Introduction
When first the land was thrust into despair, a rumor began circulating that a young duchess, the niece of the good king (who had been loved and raised as a daughter after her father, the king’s brother, and his wife died of consumption) had escaped murder and was hiding among the peasantry. However, it was only a rumor, and hope began to fade again.
King Elias has ruled for nearly two decades. He is hard on the nobility, save those as cruel as he, and harder on the peasants. The spirits of nature no longer visit man, and the elves that have not been captured as slaves have disappeared. Dwarves still trade, but only because their forging abilities are unprecedented.
Whispers of a rebellion in the west are circulation, but only if you know where and how to listen.
Geography of Andratia
The geography and climates of Andratia are as varied as our own North America, There are mountains on the eastern border, as well as on the other side of the Great Western Desert. The southern border is coastline. To the north, snow and ice. Everywhere else is a conglomeration of plains, forest, and farmlands. In the very center is the sacred forest, though the size has diminished a lot. A detailed map to come later.
Races of Andratia
Andratia is a human country, though elves live in the forests and dwarfs in the mountains within the borders. They are not recognized as Andratian citizens. The only elves that have been seen in the last twenty years were captured as slaves. The free elves have disappeared, presumably into the forests. Dwarfs have become more common rather than less, the new king encouraging trade with the excellent blacksmiths. There used to be nature spirits abound, but what with the sacred areas of the wilderness being invaded under Elias’ rule, most have shunned humankind.
Playable races:
Elf
Human
Gnome
Tree-Spirit
If you have another preference, I may approve it.
Religion and Worship
Andratians follow the teachings of the All-god who created all life, including the nature spirits. The All-god has many aspects, such as Tether, the ground god, Faye, the goddess of magic, etc. They are all aspects of the All-god and are recognized as such by the people. Elves worship only the nature spirits put on earth by the All-god, and the dwarves only believe in what can be seen.

Re: Rebellion in Andratia
The Guardians
Appearance: They are large raptor-like, metal skinned humanoids with various patterns and colors, ranging from as bright as a poisonous frog to as dark as the night. They have arms that are set at human proportions to their standing height, excluding tail, that are armed with 2 to 5 inch claws. They have muscular thighs and average sized calves, giving an animalistic leg in look, with the same size claws on their feet. The tail is usually about half as long as the body.
Magic: Guardian magic usually involves coating oneself in the chosen element, and various other forms of self enhancement. It also includes a heavy focus on healing and protection.
Physical attacks: Guardians use their natural claws and teeth instead of swords. Do not doubt them, however, as they have been seen to do much more damage than swords do to the Guardians. The Guardians, despite their massive size, are extremely fast, and known to charge as an attack. These charges, if you can dodge them, can be used against the Guardians as they struggle to stop or turn when at speed.
Society/History: Until recently, only the highest of elves and nature spirits knew of the Guardians. They were created by the spirits thousands of years ago in an effort to prevent damage to their sacred lands. As such, only recently have these deep forest monstrosities come out of hiding.
The Guardians have an unnatural connection to the elves, and vice versa. An example being an angry Guardian going to attack a war carriage, when a small elf child interrupts it before it is spotted, and has it help the elf find its way home. The Guardians have this same connection to the poor, the abused, and mages , but they are often fear by those groups.
The Guardians are currently the sworn enemies of the well treated nobles. They have even intercepted a few assassins with no other reason than spite. They are liable to attack said nobles and soldiers on sight, as they see them as threats to that which they were created to protect.
Tell me what you think, please.
