Theodus walked down the stairs of the Espor Inn, with each step a low pitched creek sounded. Dressed in a rather plain dark linen shirt, voluptuous crimson red leggings, and black buckled boots, he made his way across the diameter from the stairs to the bar in a proud swagger and promptly sat down on the comfortable cushion. Surprisingly awake for such a time in the morning, Theodus began to talk in his semi-low voice

“I’ll have some ale, and some bread.” Theodus said as he brought his foot up on the generic bar stool to tighten a buckle. Looking around the barren inn he could see it was of poor maintenance, and reckoned that most inhabitance were asleep, as there were little people awake and those who were awake were scattered and drowsy among the battered and broken tables. The server roughly tapped Theodus’ shoulder, bringing his attentions back to the table where he was greeted by generous slice of bread and a bottle of ale.

“Eh that’ll be eight silver pieces.” The server said in an oddly raspy low tone. Theodus provided the eight silver pieces as asked and upon that the server walked behind the table. While eating, Theodus noticed the weird man peering at him. Oddly built, the man appeared old, supporting a nastily tangled beard and equally stylish hair which was sparse. Theodus and the old man’s eyes met as Theodus took a bite out of his bread (which was a doughy mess) and awkwardly looked away.
Finishing up his meal and he got up, chair screeching against the wooden floor and walked towards the wooden door, which was barely hanging on to the frame. The sound of his boots clumsily step across the floor boards, filled the silent room.

Vaguely buzzed he stepped out into the cool air, taking a long breath of the fresh air and made his way down the old molded steps of the Espor Inn taking in the scenery, to his left the market the smell of meat and fish was carried by the wind to his nose, in front of Theodus about eight to nine feet there would seem to be a dark elf in heavy clothing only his eyes visible selling goods. Theodus could make out some of his words which would be something to the effect of “Hello stranger.” Now looking left which would appear to only be a collection of buildings.

Strangely, a voice sounded though he couldn’t make out the words Theodus followed it impulsively. Upon following it, it got louder and more define. Eventually he could make out a woman asking him to come to her. Almost against his will he moved towards the source of the sound, and eventually tracked it to its origin, behind a scattered bundle of houses, and a couple shops.

Helen turned to the river and stared at the reflection and the got lost in it for a moment before something seemed to make her turn around. A force more powerful than magic was moving her entire body, a voice seemed to tell her that they're here. She saw one.. two.... three, no four men that seemed to be staring back at her. Before her stood two humans a knight and what seemed to be a alchemist, to her side in the distance was a dragonborn no doubt some sort of warrior, and a dark figure of a man which she never seem the likes of before.

" By the Divines your here.... it worked you answered my call" She fell to her knees quickly, in her heart she knew the her search was over, for now. " I did not know where to start my search for you and now your hear.... thanks the heavens " she says as she wipes tears off her face, not tears of sadness but of joy.

" please I need your help... all of you, a darkness has awakened and seeks the end the balance" Looking at each one of them straight in the eyes with such kindness and innocence's, at of someone who had never seem a battle or token another's life before. " you have to believe me, please your the only thing that stands in the way of evil."

Theodus was taken aback, and steadied his footing as if he was hit by a shock wave. He has encountered ranting lunatics before that prophesized the end times in his travels but has never believed them and would certainly not believe this either. But something inside of Theodus told him that this was true, something deep down, and as much as he wouldn’t believe it he felt as if it was true.

Returning glances with the petite woman he said in a serious, voice that came straight from the heart.
“I believe you, but what shall we do maiden?” Theodus said as he exhaled his worried breath; still staring at the lady.
“Shall I armor up?” He said stroking his thin beard, as he said that he regretted it. He came to Espor to rest he thought, after three years of battle. He stared still; having flash backs of war, which soon enveloped him.

Theodus woke up the frost nipping at his toes, which might have fallen off already he didn’t care. He jumped up hearing screams. Un-prepared, his armor would take too long to put on, so he grabbed his sword and shield and ran out of the tent taking in the full scene as his freezing feet pattered on the damp grass. Everywhere orcs killing people left and right. He hurried out to help his comrades, and found a man in necessitate. Pinned by two of the unholy monsters, unsure how he was going to kill both of the heathens his instincts set in.

Running full velocity at them he got in-between the muscle heads beating his companion to a pulp. Bashing the left ones head in with the shield and winding up to swing at the second but was not quick enough. The orc grabbed Theodus by the chest and with one arm threw him at the ground. In sweltering pain from the monstrous blow his chest felt crushed. Bellowing at the top of his lungs, sword and shield nowhere to be found he slugged the orc in the face which was to no reward.

“Ahahaha! Stupid human think that he can hurt me.” His accomplice had recuperated from the shield blow and was now holding Theodus from behind. Kicking and screaming using every last amount of force he had writhed and squirmed breaking free of the grip but not in time as the opposing orc whaled his fist into his stomach. Falling to the ground the orc kicked him, his metal boot causing excessive harm. Theodus got up and look at them, then around. Soldiers left and right dead, orcs outnumbered them grievously. He saw another orc join the three beating him.

Theodus felt as if he was done. The orc that joined the other two dropped his weapons and slugged Theodus in the face, the first orc picked Theodus up and stared at him, those eyes he still remembered to this day in one word; malicious. Theodus spat in his face and started to gouge out his eyes with every morsel of energy left in his arms. The third orc threw him off. Screaming the orc yelled

“GRAAAAAAH! HE KNOCKED ONE OF ME EYES OUT!” The orc rammed into him, causing remarkable pain. On the ground, blood running down his head, and blood on his thumbs (not his own) looked up and saw the three orcs encircling him with grins on their faces.

Snapping back to reality he zoned out breathing heavily.

The dragonborn smiled a bit. It had been days he'd been waiting on this moment. Nysoth looked around; they weren't quite a lot. Four men. He wondered if there would be more along the way, or is there something more that is hiding inside of them. He approached himself to the woman to have a stronger knowing about what she was talking about like the other did.

"A darkness has awakened, hmm?" he muttered to himself. Of course, he remember the words of his father. "Voga whedab grapwol," he further mumbled, but he smiled still. If it is the turning point of his quest, he shall take it. "Axun - Yes. I've been told to seek the one who will guide me to resolve this omen." He then looked at the others, especially the one that seems to have just zoned out. "Although, I'm just wondering, will there be more xiekivi in the group? From what I understand, the one who stopped such problem were more than the few of us."

He didn't look concerned at all, as he would remember the motto that his mentor often give when they were in meditation. sjek wer mamiss di vi arytiss kiarf qe versvesh; wer ricin di ir kiarf qe versvesh lae algbo. That dragonborn always give such good advise even though it made him look like an ancient. But for the instructor part, he was quite good.

He still don't feel that they four of them could possibly stop this menace like the seven warriors did before. He always admire them and walking in their footsteps isn't a thing that ever came to his mind. Nysoth remained calm; if it is his destiny, he will accept it with great care. There was big obstacles in their path. He knew not of them, but knew that they much overcome whatever stands in their pathway.

Malton looks around himself when he finally comes-to out of his trance-like state that had led him up to the hill. He first took note of the figure that was standing upon said hill, taking in her clothing, ethnicity, race, and her general body language. Next, he examined the other bodies that were, much like himself, marching towards her. She, the figure on the hill, began to speak out to the small group, addressing them in a pleading manner that nearly puts her in tears, but Malton is not nearly as moved. "Whoa whoa whoa, please, slow down..." He motions downwards with both of his hands, and is slightly cringing at the whole ordeal. "Ma'am, are you sure you have the right people? I mean... From what it sounds like, some evil force is going to destroy everything, and I think you might have contacted the wrong adventurers." He points to the warrior who is now reliving some sort of personally-traumatic event; "The armored-knight fellow is a step in the right direction, but..." He points at the well-off street-thug; "He looks like he would be one of the fellows that would stab us all in the back later on over a pile of coins." Next, he points at the dragon born; "He seems like a good choice for stopping something, an evil force maybe not but a group of brigands would be a good challenge." And lastly he points to himself, "And I am just a fellow who wants to make a potion that can turn a man into solid gold... So if you believe this motley-band of misfits are going to be enough to stop an ancient evil, it better be something smaller than a horse, or we might have some troubles."

Looking around at all of the people that have been chosen he too questioned himself, and nodded his head in agreement with the alchemist

“Wouldn’t you be looking for an army? Or something more than what five people?”

He said as he shifted his weight to his other foot looking around at the others.

The Dragonborn spoke first "Although, I'm just wondering, will there be more xiekivi in the group? From what I understand, the one who stopped such problem were more than the few of us." he seemed a little to happy with what was said, like he knew it was coming or something.

Next was the alchemist spoke up and questioned her "Whoa whoa whoa, please, slow down..." He seems a bit unhappy with the hole ordeal, motioning downwards with his hands.

"Ma'am, are you sure you have the right people? I mean... From what it sounds like, some evil force is going to destroy everything, and I think you might have contacted the wrong adventurers." Now to tell her what was wrong with this group.

He first points to the warrior who is lost in his own mind "The armored-knight fellow is a step in the right direction, but..."

pointing at the well-off street-thug; "He looks like he would be one of the fellows that would stab us all in the back later on over a pile of coins."

Then, pointing at the dragon born; "He seems like a good choice for stopping something, an evil force maybe not but a group of brigands would be a good challenge."

Lastly pointing to himself "And I am just a fellow who wants to make a potion that can turn a man into solid gold... So if you believe this motley-band of misfits are going to be enough to stop an ancient evil, it better be something smaller than a horse, or we might have some troubles." He seemed to doubt himself as well.

Soon after him was the knight, he seemed to be in complete agreement his the alchemist. “Wouldn’t you be looking for an army? Or something more than what five people?”

Helen was a pit over whelmed bit all the questions but she tried to answered " To answer your question Dragonborn Sir... well I cannot say for sure, the future is or ever changing like the ripples of a pond."

" How dare you, how dare you!!" Helen balled her hand in to fists, her hole body began to shake in anger " you bring to light all the is a flaw in each of them alchemist and in yourself as well. You all have traits and abilities the are above the rest of any one in this world, the exception being the seven divine warriors themselves, But I believe that you will surpass them in every way shape and form." she tried to calm her self but her could not " The Gods themselves picked you out and that is way your here... If you where not meant to be here you would never of her my voice. " Helens eyes turned black as the void it self. " only you who hear the call are destined to stop the Evil and if you do not believe my I will go stop its blight my self because I am a part of this just as much as you are."

She turned her back to the Alchemist " I have powers and abilities to, I have my own flaws but I all was find a way to overcome them. so leave if you want." She began to cry, she turned to they would not see the tears. She really did not want them to leave but if them did not have faith in their own powers they would surly die and she did not want that to happen.

Kisa slowly walked up, now in a more motherly type of manner, "There, there. I'm sure we can figure something out. Truth be told, if the gods and goddesses chose us to defend this world. Then who am I, or anyone here to say no...?" she spoke rising and looking at the others, "I may doubt my abilities too. And trust me I do. But if we're selected to do something by them. Then who, as beings that they decided to create have the audacity to say no?" she asked again, it annoyed her to no end of how seemingly arrogant the other party members had seemed. Not knowing what was to entail for her, she accepted her fate. Though outnumbered and seemingly outclassed by the others, she was going to convince them to remain. She turned to the priestess whom was as far as she could tell, crying and smiled slightly, "I, Kisanya Mikeno, accept my fate to attempt to fend off the darkness. I also accept any consequences of my actions." she continued, looking into the Priestess' eyes. Now ignoring the other 'fools' in her mind. She was going to defend her people even if it meant her own demise.

He looked over at the alchemist who was already in doubt of everyone capacities. Nysoth didn’t like him at all already, but he remained calm. When the priestess spoke to him, he nodded in agreement. “Di ekmiv; ekis ui khru – nothing is certain.” He told in a low voice. He did have some doubts like the alchemist, but unlike him, he knew that most adventures starts with a group of misfits, then they become the best.

What impressed him is the anger that surrounded the priestess after she talked to him. He wasn’t going to judge of her as she did have the rights to get some words out on the alchemist, and she expressed herself in a matter that he found correct. Although, those black eyes of hers is quite strange to him. Never had he seen such appearance come out of someone, especially from someone that looked as delicate as her. The dragonborn shook his head; it is not the time to doubt of her. There is some truth in her words as he was already informed on the situation. If the oracles are right… if she is right… This is their fate.

Then, another female interfere with all of this, and she seemed sided with the priestess. Out of all the characters that was around here, she seemed to be someone to trust. It made a smile appear on his face. The acceptation of such fate required a certain amount of courage, or if you’re just someone who is dumb enough to put in such risk. However, to the dragonborn’s eyes, he thought that she knew what she was doing.

‘Mobi ui ehis ekess hawg lae persvek trian ways yth janik loreat...’

He stepped forward, joining the girl who had accepted her fate and he gave a slight bow at the priestess, repeating her words. “I, Nysoth Ixen, accept my fate to attempt to fend off the darkness. I also accept any consequences of my actions.” He gave a quick smirk towards Kisanya, then a daring glare to the others, but most specifically towards the alchemist.

“We may be a group of misfits, but it is in a group that our jedark – force - is the greatess, not as individuals.”

Theodus looked at the two accept their fate and did also. Stepping forward with his swagger snapping to a regimental march he said in a voice unlike that of which was heard before

“So it is, I will fight and kill as many as possible and might die, but I’m dying one day. And I’m dying fighting.”

Looking at the other two and the rest he remained erect and thought to himself we must have been chosen for a reason.
