Ava is about 5'6" and a lover of heels. She enjoys dressing up in any types of clothes and costumes, and isn't particularly fashion-sensed. She is of thin build, but not thin-busted (at least she doesn't think so) and is almost always wearing a smile. She usually wears her hair down, but occasionally she will put it up in a ponytail
Personality: Ava is a happy-go-lucky, somewhat off the wall, teenager. She is super excited about her rite of passage ceremony, and cannot wait to get started. She is bubbly, loud, and at times, obnoxious. She has a motormouth which is bad enough on a good day, but should she be too excited or panicking, her words are almost incoherent. Although she has a girly-ish air about her, she is just as tough as a guy. She is a romantic idealist, a bit irresponsible, and makes friends very easily (whether they know it or not). Overall she is nice, but can have a mean streak and be very violent when pushed. She is prone to abrupt mood swings, which you should look out for. She doesn't like being bored, and wants to go to as many worlds as possible. She also finds cuteness in nearly everything.
Biography: Ava is the only daughter of two fairly well-to-do Portal-Hikers. Her father makes a business of travelling to different worlds and bringing back technology from them for people to buy. She was named after a famous actress from one of the worlds that her mother likes, but she misspelled the last name. Both of her parents are somewhat out there, and they would all do crazy things together as a family. Ava herself has been to a couple other worlds with her parents, but never by herself. She has a moderate knowledge of some otheworldly technologies because of her father. Her parents have encouraged her to be herself without restraining to certain gender roles, so she is well-versed in kickboxing and ballroom dancing (preferably swing).
Strengths: perpetually happy, hard sucker punch, even harder kick, excellent swing dancer, likeable
Weaknesses: Ava overall isn't very strong, and uses ducks and dodges and the element of surprise . She will also drop everything whenever she sees something remotely cute, and isn't very book-smart or common-sense smart. She is also tone-deaf.
Fears: Ava has a very bizarre fear of teddy bears. She doesn't think they're cute, and hates them for whatever reason. She will quickly destroy any teddy bear within her vincity if she isn't petrified by fear first. She is also, strangely enough, a bit paranoid that she will get sick, and is germophobic.
Likes: travelling, chocolate, cute things, climbing trees, kicking people, talking, singing, movies
Dislikes: teddy bears, being sick, boredom, ugly things, people saying she is flat-chested, people saying that what she thinks is cute is ugly
Weapon: Heavy combat boots. Since she's a kick-boxer, these are as deadly as any sword.
Equipment: Ava has a few sandwiches, chocolate bars, a filter water bottle, a small radio that has very strong reception, a watch that changes its time automatically to fit whatever time zone it's in, a book on famous Hollywood starlets (somewhat dated), a favorite wooly sweater, a Nokia cellphone (almost counts as a weapon, though her father instructs her to use it whenever she needs to break something), and a disposable camera. The bag itself is covered with a large assortment of vaguely cute keychains.
