Report

ImageDescription:
Eros being a hybrid, has varying characteristic of that a Sly and Pack. Only 5"6', Eros stand short at being close to tall in human form but with a lithe and straight posture, he can give off an impression of being taller. Although, it is easy to spot him with his varying red and orange mix hair that is kept short and manageable.
His half-form resembles fully of that a sly, orange ears and bushy tail with black tips. From dark-chrome blue eyes, Eros has ember sclera with slit-pupils in his half-form that is similar to that of foxes. His other physical appearance stays the same as when he is in his human form.
The merging form is one of the rare form that Eros has ever been in as it is the most unstable and dangerous form to control, both familiar and mutant have no control over their thoughts or concept of self. This form looks similar to Thanatos when they are two separate beings, but have darker ending tips on the tail and ears, the fur messy and longer.
Personality:
    • Eros is an aggravator, though less prone to physically act during danger, he stirs the situation in such an aggressive way that causes violence in others, often leading into pointless or misunderstood 'scuffles' that could end with casualty(ies).
    • He is often conflicted, causing a deep uncertainty towards anything he faces with yet keeping it hidden from anyone around him, putting on many persona as not to make this fact known.
    • Due to his unstable mentality, Eros has a psychopathic and sociopathic tendency which he would switch from one to the other without notice. He would often refer things to anyone in a overly friendly manner, even mention morbid things in this way and would lash out towards the unsuspecting victim he next.
    • All in all, Eros is a child that has been covered and warped into the person he is at the present moment, though the barriers that holds the inner child can slowly be peeled away to reveal a very lost teenager who has no purpose in life apart from being made a puppet to be played with.
Image
Familiar Personality:
    • Pacifier to Eros' aggressor, Thanatos is the reason and logic when it comes to decision making or any action that needs to be taken, though he sometimes comply with Eros own decision. He will try to be the peacemaker between Eros and his opponent if there is a chance of no bloodshed.
    • Thanatos is prideful and will take responsibility in all his decisions and actions, sometimes stubborn to other peoples advice and opinion about himself and Eros.
    • Both Thanatos and Eros can be separated by a long amount of time but not having someone to focus on causes him to loose inhibition and go wild if he is not met with Eros in a certain amount of time.

Abilities:
    • Mind-reading
      Both projecting and receiving
    • Mimicry:
Limited to voice, sound and environmental camouflage
    • Empath:
Able to pinpoint the where-about of other, their doings and their emotional state
Weaknesses:
    • Hypomanic/Mania:
Eros' mood can change quite drastically, the shift of his emotional state does not transition but only jump from one to the other, two side of the same coin. This can occur at any given moment and influences his decision making.
    • Confliction:
Often unsure what to do, he will choose either 'fight or flight' response in any given situation that requires more thought to them. This means negotiation is far from the answer if he was given the task to think on the actions being taken.
    • Passive:
During any physical combat with an opponent(s), Eros will not participate but preferring to let Thanatos take orders from him to attack his opponent(s). This is a big disadvantage for him if there is too many people or stronger than him, making him quite vulnerable if Thanatos cannot handle them.

    Fears:
      • Nyctophobia: Fear of darkness
      • Claustraphobia: Fear of small spaces
    History:
A natural-born experiment is not impossible to come by but a hybrid of any mutation has a small percentage of actual production and an even smaller percentage of the new-born hybrid surviving. The Vulupus, a term used to categorise the half-breed of the Slys and the Packs, are hard to come by due to the percentage rate of the Sly's re-creation and the Packs unnatural growth rate.

Eros, one of the few and surviving pups, beat the odds of none-existence during the creation of Mutants in lab environment. More specifically, the creation of hybrids of different Mutants and the success rate of each combination. The rarity of Eros' nature have given him a green card, that is, he is treated with much care then those that are easy to come by, though that does not mean he is excluded from any subject testing and experimentation. The lab's own hybrid-born were isolated completely from the recreation and captive Mutants, creating a rift between the half-breed and other Mutants that predispose the isolated bunch feeling prejudice towards the others.

As the young are being watched closely, they begin to pick up some behaviours in Eros that doesn't seem to comply with previous report, though the information itself is scarce, it brought more attention towards him than any hybrid-born should have. Most of his two years as an infant consist mainly of sleep, probing and cuddling. Yes, cuddling. Eros was already learning to sense people around him, but mostly the emotional state of the scientist that are in charge of him, being so young that he is, he required bonding with anyone that showed care. Although there are very few that reciprocated his needs, Thanatos was his one and only caretaker and guardian during his time in-between experiment.

Eros' growth rate was slower than normal in certain aspect, but mentally, he was advancing at a fast pace, learning things he shouldn't even be learning and doing things the scientist had time and time again told him he shouldn't be doing. He was already moving in and out of his 'room' without the permission or supervision of an authorised personal, but soon left him as he please as he had never once tried to go out, search through files or do anything that was really against the whole organisation. He spent his time going through books of all kind, absorbing the information from those books and began to read anything that consist of words, informative words.

Mind reading was also how Eros 'read', picking up information about the lab and it's purpose and also what the outside world is like. The people overseeing him felt that he was too open to other peoples thought and began to play music of all kind to him. The purpose was to distract Eros' thoughts from focusing on theirs and soon he became dependent on it to help him focus.

He has been subjected to many experimentation and training that ends with many body counts, rarely do they return without a scratch on them from Eros. He is almost like a child who has been coddled too much and throws tantrums, deadly ones, when he is in a bad mood and is left to his own, only interfering/intervening when he strays off their set path.

So begins...

"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are gray. . ."

Her mother's voice sings softly, the child lullaby sounding hauntingly familiar. When she was a child, Bree's mothers would sing this song just before she went to sleep. Sunshine was a nickname her mother gave her, with her golden locks.

"You never know, dear, how much I love you. Please don't take, my sunshine away."

Was it a coincidence that those were the last words she had ever said to me?

The sirens started first. Flashing red lights reflecting off the glass of the tubes the Others were all kept in. The thick glass between them and the scientists kept each of them away from the frantic hustle and bustle. Papers were being thrown around, armed security officers running around, things being locked away and computers being shut down.

Many officials kept glancing back at the contained Others, worried looks on their faces. Turning, Bree noticed the rest of the Others as confused as she was. Never in her many years at the Institute had anything happened quite like this. Of course, there were times when the doors were doubled locked, windows shut, but shutting down the computers? Even after the building was dark and quiet, the only humans on the premises being the guards, the computers are always on, constantly running some kind of program.

Curiosity killed the cat, her mother would always say. As a child she would never help herself, taking the extra step to see what would happen. Once the step had her falling into a lake. Gazing around at the scientists, it seemed Bree was the only one who noticed light spilling from the bottom of one of the window shades. It wasn't bright, perhaps not noticeable for the humans, but her keen eyes could see it. Tilting her head, her brows scrunched in confusion and wonder as it grew brighter, shining off of the metal walls. Unconsciously, she stepped forward.

The wall exploded, bricks and pieces of metal shot in every which way. Humans fell, others ran, and some even were thrown forward from the blast. A stray piece of brick hit her capsule, shattering the glass and breaking the barrier the small other had. A gasp escaped her lips a moment before she fly backwards, hitting her back and head against the wall. Dizzily, she fell. Slowly, she pulled her arms, legs, and head in under herself, trying not to expose herself. Metal, papers, and bricks hit her repeatedly, and unwillingly Bree's eyes started to droop the dizzier she became.

"Please don't take my sunshine away. . ."

ƎℝʘS

Deafening silence

The lack of music filling the space of the orange-haired boy's room is not an unusual occurrence but the absence of electrical hums from devices in his room was unnerving as the emptiness in the air was what brought him to wake. Thoughts of many scenarios that could justify the absence ran through his head but none seemed to ease his unsettling feeling. The ringing of his own blood pumping through his body and beating heart filled his audio senses as his eyes adjusted to the darkness, pupils dilated to allow any fragment of light to enter his eyes. Everything around him was in place, nothing misplaced or moved but why was it that he felt something was amiss? His brows furrowed as he thought, the feeling of the air around him was stifling and uncomfortable.

Kicking away the thin blanket off him, Eros got off his makeshift bed, glancing over to his given bed still occupied by a giant furry ball and gazed over to the door. The screen glass that overlooked the halls of the living quarters of his kind glowed red, another not so unusual occurrence every night, but how the redness is glaring and intensifying itself against the whiteness of the walls was something that couldn't help be pondered on.

Looking back into his room, there was no sign of 'life' from anything that required electricity but why was it the red lights in the halls still shone with such power. Maybe the power is prioritising itself, the thought emerged suddenly into his psyche, causing him to shiver invonluntarily at the idea of him being trapped inside his living space, inside the dark illuminated by an eerie red glow. He needed to know what is happening and why as the fear and panic raised itself higher, the tide of its irrationality growing larger and larger until it threatened to consume him.
