Charmander used Growl. [Rolled a 1]

Natu pleasantly sat on Tyler's head as the Charmander tried to let out a fierce growl. What came out instead, was a less frightening little "Chaaar" in which the Natu just reacted to that attempt at a growl with a bird like giggle and it continued to perch on Tyler's head. "Natuuu!" It laughed.

Its okay charmander try it again" Tyler commanded. Charmander was disheartened about his horrible growl and was happy that his trainer wasn't mad. Charmander nodded and let out another growl

Charmander used Growl. [Rolled a 10]

This time the Charmander let out a fierce and frightening growl that successfully knocked the Natu right off of it's perfect little perch on top of Tyler's head. "NATU!" It cried out in frustration as it was rudely scared off it's perch. Natu's defense fell. Natu quickly flew over to the Charmander and furiously attempted to Peck at the pokemon. The Wild Natu used Peck! [Rolled an 11] A critical hit! The Natu swooped over and landed a devastating peck attack on the Charmander, pushing it to the ground. "NATU!" It said confidently.

Aja and Kaisuke have reached Ardiendo Town!

"hang in there charmander now use scratch" Tyler shouted. "char" The pokemon said proud of his previous attack. The orange lizard rushed towards the little green bird his razor sharp claws out bird and swung at it fiercly. Tyler was excited his chamander needed the experience he wanted it to learn ember or at least metal claw something that could do some real damage.

Charmander Used Scratch. [Rolled an 11] A Critical Hit!

The Charmander's razor sharp claws slashed at the Wild Natu with such strength and precision that it severely damaged the poor little wild bird pokemon. "Natuu!" The green bird pokemon said as it was hit by the vicious scratch attack. Natu was immensely injured and handicapped by it's lack of health, but it decided it would fight back and defend itself with another Peck attack. Natu used Peck. [Rolled a 7] The peck attack landed and also damaged the Charmander's health a bit but not nearly as much as Charmanders scratch attack did to the wild bird Pokemon's health. "Natu!" It cried, desperately trying to stay strong or at least conscious in this battle. It would do all it could not to lose.

"your doing great charmander now return" Tyler said callin back his charmander. "alright poliwag lets finish this battle" Tyler said as the blue pokemon emerged with a flash of white. "poliii" The pokemon said. "alright poliwag use water gun on that natu." tyler shouted. The pokemon blasted a large stream of water directly at the pokemon.

Poliwag used bubble. [Rolled an 11] A Critical Hit!

(Your Poliwag doesn't know Water Gun. It learns that move at level 11.)

The Poliwag sent a powerful stream of bubbles at the Natu and when it came in contact with the bubbles, it was thrown to the ground and was knocked out completely. "Natuuuu!" It cried out in finality as it hit the ground and fainted.

The Wild Natu Fainted.

Charmander grew to level 7!

Charmander learned Ember!

Poliwag grew to level 7!

David watched as the Whismir was sent flying out of the smokescreen and into a tree. "Good work buddy" He called out to his partner who held it fighting stance, even after the smoke lifted, and the small,injured, pokemon easliy visable. David began to spin the empty pokeball in between his fingers. Although catching another pokemon earlier on is good, training your start fast is very helpful for trainer battles. So instead of trying to capture the helpless pokemon, he clipped the pokeball back to his bag and called to Inferno, "Finish it off with another Tackle attack, as gently as you can." Inferno let out another 'quil' in acknowledgement before charging the defenceless pokemon.

Alice looked at Ryuu, before she nodded. Maximizing the Pokeball, she bit her lip, before throwing it at the Chimecho trapped in the tree. "Ryuu! Get out of the way!" she called just as the ball opened and sucked the Chimecho inside.

She waited anxiously, as the ball rocked back and forth........

Inferno used tackle! [Rolled a 9]

After David's Cyndaquil launched itself at the Whismir in a fierce but not deadly tackle attack, the helpless whismir was tackled into the tree even more and right then and there it's eyes turned into little Xs and it fainted. "Whiiissssmiiir!" It lastly cried out before it fainted onto the ground.

The Wild Whismir fainted!

Inferno grew to level 6!

Trainer Alice threw a pokeball.

"Chooo! It said before it was sucked up into the pokeball in a flash of bright red light. The pokeball dropped to the ground and shook and twitched rhythmically. It shook once....Then Twice....then...a third time! Finally Alice heard one of the most wonderful sounds a trainer could hear. A high pitched ping could be heard as the pokeball stopped moving. [Rolled an 11] Chimecho was caught!

Trainer Alice caught the wild Chimecho!

Ryuu grew to level 6!

Tyler nodded and began wandering around town looking for a battle he wanted to get a head star on his t-stars. The town was actually really kinda peaceful. The town reminded him of his home at lavaridge. "come on there has to be at least one trainer around here" Tyler said

"Ha!" Dylan laughed triumphantly, planting his hands firmly on his hips and smiling down at Abra. "We did it!" He walked over to the Pokéball and scooped it up off the ground. "And you didn't even take a hit, just like I planned it," he said, turning to the Pokémon, who was already slumped over half-asleep again.

He held the Pokéball tightly, remembering the first time he'd caught a Pokémon. He lived too far away from Oak's lab back in Kanto to get a Pokémon from him, and he'd had to catch his first Pokémon without weakening it at all, all on his own. He smiled faintly, remembering throwing a soda can at the little Ralts that had since grown into a powerful Gardevoir in a pathetic attempt to weaken it without a Pokémon. His personality may not have changed, but he'd grown a lot as a trainer, and mentally patted himself on the back.

Tossing the Pokéball in in one hand, Dylan casually walked over to Chiya. "Did ya see that? Pretty good, huh?" He stuffed the ball in his pocket and looked up at the sky, groaning as he did so. His voice came out in a childish whine, "Aaawwww, it got laaaaate... It's gonna be dark soon. We'd better hurry up and get to town; I'm not sleeping out here." His face practically in a pout and his arms crossed, he started down the path, assuming Chiya would follow.

Marijan watched as the stream of water hit Happiny and sent her flying backwards. Happiny soon got up and recovered from the blow. She was now in her battle stance already anticipating her next command to finish off this annoying Wooper.

"Alright... no one is around so let's try out our new trick! Happiny use Copycat!", Marijan shouted knowing that Copycat was a strong move and not one expected to see alot. He hoped that he could fool more than wild Pokemon with this trick.

Embry and Tera happily accepted the apples that David and Inferno had given them. Embry placed her apple in her bag for later, but Tera gobbled it down in one bite. She sighed happily in her trainer’s arms and then continued to squirm until Embry got tired and placed her on the ground. The group of trainers and their Pokémon continued down the darkening path.

A slight breeze rustled the branches of the trees. Sounds of nocturnal Pokémon echoed in the forest, making Tera tense up in anticipation for a battle. The dim smolder of the fire on Inferno’s back lighted the path up ahead. The quiet relaxed Embry letting a lazy smile slip on her face. They strolled in this fashion for a long time. Suddenly, a loud cry pierced the quiet. A pinkish Pokémon stood in the middle of the path crying slightly. It looks like a…

“A Wishmur!” Embry gasped out loud. Next to her, David almost tripped on the little Pokémon making Inferno lose his grip on his apple and drop it into the Wishmur’s open mouth. Inferno did not look too happy about that. With a cry the Cyndaquil’s back erupted with flames. Embry watched the battle unfold as David and Inferno attacked the Wishmur at blinding speeds. Her excitement grew with each move. Tera seemed pumped as well and watched the battle with a thrilled expression. When the battle ended with the Wishmur in defeat, Embry congratulated her fellow trainer.

“Nice job David! You guys did great!” She exclaimed, holding her hand out for a high-five.

“Larvi Larvi!” Tera said bouncing up and down as she spoke to Inferno, following her trainer’s lead.

A booming crack sounding from behind caused Leo to halt in his tracks. He spun around quickly, just in time to see one of the apple blanketed canopies begin shaking vigorously back and forth. A barely audible sigh escaped the young trainer's lips as his golden flecked irises fell upon the fiery backed Pokemon at the base of the tree. The tiny thing was tenderly rubbing its head, which had undoubtedly been the cause of the crack Leo had heard before, and watching as its trainer collected the fallen apples.

Leo watched as David successfully gathered all of the apples and hurriedly caught up with his group members and as he did so, handed two apples to each of the trainers. Leo stared at David's outstretched hand containing two red apples, trying to decide whether or not to accept the gift. Finally, after quite some time, the fair haired teen brusquely took the apples and instead of eating them like his teammates, shoved them into his bag.

The Spheal, now quite a ways ahead of the group, froze in the midst of its joyous bouncing fit as soon as it laid its shining eyes on the plump red apples in its trainer's hands. Within seconds, the blue ball was at its trainer's feet, staring up at the apples as Leo placed them inside his shoulder bag. Fitz began to rock back and forth anxiously as he stared up with black eyes, seemingly double their original size, and his mouth parted slightly as he began to salivate.

Leo glanced down at Fitz and watched as drool threatened to spill over the Pokemon's parted maw. A fine eyebrow arched on the young trainer's brow as the Spheal inched closer and closer, nearly resting itself on it's trainers shoes.

With a small sigh, Leo reached into his bag and slowly withdrew a shining apple. "Is this what ya want?" The Spheal began to slightly bounce in place and its mouth gaped even further into what would have been a toothless grin if it hadn't been for the two tiny canines peaking out from each corner of its mouth in response. Leo moved his slender arm so that the apple was vertically over the Pokemon's body. "You sure you want it?". The Spheal began to waddle around excitedly and barked, "Spheeaall!"

"Fine. I suppose I could let you have it... But don't come crying to me when your hungry later because I won't have an apple to feed you." The Spheal took no notice of what its trainer was saying, but instead focused on the apple in his hand. If Leo were to move the apple in one direction Fitz followed it like a boat followed a lighthouse in a raging sea. A small smile lighted up Leo's face and a soft chuckle escaped his lips as he watched his Pokemon stare intently at the food. With a flick of his wrist, Leo tossed the fruit into the air.

As soon as the apple fell from its trainer's hands, Fitz opened it maw wide and clapped ecstatically as the juicy fruit graced his tongue. The blue spherical Pokemon made an almost comical 'Nomnom' noise as it swallowed its meal whole. With its eyes now peaked into slender arches and its mouth smiling, the Spheal clapped a few times more and took off further into the dense woods.

As the trio and their Pokemon made their way through the darkening forest at their slow pace, Leo glanced around his surroundings, taking everything in. From the way the fleeting light flickered through the over hanging leaves, to the smallest crevice in the path they treaded upon, Leo absorbed it all. He listened carefully to the caws and cries of the Pokemon in the distance, mentally noting the identity of the owner of the noise.

Time sped by as they treaded through the forest and light was becoming scarce. If it wasn't for the dim light emitted from the Cyndaquil's back, Leo was almost certain that they would have been completely blind in the dark.

A sudden, shrill cry followed by an equally loud cry of, “A Whismur!” from Embry caused Fitz to nearly roll into a tree and Leo to search for the source. Sure enough, a wild Whismur was nearly trampled by David as it sat in the middle of the path. Leo's careful, golden eyes watched as David's Cyndaquil dove at the wild Pokemon in its rage and began its first battle.

Leo leaned against a thick tree trunk and observed the battle before him. This was an opportune moment for him to observe the fighting style of his group member and Leo wasn't going to let that go to waste.

The battle was over almost as quickly as it began, the victory going to David and his Cyndaquil. Leo nodded in approval, but stayed in his place against the tree. His Spheal on the other hand, was already rolling around the triumphant Cyndaquil and the happy Larvitar, clapping its flippers together loudly. Leo couldn't help but chuckle as he watched the Pokemon celebrate together.

Wrong spot. Again. Sorreh..

Leira was a tad bit startled when a Swablu perched on her shoulder. "Yikes!"

Sparki, who got knocked off when the Swablu landed on Leira's shoulder, looks up angrily at the Cotton Bird Pokemon. "Pi!"

Leira glances down at the Pichu. "Do you wanna fight it Sparki?"

"Pi!"

Leira attempts to get the Swablu off her shoulder. "Sparki, use Thundershock!"

*(I apologize I have not posted until just now...wasn't really sure WHAT to post, to be honest.)*

Tekno grinned, leaning up against a tree as he observed his companion toss the PokeBall, it hitting the Chimecho and drawing it in. It wobbled once, twice, three times...before finally coming to rest with the distinctive chime indicating a successful capture. The young man grinned, moving to flip his hand up as if knocking up a hat on his brow (despite the fact he wasn't wearing one).

"Great job," he grinned over at Alice. "For a second there, I was wondering if I might have had to intervene." He gazed over at his Magnemite. "Right, buddy?"

Alpha floated there, unresponsive.

"Anyway," Tekno stated. "Shall we head on, then?"

(sorry it took so long for me to respond, had to do a very important report)

David threw a hand up in triumph as Inferno finished off the battle. He was about to continue celebrating by himself when Embry and Tera walked over them “Nice job David! You guys did great!” She said, offering a high-five. Of course David accepted and smacked his hand against hers. When Inferno noticed the Tera make the same motion as her owner, Inferno did the best to copy his own's, putting up his hand it to touch the Larvitar's. That when Fitz Began to roll around them, obviously wanting to join in the celebration. When David noticed how dark it had gotten, he toned down a bit. "Hey, Its gotten late, how's about we set up camp somewhere round here?" He asked him teammates, lifting his Cyndaquil and placing it back on its new favorite spot.

Happiny used Copycat! [Rolled a 6]

Happiny puffed up her cheeks, and with the mysterious power of Copycat, she blew a strong stream of water back at the Wooper. Luckily, thanks to Wooper's dual typing of ground and water the attack was normally effective and sent the Wooper flying back into the water from which it came. The little fainted Pokémon floated away on its back defeated.

Wild Wooper fainted!

Pikachu used Thundershock! [Rolled a 10]

Sparki released a surprising amount of energy for such a little Pokémon, the electric shock blasting both the Swablu and its trainer! Such a powerful attack combined with Swablu's weakness to electric types made the attack devastatingly effective. It was only thanks to its high special defense stat that it was able to survive. Though slightly singed, Sparki's trainer could see that the Pokémon was on its last leg... er, wing... already.

Each trainers enters the first town rather late that night, and the Gym is no longer accepting challengers until tomorrow. They roam about the small, hot town (except of course Beckki, who needs to finish her battle with Swablu). The volcano looms overhead as they think about their Gym challenges the next day. Trying to cast aside their thoughts and worries, the trainers begin to explore the town...

"Hey, Its gotten late, how's about we set up camp somewhere round here?" David asked his friends. It took Embry looked around at the darkened forest. Stars shinned brightly overhead and the moon shed its soft light down to the sleepy earth below. It was quiet except for the occasional musical whine of Kricketots. The auburn haired trainer was starting to feel tired from the long boat journey and walking though the forest. Some many things happened in such little time. She felt like she could keep going seeing that they were close enough to Ardiendo Town anyway.

“Nah, lets keep going. I bet the town is just around the corner. Its better that we sleep at a Pokémon Center then out here. Besides…” She rubbed the back of her next embarrassed. “I didn’t bring a sleeping bag.” Laughing she began to continue her way down the path. Her tiny rock Pokémon followed making disappointed sounds at her trainer for being so unprepared. The Larvitar was expecting a more organized trainer.

Sure enough the group stumbled upon a clearing in the forest. Ardiendo Town stood before them on hard black volcanic ground. A large shadow was positioned behind the small town which Embry assumed was some sort of mountain. The houses were dark and silent, but Pokecenter was alight and welcoming. The rock trainer and her Pokémon sighed in relief that the town was that close. They were afraid that it would have been a much longer walk. Embry turned to her friends and smiled.

“Come on lets go. We are almost there!” She said walking towards the Pokecenter.

Leira gets up after being shocked with Sparki's ThunderShock. "Good one Sparki, but please, next time, try to not shock me," she laughs.
She then looks over at the Swablu. It seems like a good time to.....Leira grabs her one and only Pokeball. "Let's try this." She throws the red-and-white ball at the Pokemon.

*(I apologize for not posting sooner. Life and all that.)*

Indeed, Tekno had stumbled into Ardiendo Town much later that night. He had hoped to catch up with Tyler after Alice had caught her new Chimecho, however as it had gotten dark he had somehow gotten separated with his companion. Feeling a bit bad, but figuring she would likely arrive at the town herself, Tekno made his way with Magnemite down there. Unfortunately, he was so lost that by the time he had arrived, it was already late at night and the Gym was closed. Sighing, he figured it was just as well since he was tired, sore, and really in no condition to battle any particular trainers anyway. Making a beeline for the Pokemon Center, he entered inside the building and headed over towards the counter.

He said nothing, nodding as he placed Magnemite's PokeBall on it. Yawning, he moved over towards the padded bench on the wall to lay down on it. Within seconds, he was already asleep, his fatigue so great that it overcame any desire to eat whatever dinner he had missed.
