Charlie

20
Familiar's Name:
Edgar "Eddie"
Gender:
Male
Familiar's Gender:
Male
Role:
Natural born, second in command revolutionary
Mutation | Abilities:
Charlie is a Stripe. As such, he has the ability to control water and ice and can compel people to tell the truth when they speak. Like most in his species, he is strong and fast. He is very graceful, and every one of his movements seems purposeful and deliberate. He has an aura of quiet power that belies his true strength and the long journey that he has taken to get where he is.
Description:
Like most Others, Charlie is graced with good looks. He has bold features: a strong jaw; thick, dark eyebrows; deep-set brown eyes; a long nose; high cheekbones; full lips; and straight, white teeth. His body is covered in lean muscle, and he has olive skin. He stands at 6'1" and weighs 170 pounds.
Personality:
Simply put, Charlie is not a people person. He much prefers to be alone. He has generally controlled emotions, so it can be shocking when he reacts to his surroundings beyond raising or lowering his eyebrows. Speaking is not something that he enjoys, but he is willing to listen to those that need him. He can be rather gruff, surly, and uncaring about the feelings of others. That being said, he is a natural leader with no desire or need for power. He truly cares for those under his protection, but he has difficulty expressing his emotions. When he does show emotion, it tends to be negative and severe.
Familiar Personality:
Eddie, like Charlie, is surly and solitary. He can react unpredictably to strangers, and he has been known to snap at an unfamiliar face. He and Charlie are rarely more than a few feet apart, and seeing them otherwise is a sign of an emergency. Edgar is insanely protective of Charlie, and he doesn't like to let people get close to him.

History:
Charlie grew up with parents that constantly fought. He was very young when his father began to hit his mother, and it wasn't much longer that he started hitting Charlie as well. His mother began to blame Charlie for her abuse, and she became violent. When Charlie spoke out, he was swiftly punished, and emotional outbursts were quickly squelched. He spent his childhood in silence, alone except for Eddie. When Charlie was 14, one of his parents' fights got out of control. He decided that he couldn't take it anymore, and he left with Eddie. All alone, they learned quickly of both survival and prejudice. When they encountered the Revolutionaries, they knew that was where they belonged.
