Trechera's cold-hearted Second-in-Command. Beneath his cold exterior is the heart of a once-hailed hero.
Cold but honorable, Forte follows a strict bushido-like code. He will often treat his fellow warriors with respect, provided they first earn that respect by proving themselves wrthy of it. Forte's personal code usually prevents him from killing a defeated/helpless enemy, much to Trechera's chagrin. For Forte, there is no honor in winning a battle that presents no challenge.
Forte's weapon is called the Duskfang. It can appear in three different forms.
Sword Form: The most basic appearance of the Duskfang in which it merely a sword with a curved blade.
Dual Form: Duskfang's second shape, in which the single sword is split into twin blades.
Swallow Form: Duskfang's third and most dangerous form. The two swords are connected by the tip of the hilts, forming an elogant Swallow blade designed to parry and counter with lethal efficiency.
Aside from his weapon, Forte usually carries an array of throwing blades, smoke bombs, flash bangs, and other such things with to distract the enemy. Forte's cloak, while not a weapon, is magically enchanted to actually suppress Forte's true power. Once removed, he becomes much faster and more lethal. This, however, is something Forte rarely ever does without good reason, as it essentially means he is no longer holding himself back.
Born just over 3,000 years ago, Forte was once a human named Shin. Shin was a member of a legendary warrior-assassin clan known as the Lin Kuei. The Lin Kuei were famous for combining the elements of stealth and assassination with the honor and code of the warrior. Though relatively small, the Lin Kuei were highly trained, Shin being one of their best. According to legend, the Lin Kuei mysteriously vanished from history. Truthfully, they were wiped out by the rising Zhou Dynasty, only Shin having managed to escape. Shin wandered for years, soon hearing a legend about Gems with great power. His interest piqued, Shin decided to search for these Dragon Gems, so that he could use their power to bring the Zhou Emporer to justice. Shin's search led him to the old wizard named Yolzor, who refused to entrust the power of a Dragon Gem to one who sought revenge. In his frutration, Shin attempted to take the Gems by force. In his defense, Yolzor used his magic to banish Shin to another world, far from Earth. Where Shin ended up, was with none other than Empress Trechera.
Rather than kill the mysterious human, Trechera decided to listen to Shin's story. Using the loss of his clan-mates and his bitter denial by the Wizard, Trechera twisted Shin into a cold-blooded rogue bent on personal revenge. From then on, Shin became Forte the Shadow-Warrior. As Forte grew more powerful, he ceased to be human and became a dark shadow of his former self. Forte spent centuries fighting for Trechera, finally seeing his chance when their next target was revealed to be Earth, the place of Forte's human birth.
