The young woman known as "Carla" once was an ordinary human who was kidnapped and experimented on by an unknown doctor who transformed her into a living solar battery. The doctor had lost his medical license prior to "Carla's" disappearance for performing illegal body and power enhancement modifications on unwilling test subjects. "Carla" was able to be freed from this doctor's lab by Federal authorities working for the Fugitive Task Force, whose mission is to locate missing persons and hold those responsible for their crimes. The doctor was arrested and finally put behind bars.

After "Carla" was rescued, she found a student Identification card in the effects the Fugitive Task Force recovered in the lab, with what appeared to bear the old name of "Carl Solari." Once she was released for medical observation, she took on the name "Carla Solari" and started a new life. Not too many people know what happened to "Carl Solari", but the new girl has taken on the identity of Carl's twin sister for public record.

Carla's birthday is June 21, according to her father, Dr. Joseph Solari.
