The forest was so peaceful. I could live here forever, away from everybody, thought Jack. No one would miss him anyway. He had a rope coiled around his right hand, just in case it didn't work. It's not like it wouldn't, but there was hope. The branches were starting to look appetizing. But he couldn't end himself, the world would stop if he did. He continued down the path, looking for the path to the clearing. It was where the lush, green trees suddenly turned dry, that's what Mythos told him. "Come here every week. You need to". But why? It's not like he was doing anything important.
There it was. The leaves were brown and dry here. Jack took a left down that path. It was very short, but the trees still stayed dead. Jack stepped out into the clearing. There was a very large, open generator in the middle. It wasn't connected to anything, and electricity was still flowing in it. Jack walked up to it, slowly, and quietly, and gazed inside. Wires, core, the works. Jack sighed, and pulled out a bottle of water. He first took a drink from it, and then he poured half of what was left of it on his hand. They were dripping wet now. Then he took a breath. The thought of doing this scared him, but he had to.
He pushed his hands into the generator, but he recoiled at the last second. He took another breath. "One," he counted, "two, three," he forced his hands in, and touched the core of the generator. Without a minute of hesitation, the electricity from the core began to go from his fingers to his toes, energizing everything in its path. Jack wanted to pull his hands away from the core, it hurt so much. It was like a fire raging inside his entire body. But he had to keep it there, only for a little bit longer. Eventually the pain was too great, the world began to fade around him. Jack lost consciousness, and fell to the ground.
Jack woke up. He wasn't sure if it was seconds, minutes, hours, days...most likely seconds though. He felt the rope coiled around his arm, and tossed it away. Why would he need that here? Jack could feel the powers of electricity flowing through him, and he could do with it what he pleased. He was a different person than the person that came in the forest. Not even the ghost of his father could bother him. Jack stood up, and walked out of the forest.

Magnum finally found Phoenix. He watched in horror as a vine wrapped around his waist, hoisting him up. "Who are you? What are you doing in my kingdom?" Phoe and a voice yelled, a demanding part in her voice. "Magnum, your brother!" he yelled, slicing the vine with his knife. Phoe screamed, almost gaining control. He heard a voice. Do not fight it, Dear Blossom, fight the intruder of our kingdom! it said, lashing a vine out. It stood Phoe up, high above Magnum's 6ft1 body. It lashed millions of vines and ivy, interlacing his body and hoisting him up again. "You dare enter my kingdom, ahhhhhh!" it ended with just Phoe's voice, as her attire changed to normal, and she fell from the high position. Magnum fell, the scrapes giving him serious pain. He picked up her unconscious body. He left, trying to find help.
