Introduction

Humanity has fallen and pokemon haven't been seen walking the planet in centuries, however, they're about to make a comeback in the form of Arceus' chosen soldiers of justice, empowered with the strength of pokemon themselves. A new era approaches, and it is up to you to determine whether it is a renaissance or the last great disaster to strike the planet. In your way are a variety of factions, all with their own goals and ideas about how the future should be shaped. Will you be one of Arceus' chosen soldiers, a spirit of ages long past or even one of the many humans forsaken by Arceus?

Selling points for Pokemon Fallout
  • Experience Pokemon in a whole new mature way with pokemon-human hybrid transformations similar to Pokemon Reburst's.
  • Explore a lovingly crafted, familiar yet fresh region in the form of Sinnoh. Countless hours have been spent fleshing the region out, adding original elements, expanding upon old elements and filling those locations with prompts for characters to build off of.
  • Your choices matter. Pokemon Fallout is a sandbox RP. What you do ICly can change the world, for better or worse. Locations can be changed to reflect past events. New locations can be created for focused player efforts. You'll be allowed to lead your own quests, create your own lore and build the RP you'd like to see with minimal GM handholding.
  • The default combat resolution is in a fluid semi-freeform style inspired by Eden Era T1. It's easy to get into and allows you to use your imagination, rather than being strictly confined to the polarizing competitive gameplay mechanics of the main series games.
  • Your GM has an extensive knowledge of the main series pokemon games and has been RPing for over a decade. I'm flexible, relaxed and open to new ideas. You're in good hands here.

Toggle Rules

Content Rating
  • Language: Swearing is generally permitted.
  • Sex: Sexual themes are permitted, however, explicit narration of sexual content and art featuring nudity are not.
  • Violence: Explicit violence is permitted unless it is written in a nauseatingly graphic manner.

General
  • Be mindful of your words; use them to nurture, not destroy. Treat your fellow roleplayer with respect.
  • You may encounter or use weapons during your roleplay, however, guns are strictly forbidden.
  • By default, fighting will be freeform. Game mechanics and stats will be taken as inspiration only.
  • This isn't a nuclear apocalypse. There's still quite a bit of vegetation around, in spite of there being no animals/pokemon around to sustain it.
  • If a conflict cannot be resolved between players, feel free to ask for help.

Combat Resolution
  • You must limit yourself to 6 moves per pokespirit at the beginning of a fight and those 6 moves cannot be changed until no one is actively fighting your character anymore.
  • When attacking, you must clearly state that you are preparing to unleash any attack that would normally require a "charging" turn such as Sky Attack, Fly or Dig as well as any attack that is to be considered exponentially stronger, as a result, one turn before the attack happens. You must also clearly state when you are preparing to switch pokespirits in a similar fashion.
  • When attacking, you must clearly describe your attack so that others know what it looks like and how it behaves. You must also hint at what outcome you expect if it hits. However, you may not force the outcome of an attack. "Basic Attacks" such as normal punching are considered to have "40 Base Power" for the purposes of your imagination.
  • When defending against an attack, you must acknowledge the attacks being thrown at you. You must also explain how you defend yourself against those attacks. It is not enough to say that you dodged or blocked it, you must explain how you dodged or blocked it. You must also acknowledge any damage your character receives in the process if any.
  • When defending against an attack, you are allowed to initiate a counter-attack, but only if you can demonstrate that your opponent left themselves open and you are in a position that would realistically enable you to perform an attack as part of your post. Counter-Attacks cannot be dodged, only blocked and counter-attacked.
  • When fleeing a battle, you must treat this like a dodge by describing how exactly you stop your opponent from catching you and your opponent must then either accept that you have escaped or make a post explaining how they stopped you from escaping. This post can be coupled with an attack.
  • If there is a disagreement about who should win or how a battle should end, the GM shall judge the fight based on whether these rules were followed and how fairly each opponent fought. If you do not want to fight by these rules, that's up to you and your opponent to agree on. Have some fun and treat each other with respect.
  • Inspired by Eden Era T1

Character Creation
  • This roleplay takes place roughly 200 years after the events of Pokemon Black and White and ignores the plots of future installments, however, you can use pokemon from future generations. The RP takes place in Sinnoh.
  • No character is permitted to take the form of a full Pokemon. All characters must maintain a humanoid shape and no character may exceed 12'0'' (3.65 meters) or be smaller than 2'0'' (0.60 meters) in height without the aid of moves/magic.
  • Pokespirit wielders cannot be older than 16. If they are younger than 10, Arceus' call reached them early for some reason. Remember that they have to climb a mountain to answer that call.
  • Clearly state what your character is. Are they a regular human, are they a pokespirit wielder and if so which spirit do they wield, are they a ghost from before the apocalypse? A time traveler? Feral pokemon are not allowed.
  • Please use a picture, any picture, or a decent text description of what your character looks like and what they wear to give us a mental image to work with.
  • If you have a pokespirit, does it talk? Does it have a personality? What sort of moves does it allow you to use? You'll be limited to 6 moves in combat.
  • Tell us about how your character survives. The food crisis, bandits, and murderers are their biggest threats. Are they some sort of scavenger, do they farm, are they thieves, or do they offer essential services to others in exchange for food? How do they feel about cannibalism? Rule of thumb: society doesn't like cannibals very much, but they're quite strong.
  • If your character has any weaknesses other characters would be able to see at a glance, let us know on their profile.

Events

You can schedule events for your players to create notifications and schedule times for everyone to plan around.
