The wind blew cool calming air in the Night. Stars twinkled around the full moon like friendly whisperers in a huge crowd. Sanctuary walked patiently through the tall grass as the wind made the grass sway like his white hair, his mind wandered between the sudden death of his father, and the pilgrimage he had to come. Though in such a dark time, Sanctuary wished that he could just curl up in cry next to one of these lonely boulders, but for the sake of his current planet, and planets to come, he had to be strong. Sanctuary watched as a spirit orb rose from the ground and into the sky slowly. It was beautiful, as though it whispered 'hope' to him, giving him courage.

Sanctuary was happy that he wasn't alone though. He already found a couple of guardians to aid him on his quest, with this, he didn't feel as scared as he should. Though he was still worried about Descending, he didn't know if the Gods whose temples where located on this world were like that of his world. Gods on his world were easily influenced, and kind, but he knew that was usually never the case. Sanctuary stopped, and turned around looking towards his guardians with a distant smile,"Its going to rain soon," Sanctuary said in his soft friendly tone of voice,"Its best that we find someplace to stay for the night, there isn't a way that we could make it to Terrayln tonight." Sanctuary looked through the mountains in the distance where he saw Sky Ships rising threw. That's where they were headed."Maybe we could find an abandoned cottage, or perhaps a traveling camp site?" Sanctuary through out possible outcomes trying to sound optimistic, even though he didn't see anything for a while.

This night was very calm, perfectly relaxing. Right now, walking outside was the perfect place to be. Astrid was following the Metyxi prince at least five feet behind, his head tilted back to watch the stars as he walked. The outside world was truly amazing. Astrid could barely believe he was right now in the middle of this opportunity to live up to something. Could one even imagine? In a world like this... how insignificant must every creature be? But, to live to be a legend, well, it would be a miracle, really. Astrid could scarce imagine a more appealing sort of miracle.

Astrid was eased from his thoughts when the prince spoke to him and the other gaurdian. Astrid never really had much patience for anyone who broke a long silence without warning. It would tend to tear him from his thoughts so quickly as to startle him - usually causing him to stumble into something unpleasant. But when the Metyxi prince (Sanctuary, as he was called) spoke up, it was surprising to Astrid, but didn't cause him irritation or loss of footing. It was strange, and just being that it was out of the norm was unexpected, and therefore surprising. His voice was soft, soothing, non-invasive and it seemed to blend into everything perfectly in a way that harmonized with and complemented his surroundings. Interesting.

'Pleasant surprise,' Astrid mused to himself silently.

Astrid glanced to the side where Derik was walking, as if to take note of his reaction to the prince's pleasant voice. "Someplace abandoned sounds best," He replied offhandedly, carefully itching his cheek with the sharp talon of his index finger. "Shouldn't be too hard to discover something like."

There was a gentle presence in the night. Nothing was going wrong with it. Nothing could go wrong with it. Nothing will ever go wrong with it. These thoughts were always popping in Derik's mind. He emanated a happy presence, or at least tried to. The two beside him seemed like they were out of it, like they wanted to get out of this right now, but it didn't really matter to Derik. All he was really here to do was to watch the horizon and surroundings for anything that might be evil, but it really seemed like there wasn't any threat here, which put a bigger bounce in his step. The only thing bringing him even slightly down was that there was almost no noise. Sure, the soft hum of the insects surrounding the group was fine, but he was really longing for a good conversation.

Of course, when the Prince spoke up, he immediately felt enthusiastic by his forecast: rain. Sure, maybe they would want to find an abandoned house or barn, but Derik was perfectly fine with laying out in the rain. Actually, he loved it! The quick drops of water made the world seem peaceful, like it was nature's way of hugging them. Perhaps the others wouldn't understand that, but he knew to always stand by this belief.

But simply to contribute to the conversation, he added, "A while back there was a nice camp ground, so maybe another one will pop up soon. I'm getting pretty tired, too." He threw in a yawn for effect. "I hope we find somewhere soon, but I have no problem with sleeping against a log if it gets too late without any luck."

Neither the rumbling clouds above them, the Sky Ships from the mountains, nor the unenthusiastic thoughts he knew Astrid and the Prince were having about spending the night in the rain made Derik feel any less ready to finally lay down and nap the night away.
