“For you see, partner, you never truly leave The Zone, and it never really leaves you either. The dead grass under your boot is as much a part of you as you will be a part of it eventually. The only thing you can do until then is simply survive it, bear its weight on your shoulders and hope it doesn’t crush you too soon. Because once that happens, it’s over.

The Zone reclaims you, and if you’re lucky, you’ll be a beautiful flower in the dirt, one that shines out amongst the dirt and blood on the ground, a shining beacon that tells other people, “Hey, I made it this far, so can you,” and you’ll be a marker on the journey of someone else, another survivor in this hellscape on the same path you took yourself.

But it’s okay, because everything comes to an end eventually. Good people and fun times will die out, just as The Zone and the monsters that live inside it will die out as well, given time.

So if you manage to make to another sunrise, smile and laugh, share a drink and a smoke with a fellow survivor, and live this fucked up life of yours to the fullest.

Otherwise, this place will eat your soul long before you’re ever dead. And honestly, that’s the worst kind of death out here.

Now, how’s about some music for your weary soul in exchange for something to eat or drink? I’m not going anymore anytime soon, so kick back near the fire and just enjoy some peace while we got it...”


The Zone.

Once you're in, there's not a lot of ways out.
And even then, you're never truly out.

You're a STALKER, which can mean seven different things. Scavengers, Trespassers, Adventurers, Loners, Killers, Explorers and Robbers. You become what you're defined by from your own decisions.
What are you here for? Are you trying to feed your family? Become a big shot? Work off debt? Running from the law? Or maybe you just want to make a legacy, a name for yourself.
This is set before the events in any of the STALKER games, so there will be no people here but those who play. There will still be encounters with monsters like Snorks and such, but not as many, as mentioned before; Nobody is here yet. Everyone who submits a character will be those who lay out a path for those after them.

All factions and groups inside the Zone will be formed by those in the zone. I don't care who is in it, or what you believe in, be it serious or nonsensical.
I would like a level of interactivity in The Zone, so for those that want a place for their group to meet in, or for them to stay, I will gladly build a campfire or small hut where you please.
I want to find a way to put items inside the Zone, but until then, I will simply allow you to bring in whatever items you please, within reason.
