A mask of happiness hides a great sorrow but as a Neutral, she goes about her life as a protector of the people, earning herself the street name "Angel".
Though her mind is full of pain and anguish, she puts on a happy face and no one ever seems to suspect she's hurting. She enjoys helping others and usually feels inadaquate or a failure. She makes friends easily, despite her desire to stay away from people. The only power she can't seem to control is her empathy which allows her to feel others emotions and sometimes get glimpses of their thoughts. The fact she can't control it is another source of pain for her. She tries to hide it by remaining cheerful, which is her way of dealing with pain. She's a hard worker and gets things done. She's a thinker, which sometimes causes her more stress than if she would just forget about things.
She's always had a fear of guns and so carries only knives, daggers, and an occasional sword. She's not a master, but knows what she's doing with the weapons. She enjoys drawing and so always has a notepad and pencil somewhere on her person. She also collects rocks and so her pockets are usually full of them.
Powers: The first and biggest problem for her is her empathy. With empathy, she feels everything anyone around her does and sometimes gets glimpses of what they're thinking. She's discovered that if she listens to music, it helps to block the thoughts. Also, she never dares to touch anyone with her bare skin because they causes her senses to overload. The other power she has is the gift of flight which is manifested in her large, white angel-type wings she can summon at will.
She was born as a simple girl living in the country side of Texas. When she was taken, her parents were killed because they tried to save her. She had no idea what was happening but only knew that the people who had taken her had also killed her parents.
Her days in "prison" were like a terrible nightmare that never seemed to end. She was given drugs to stimulate empathy and the ability to feel others' emotions. Somehow, the scientists never figured it out, that ability also led to her growing snowy white wings. The wings she never cared about since she could summon them at will and it didn't disfigure her any. The empathy she could barely deal with. The days were agonizing, full of nothing but pain, most of it from others. She could barely concentrate on keeping her sanity and constantly talked to herself to remind herself that she did exist and was a person.
Many of her friends died due to suicide. With her empathy, she felt not only her own sorrows but everyone else's as well which did nothing to help her mind develop normally. She ended up joking and laughing most of the time to try and combat all the misery. A lot of the others were angry with her because they felt she wasn't feeling the same pain they were. The name "Angel child" was an insult directed at her often as the other children mocked her and tried to mimic her laughter and joking.
When she was freed, she chose to be neutral rather than work for anyone. She didn't want to be used anymore. She stayed in the shadows, mostly unknown for a time as she tried to gather information about the world she was now in from the minds of the people around her. One day she saw a mother getting mugged and, having learned that the mother was single and needed the money badly, intervened. She felt good about helping people and using her powers for good so she began to try to fight crime, at least to protect those she deemed worthy of her assistance. This earned her the street name "Angel."
She currently lives with a few friends she's made and, to her relief, most of her friends are optimists and don't mind that she has "special powers." There has been more unrest on the street, however, and she's heard that the "Problem Children" are behind it. She doesn't like the idea that some of the people like her are using their powers for evil or to hurt others, though she does understand why they would be angry, she just can't be angry herself. She's considering joining up with Mythos but isn't sure if that would be a good idea.
