and it took him much longer to learn the other traits of being a warrior. Though a sharp learner now, he was a kid at one point in time. Though even now, the drilling of the idea of war into his head has prevented him from longing for a woman or anything besides seeking things that could make him into a better person. A better fighter.
