Description:
Dara stands an even six feet, years of combat practice from his father have made his body very much gladiator ready, even if that wasn’t the intention. At 190 pounds of muscle its clear why he was selected for the games.

His overall skin is a light tan at this point, but from his elbows across his forearms to his knuckles are fine dingy red scales, that upon touch don’t feel very much different from the rest of his skin. His face is smoothly angled, with unshaved stubble growing on it; he might be considered handsome. The hair on his head is a rich, dark, brunette that goes no farther than his shoulder blades at this point, it has been growing out in the time he has been fighting in the games.

Dara’s eyes are a sold gold which may seem luminescent in darker places; they also allow a wide variety of expressions.
The bones in his body are denser then most, allowing better endurance against physical shock, however this by no means is any sort of invulnerability as they can break under the appropriate amount of pressure. Other traits of his draconic heritage are enhanced strength and faster healing.

Personality: Dara is a motivated young man; he knows his goal and will try anything in his power to achieve it. Though he can be compassionate, he may not always take the chivalrous route if it doesn’t help him complete his quest for freedom. To him what matters most is the release of his family, and if you’re in the way he’ll seriously think about whether or not to remove you. He isn’t without a sense of honour thankfully, forming an alliance or aiding him may earn his respect as well as less of a chance conflicting with him.

In the arena Dara is a zealous fighter, he’ll do whatever it takes to win and come out alive. That isn’t to go as far as sacrificing comrades mind you; to him they increase his chances of winning his freedom.

Preferred Weapons: Dara’s favourite weapon is the long sword, though a battle axe he is proficient at as well.
His draconic heritage does in fact grant him the power to breathe fire, unfortunately unlike his half-dragonborn father he cannot sustain it for more then fifteen seconds, and he runs a risk of burning his throat and other parts of his body as he isn’t as resilient to as his ancestors. The limit he can perform this is only once a day, any more and he risks cooking himself from the inside out.

History/ Feelings on being a gladiator: Dara’s draconic ancestry traces back to grandmother a Dragonborn. She and his grandfather where adventurers that settled down in Diran before the “new management” showed up. His father, a half-dragonborn, was raised under the values of honour and loyalty to his clan; or rather his family as his mother technically left her clan long ago. As such, those values were passed onto Dara, whom doesn’t remember a time when they were free.

As a boy his father trained him in basic combat, as he was one of the warriors whom defended Diran in the old days. At the age of 18 his father was accused of inciting a rebellion (which was true), though through some sort of grace he was only imprisoned for life instead of executed. Dare made a deal with the “authorities” that were looking for recites to participate in the games, if he won enough rounds to win his freedom as a slave he and the rest of his family could go free. Deciding that it would be amusing this was allowed, and for the past four years he has made it this far, it won’t be much longer until he reaches his goal.
