"But please, Kyo is fine."

Age: Unknown
"I lost count of that a long while ago, probably thousands. But everyone said that I looked like a 20-year-old man."

Gender: Male
"Isn't that clear to you? Why even asked?"

Theme Song (Optional): Sister's Noise - fripSide
"I'm closer to my sister more than anyone, but I still couldn't hear her voice..."

Side: Synchronicity
"I'm suppose that we're what they called "heroes"?"

Role: Humility
"It's alright. I'm not perfect, nobody's perfect, so don't look at me like that..."

Personality: Like his title, Kyo is very humble, even though he was good at many things and always seems to know what to do in every situations, he never considered himself perfect and always felt like he has to tried harder to achieve more than what he has already had, much to the contrary with his sister. Kyo smiles a lot and is very talkative. He gets along with his fellows well and always be there to help them whenever they need. Even though Kyo didn't acknowledge this, but he was really clever and could come up with brilliant ideas even in the hardest times. As the highest rank of the Virtues, Kyo has the charismatics of a true leader, though he don't often put himself up to this position and treated his fellow Entities along with their Children like his close friends. He rarely loses his temper and always seems to be calm on the battlefield. Kyo has a high teamwork spirit, he believes that if they work together, they can overcome any obstacles. He was also very determined, when he has decided to do something, he will never stop until he achieve it, however, Kyo can be impatient sometimes.

Appearance: Kyo is about 6'3'' tall. He has short, unkempt blue hair with sapphire eyes. He is slender but still a bit muscular with white skin. Kyo has always been fond of blue and white colors, so he wears a black tank top inside and a white, long-tail blazer with blue borders outside. He also wears brown pants and high boots. He is always seen to wore a blue scarf around the neck of his blazer.

History: As one of the seven Cardinal Virtues, Kyo often addresses himself and the others that they were ambassadors from the Heaven, came into this world to defeat the Deadly Sins and to cleanse away all wrongdoings. However, it wasn't always like that. He used to be a normal person with a normal, peaceful and happy life in the town across the seas along with his sister. Both of them showed great potentials since they were young. Kyo developed an aptitude in literature and arts and even though his parents thought that such abilities weren't very fit with a boy like him, they still encouraged him and helped both Kyo and his sister in nurturing their potentials. As he grew older, his abilities grew with him. He was really proud of his potentials, but he has never treated people around him as if they were less than him or anything and he has a lot of friends thanks to his talkative personality.

Kyo and his sister were different in many ways, but he puts aside all of those differences and acted loving towards her. He always cares for her and help her whenever she needed. They gets along quite well. Kyo knew that his sister is so proud of her abilities that people often showed their jealousy and hatred towards her, but he always defended her and encouraged her to keep trying hard.

As time passed by, women and girls were treated unequally. When the fear of witchcraft began to spread, Kyo's sister was accused of being a witch due to her abilities and attitudes. Kyo has tried to defend her sister and telling everyone that she was just a normal person like everyone, but no one would listened to him. So in the end, his sister has to pass extreme trials and sentenced to be burned at a stake. Kyo could only watched hopelessly as his sister was being bounded and humiliated. Their family was forced to driven back to their home but Kyo managed to get away and got to his sister as fast as he could. She was looking around to find if any of her family's members were there, but since people was crowded around her and Kyo was covered in shroud so that no one would realized, his sister couldn't saw him.

As the execution began to proceed and the fire was lit on. Kyo could only clenched his fists and blamed himself for not be able to protect her. He felt like he'd do anything just to save her from her fates. But at the moments his sister screamed "Yes!" in desperation and agony, Kyo could felt a light suddenly embraced him and took him away somewhere. When he opened his eyes, he was shocked because he was taken into an unknown place. There were absolutely nothing there, only the white nothingness covered the whole place. Then, a light appeared in front of him and introduced itself, then explained to him that evil forces from another dimensions had managed to enter this world and that his sister now has became the incarnation of one of them. Then the light asked him if he wanted to save his sister, and to save this world from demise. Without a second thought, he agreed. As the light merged into him, he became unconscious.

Kyo didn't know he has been sleeping for how long, but it felt like he has been unconscious for hours, or probably days. When he woke up, he is back to his village. But he could only looked around in horror as his hometown now was nothing more than a lifeless ruin with no living beings to be found. His parents, the villagers and his sister were gone. But then, Kyo stared at his hands and felt that a pure, yet powerful force was running through his veins. He then looked on with determination. From then, he has decided that he has only one goal: to find his sister and free her from the darkness that has corrupted her. Putting his past behind, he walked away from the ruin of the village, telling himself to never look back. Kyo has been travelling aimlessly for decades, or perhaps, for centuries, only to find his sister. That is until he came across the Synchronicity and began his fighting fate alongside with them with the duty of a leader.

Insignia: An inverted cross, also known as the Cross of St.Peter, the symbol of humility.

Weapons/Abilities:

  • Holy Consecration: A form of exorcism in which Kyo uses holy light to purify his targets. The stronger the light was, the more powerful evil he could purify but it's also taken him a lot of strenght if he is to deal with tough components.
  • Bow: Kyo has taken on archery ever since he became the incarnation of Humility so he is a skillful archer, hough he doesn't often prefer to use it. Kyo's bow is actually his insignia, when needed, it can "unpacked" itself and reveal its true form as a bow with gray color. Kyo can materializes enchanted arrows by using his holy ability.
  • Aura Deletion: Kyo can enhances objects and clothes with the ability to hinder their bringer auras, which help a lot in staying undercover.
  • Connection: As a part of the contract, both Kyo and his catalyst has a special connection which enables them to locate wherever the other was. Through this connection, they can also converse with each other through their minds, but only for a limited range of 20 square kilometers.

Trivia:

  • Kyo's sister is, of course, Pride, which explains the total contrary between both of them.
  • He is often be seen with a headphone.
  • He is secretly a bisexual.
  • Kyo cares for Hikari - his Child, like an older brother. Though it is uncertain if his feeling was deeper than that.

Friergate City. As all other events play out and pieces start to connect to paint a larger picture, another side of the story is about to unveil...

Downtown Friergate, Luxe Suites Apartment, 5th Floor...
Inside Room 506, a young man was busy surfing the TV for no apparent reason. His fingers aptly alternated between channels as he tries to keep himself entertained--to no avail. Getting quite bored with the activity, he threw the remote away, leaving the TV on the local news channel, which had just brought up a report.

"Yesterday evening, an explosion was heard on a building located at 5th Avenue Main Street. Source of the explosion is said to be an LPG tank. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Police are now trying to find out the cause of the tank's--"

"Well, guess there are no activities yet..." Nozomi laid back on the sofa as the shuffling sounds of another person inside the apartment drowned out all other sounds from the TV. He was currently enjoying this brief moment of peace. Not even Pride, their leader, has made any attempt to contact him. With that out of his mind, his attention turned to the place he bought. From where he was lying at, he could hear an arguing couple on the other room, and a crying baby on the adjacent side. "Luxe Suites my ass, this place sure isn't that luxurious..." He complained to no one in particular. Still the sounds were getting annoying, especially since Fumina, his servant, is basically dropping the boxes of stuff they had with much force.

"Fumina...would you be careful with that? The mechanical parts there might break." He addressed her without even budging an inch from his chair.

BAM!!!

Upon hearing the sound, Nozomi stood up to confront the rather careless girl who dropped it, intentionally. "Fumina...what did I just say?"
"Oh, I'm sorry!" Fumina replied with obvious sarcasm, even striking a pose similar to a person who's being arrested. "Cause you know? The boxes are heavy and moving around ten of these by myself is very taxing especially with someone who won't even offer a hand and just lies down there all day, watching TV!" The girl complained.
"Can't help it. Blame the Sin that was imposed on me." Nozomi tried to steer the attention away.
"Well you wouldn't have turned into this Entity if not for your laziness in the first place. Besides, do you remember the legend that came up thanks to you?"
"The part where everyone thinks that Circus only has six members? It's actually an advantage, since no one knows about us." Nozomi retorted back. Fumina walked closer to him and handed him some cash.
"If you're not gonna help me arrange our things, can you at least buy some refreshments? The coffee shop at 2nd avenue looks like it has a great selection!" She showed her master a flyer she picked up.
"But that's three avenues way!"
"Come on! You can take the bus if you want. Please?" The girl was practically going all "moe" on him. He wasn't buying though.
"And if I won't?"

Ten minutes later...
"Well, leave it to me to get kicked out of my house by my own anchor..." He ended up going in the end, after getting kicked out of the room by Fumina. Seeing the line to bus seemed like a hassle so he opted to walk. Turning to head inside the shop, he saw that the line was rather long. Still, the shop was nice and big so he sat at one table to wait for the line to get shorter, unaware that the owner was just another table away from him.

"Well, there is a church located in one of the exclusive compounds...but, I think it's not really deserted. This isn't really a Christian city so, places of worship are rare." Izumi informed Kyo and Hikari as she paused to sip her drink. "And, I won't really be of much help in looking around since I won't be able to fight anyway in case Circus attacks. You'll really be better off asking Rin but, she's disappeared somewhere again..." Izumi sighed as she listens to Kyo's proposal. While waiting for a response, Izumi glanced at the long line, thinking of things that can be improved on.

"Now this is annoying." Nozomi thought as he saw that the line isn't getting any shorter. In fact, it grew longer with the sudden arrival of a bunch of students from a nearby university. To top it off, they were all noisy.
"All right, let's get these people out of the way..." Nozomi looked around for anything that he could use as a means of entertainment. He saw a soccer player with a ball tucked underneath his arm, waiting in line. "Perfect." With his telekinesis, he let the ball slip and hit a tray of drinks a waitress was carrying, forcing it to spill on the noisy students. Soon, they were screaming at both the guy and the waitress, irritating all other people, forcing Izumi to try and make a compromise. The students won't accept it though and stormed out the shop angrily. With them gone, Nozomi took the empty spot in line.
"No hard feelings, you people were just halting my schedule..." Nozomi thought as he lined up along with all other people who didn't really give a care that day.

The waitor then brought both Kyo and Hikari's drinks out, Kyo took a sip from his coffee cup and then replied, "It's okay, you just need to give me an address or something and I'll find it."

Suddenly, Kyo heard a girl was yelling at a waitor. Izumi then stood up and went to make compromise. Kyo shook his head and then continued to enjoy his drink. "It's still early in the morning and people has began to fuss", Hikari sighed as he drinks through a straw, "I don't think if I can handle such madness everyday."

"If you call this is madness, then this is nothing compared to the madness in this world, Hikari", Kyo giggled, "because you don't have to been through any of the wars yet so you can't feel it. But that's okay, it's nothing pleasant really."

"So, how was it then?", Hikari turned his head to Kyo.

"They were the moments that we have to kill to survive. We have to stained our own hands with the blood of our enemies to be able to live through that madness. It wasn't something that you can fully understand just by hearing, you have to experienced it by yourselves to live the whole story", Kyo said as he looked up to the ceiling while remember back to the previous wars that he has seen, "it is us alone fighting against another two enemies to survive. All we ever wanted is to bring peace into this world, but to achieve that goal, we have to pay a bitter price - it is to watched our companions to sacrifice but we can't do anything about it..."

"I see...", Hikari turned down his head and said. For once, he doesn't know what to say, he has never experienced anything like it in his life.

"Well, sorry for dragging your mood down", Kyo smiled and cheered Hikari up, "even if we have to fight, it doesn't mean that we can't enjoy our lives? You'll see."

Kyo said as he took a sip from his cup, waiting for Izumi to dealt with the problem in her shop so that they can get on their way soon. But suddenly, a feeling washed through his mind. He turned his head and looked around the shop. "What's happened?", Hikari asked.

"Another Entity has entered this shop. My feeling is often correct, but I hope that this time it is wrong", Kyo said as frowned while trying to find the source of the aura. "So finally, you've decided to show up, Sinner's Circus?", he said to himself.

"No, celebrities are rumored to have a lot of doubles when they walk around, in order to avoid attention. I was thinking maybe, she is around here somewhere." Rin tried to draw out the conversation more as most of the people started clearing off. There was no mistake about it. This girl is a member of Circus. Soon, the lines were reduced to just a few people long.
"Oh and by the way, nice scissors you have there..." Rin finally spoke up, revealing her true intention.

As he approached the counter, Nozomi felt the presence of another Entity in the shop. Actually, he was sensing one Entity and two Catalysts. The single Entity's aura though, was very overpowering.
"This damn feeling...there is no doubt this is a Synchro member. Still, I think you're too rash, coming out into the open. Well, no matter. The amount of people will also prevent you from making any drastic moves while I--"
"Excuse me?" The clerk asked him if he was ready to order, interrupting his thoughts.
"Oh--I'll have--well, this and another frappe, I guess." Nozomi pointed to the drink encircled by Fumina on the brochure. After computing, the girl informed him of the cost.
"Huh? I already paid Miss."
"Sir, I don't think you--" The girl was suddenly fixated on Nozomi's eyes, which were making her uneasy. With his back turned to the other people, they couldn't exactly see what was going on. "A-ah! Is that so? Hmm...okay sir, we'll just call you if your order is ready. Your number is number 45. Please take a seat first."
"Thank you." Nozomi grinned as he took his seat. Taking out the cash Fumina gave him, he proceeded to pocket it for himself. "Who needs cash when you have hypnosis? I'll just take it for myself, as payment for making me walk around town in this heat." His eyes scanned the place as he tried to see who among the people was the powerful aura he was detecting.

"Really? So that means...", Hikari asked. He just became a Child yesterday and today he already has to face with an Entity. How cool is that? He haven't even knows what he is capable of just yet.

"Yeah, they've decided to act", Kyo said while trying to concentrate in finding whoever might be a Circus member in the shop. He don't know if Izumi notices this or not, but if he can identify which Sin is it, he can decided whether it is better to retreat or not.

Kyo is well-awared that the Entity who entered the shop must have felt Kyo's aura too. And this person is definitely from the Circus. He hold his coffee cup and pretended like he was drinking it to make him as normal he could while rolling his eyes around to see if there are anyone suspicious.

"I've never met any Circus members with an aura like this, and it means that this Entity must've never showed themselves before", Kyo thought as he raised an eyebrow when he has identified the aura, "if that so, then this Entity must be Sloth, there's no doubt about it. But who can it be?", Kyo thought as he concentrated in finding, until he set his eyes to a boy who was sitting on a table near the counter, who was radiating the aura.

Kyo smirks, "Found ya." He secretly pulled out the flute which he hid under his sleeve.

"Hikari, can you hear me?", Kyo commute with his Child through their minds, " just be as normal as you could for now. But if the other Entity attempts to do something, I want you to plug your ears, okay?"

Hikari was pretty surprised when he heard Kyo's voice inside his head, but then he nodded to his Entity. He took a sip from his glass and tried to looked at another direction.

"Man, that was such a good swim", Miruka stretched his arms and said to himself gleefully after his swim in the city's pool. It has been a while since he enjoying himself like that, "it felt good to breathe the outside air after staying undercover such long time."

Miruka humming as he walked on the street while thinking of a way to find his fellow Virtues, "It's been a long time, I can't wait to see Kyo-chin again", he giggled, "but first, I need to stop by the mall and get some stuffs."

He walked through some streets and then stopped at the mall. But when he stepped inside, the feeling that he hasn't felt for a long time washed through his minds, and it intrigues him more than ever. This could only mean one thing - the Sin that countered him is here. Miruka frowns, "Not just her, there's another Entity here, though this one might be from the Synchro", he thought and sighed, "just getting out of my retreat and I already meet problems."

A few moments later, he saw that a girl was running and he quickly realized her. "Serpent...", Miruka raised an eyebrow, he knows it wouldn't be a good idea to show up now, "they're focusing on each other so I guess that they don't know that I'm here, better staying low for now", he thought as he hid behind a pillar near there.

Upon receiving his order, Nozomi got up and left the shop. With the concentration of people around, it would be hard to use his power without causing too much of a commotion. He was able to pinpoint which among the people there were Synchronicity members.
"And I thought there would be more difficulties. My psychokinetic mind can intercept any form of psychic communication, thanks to telepathy. He commanded his catalyst to plug his ears--if so, his power may have something to do with any form of hearing capability. If that's the case..." Nozomi took out his earphones and played some music on his mp3 player as he walked, converging with the other people in the street.
"Still, I haven't flexed my powers in a long while so unless I can call in some sort of backup, I'm not gonna test these waters just yet." Nozomi thought as he cut in an alley to avoid the scorching sun, beaming on the street.

Elsewhere...

"Hey, look over there. It's Hibiki."

Rin was temporarily addled by those words. Sharp reflexes can prove to be a small disadvantage when your mind automatically reacts to various stimuli. When her eyes once again fixed themselves on the girl, she had turned to run away.
"Ara? And I thought she was more--never mind..." Rin muttered as she ran swiftly to chase her target. She whispered to Priam to show her the possible destination of the girl, given her present trajectory.
"At this rate, she'll head onto a current, Indie-band performance in the reception hall. You can get there faster if you go through the second floor as there are less people. Jump down from the pillar on the Eastern Side of the stage. You can do it, can you?"
"Please, any Sacred Drive member can do that much at least." Rin followed through Priam's orders. Heading up the second floor, it was exactly as he said: Almost no people.
"Leave it to Priam to map out this entire building. Good, now--" Rin bent her legs a bit, focusing some of her energy onto her legs, creating some sort of eerie, blue glow. Her Active Cloaking used to hide her weapons were dispelled but this re-directed energy propelled her forward, saving more time in running. Glancing down, she waited for the girl to pass by. When she did, she dropped jumped down, spiraling from the pillar and landing on the girl's back, whom she pinned to the ground.
"Got you." She whispered to the girl as she held down one hand. They were right behind the stage, with no witnesses and no bystanders. It was a nice stage set-up for them.

Izumi could swear that she detected some sort of aura around the place. It wasn't Kyo's nor was it his Catalyst's. It was entirely different. Way different to what she has been used to sensing.
"Well now, here, I've jotted down the address of the church I was talking about." Izumi handed Kyo a table napkin with the address of a church. "Call anytime you need something. But first, excuse me for a moment--" Izumi then headed around back, near the storage room where she usually keeps all of her items. Taking out her laptop, she opened up the records Rin shared with her.
"That aura was something different. It surely wasn't the same as any enemy we've encountered before..." She booted up the signal graphs; a sensing device that Izumi had installed on her laptop to keep track of any signals their opponents omit. It updates itself daily so, she was sure that it would've contained something by now.

"So far, Rin has fought most of the Circus members. The First Wrath, the Second Lust and Gluttony. Rumors abound that Pride and Greed are very powerful, acting like some sort of aristocrats among the Circus members. We have yet to face them but this new signal--it's not matching up to anything else in this directory." Izumi checked the matching results. Even if the intensity of the power is different, frequencies and wavelengths remain constant for every incarnation of a particular entity.
"It's not matching up to any of the Synchronicity members' wavelengths either. I have heard talk of a seventh member of Circus. Don't tell me--it's him? Regarding the intensity of his power, his signal is almost on par with---" Izumi's eyes widened when the results came up. "The First Wrath, Akito!" Thinking back, she remembered Rin's description of him, and what she felt during that day...

Flashback...

"Akito, classified under Sacred Drive's list as an S-rank, high priority target. He's a very formidable opponent. Several of our operatives have fallen prey to him. I nearly died fighting him. When I came to, he was said to be already dead..." Rin and Izumi were talking at the same coffee shop as the one they were in. It was nearly past midnight and the shop had closed, leaving them in total privacy.
"You seem to be hesitant to talk about him. Is he really that powerful? What was he like?" Izumi asked. Rin sipped her coffee to calm the nerves before carrying on.
"His power deals with electricity, which is plenty in this city, thanks to the presence of the Hayashibara Power Plants. Even without them though, he can generate his own, using a device embedded in his body frame. But it's not that. It's his mind that's the most disturbing. He has vast knowledge, common sense and possesses a way of thinking different from us normal humans. He cannot be persuaded by a mere presentation of morals and such. Once his eyes are set on a goal, he will stop at nothing to get it."
"Was he the one who--?"
"Yes. He was the one who funded that mercenary group that attacked my school. You could say that it was thanks to him that I became an Entity. But, as for myself, I don't really think of him that fondly."
"Really?"
"When I fought him the first time, it felt like--it felt like I was staring the devil straight in the face. I felt like I was locked in death's cold embrace. Heh, even until now, three years later, my hand still won't stop shaking."

Flashback end...

"To think that someone out there exists, who can rival Akito's, the Circus member with the most firepower, aura... Just how strong is the enemy that we're facing?" Izumi suddenly felt some sort of gap in her heart, as she remembered her Entity. She felt sorry for all that she had to go through.

"Rin..."

Kyo watched on as the boy carried his drinks and got out from the shop, the feeling also disappeared with him as he went out. Kyo smirked, "The fish went straight into the net. I don't want to put myself over the top or anything, but you must remember that I'm the Virtue that counter your leader, my dear. Still, I never want to fight you though. Wise decision", he thought.

With that, Kyo leaned on his back. Hikari blinked and turned to him, "He left... So what exactly are you going to do with that flute if he was going to attack then?"

"This thing?", Kyo said as he hold his flute and shrugged, "I wasn't going to do anything. Just wanted to scare him off a bit."

"So that means, you know at first that he can guess what you're thinking?", Hikari asked.

"Yep, that's one of my privileges, Hikari. I will explain to you later when we're on our way to the church", Kyo said and gave a wide grin.

A moments later, Izumi went to Kyo and Hikari. On the look on her face, Kyo can guess that she has already know that Sloth has come here. "Well now, here, I've jotted down the address of the church I was talking about. Call anytime you need something. But first, excuse me for a moment--", Izumi gave Kyo a table napkin with the address of a church.

"Thanks, Izumi-san", Kyo smiled. With that, Izumi went somewhere behind the shop. Kyo called for the waiter to pay for their drinks. After that, he stood up, "Come Hikari, let's go."

"But shouldn't we wait for Izumi?", Hikari asked.

"We can comeback and tell her later", Hikari said as they both got out of the shop, "first, let's get to the ground yesterday first."

"What for?", Hikari questioned.

"You'll see", Kyo grinned.

After they traveled through some streets, they got to the deserted ground yesterday. "So, what exactly are we going to do here?", Hikari looked around and said. Somethings tell him that his Entity is up to something.

Kyo gave Hikari a mischivious smile and then walked further from his Child, then he turned to face him. Suddenly, Kyo raised his arm towards Hikari's direction. The boy still didn't understand what was going on. Kyo then shot a beam of light towards his Child. Hikari was so surprised because of that, but he managed to dodge by the skin of his teeth.

"What the hell are you doing?!", Hikari yelled at his Entity. He is well-aware that because Kyo was one of the main Virtues so his power is no joke. He didn't know what would happened if he got hit.

"Well, what do you think? Don't worry, it won't kill you", Kyo grinned as he continued to shot his beams towards Hikari. The boy still trying to dodge. The beams that missed Hikari shot onto the ground and created craters. They continued like that for quite some while, until Kyo felt that his catalyst is starting to tire.

"Kyo! That wasn't funny!", Hikari yelled. "Fine, fine, I'll let you take a break", he then stopped and said to his catalyst, still with his mischivious look. "Listen, if you want to enable your power, you have to clear your mind and take up your courage to face your opponents. Do not scare and don't show any signs of hestitation. Let the power that I gave you flows through your body and thrash it out. Now, let's do it again."

"What exactly do you mean-", Hikari asked, but before he could sink in every words that his Entity said, Kyo has already carried out another surprise attack. With the flexibility of a basketball player, he can still easily dodge the beams, though he knows that Kyo didn't take it seriously even in the slightest. As he dodge, he remembered what Kyo just said earlier and stopped avoiding.

Kyo smiled, "You got it. Now show me", he thought as he shot out another beam at his catalyst. This time, Hikari didn't try to avoid, but instead, he closed his eyes as he felt the power flowing through him. When he felt that the beam was closed to him, he hold his right arm to the light. He closed his eyes shut for a few moments, but it didn't felt like he was being hit. When he reopened his eyes, he was surprised to see that a barrier was surrounded around him, shielding him from the light. "Wow...", Hikari said.

"Well done", Kyo stopped and walked to his Child. Hikari then lowered the barrier, "This is cool", he thought while feeling so proud of himself. When his Entity got to him, he punched Kyo in his arm. "Never do that again", Hikari said with a grumpy voice. Kyo giggled and patted his Child's head.

"Just a little warm up for today, you still have to practice if you want to master it but it was really a good start", Kyo said, "so how do you feel?"

"I feel... alive", Hikari looked as his palms, "it felt like it has been sleeping inside me all the time."

"Yeah, and now you got it", Kyo smiled, "from now on, you'll be the shield that protect us all from the enemy. Remember that, okay?"

"That's sound like one hell of a big duty", Hikari laughed, "but no hard feeling. I'm ready to face whatever challenges in front of us."

"It's good that you can think that. Now let's go, we've got jobs to do", Kyo said. Hikari nodded then the both of them make their ways to the church.

Miruka stood behind the pillar as he watched the white-hair girl was chasing after Serpent, she jumped down from the pillar to the Eastern side of the stage of the band who was performing there as people are began to cleared. As Serpent ran just behind the stage, the girl has pinned her down before she could makes any more moves.

The stage there was pretty close to where Miruka was standing, he still laying low while trying not to radiating too much aura. When the girl jumped, Miruka was able to glance at her before she landed behind the stage. "She's an Entity, no doubts. But why is she wearing the military uniform from the Sacred Drive?", he raised an eyebrom and thought, "but it doesn't matter, I should be back up in case something happened. Serpent isn't going to be an easy opponent."

With that, he took his katana from his backpack and using his enhancement on the sword. The sword then glowed the green-ish aura. Miruka stood still while holding the katana firmly, hoping that everything will be okay.

Kyo read carefully the paper which Izumi gave him earlier while leading Hikari to the church. Well, he wouldn't worry too much for now. Earlier, Hikari has came to his power, which mean asides from the ability to manipulate forcefield, he also have a passive ability that even Hikari himself didn't notice - Hikari can unconsciously created an invisible detector around himself and his Entity, which means if the Circus sent spies after him and got near them from a certain distance then they'll surely know. Kyo himself only needed to stay near his Child and he should be able to detect if the Circus was spying on him. Kyo is well-aware that he's probably a threat to them by now since his sister didn't show up much and his true potentials are still a mystery.

"I'm still curious, what do you suppose to do when we got to the church anyway?", Hikari asked while sweeping the sweat on his forehead, "let's be haste for now, the sun is scorching."

"Well, everyone has to had some secrets, wouldn't they?", Kyo smiled, "I've always keeping them as a mystery even with the rest of the Synchronicity, so far only my catalysts are the only people that ever knew them. You should be happy because I decided to share this with you."

"Oh yeah, how lucky am I?", Hikari grinned. Though he didn't admit it, Kyo has been quite one of the most mysterious people that he'd ever met. So far Hikari didn't hide any secrets with his Entity but he knows pretty much nothing about his Entity yet so he was kinda excited. Hikari was secretly felt happy because he can do something to help Kyo, it's the least thing that he can do to repay him for saving his life.

They walked across some avenues until they reached the district where the church was. There weren't a lot of people around here and it should be find for Kyo to do what he has came here for. After a short walk from a few more buildings, they reached the church which Izumi told.

"We're here", Kyo said, "Come, Hikari." This church was an abandoned church, although it looks wasn't very old. "There shouldn't anyone around here", Kyo thought. They then stepped onto the stairs and opened the door.

"I don't know there is such a nice holy place like this in the city, too bad it was abandoned", Hikari said as both of them walked into the church.

"Hikari", Kyo said, "do you believe in God?"

"Why did you ask me that all of a sudden?", Hikari questioned, "Well, I'm not a Christian, but I do believe that there is some kind of supreme beings behind the creation of this world. That's what I thought. So, are you going to take me to meet a God or something?"

"This is what I told you earlier, Hikari", Kyo turned to his Child and said, right now both of them are standing in front of the Cross.

"So what has to do with this?"

"This isn't exactly a real power, it just that throughout my life, I've been able to gain the "power" of prayers. It is somewhat complicated to explain though, but what can I just say it's that because of my nature as the highest Virtue of Synchronicity, Humility, I can total clear my mind when I'm standing on an absolutely quiet place and pray. For short, this is my refresh button. When my mind is cleared, I will be able to think more effectively. A lot of stuff has happened recently so I have to refresh myself to come up with something against our opponents.

Hikari nodded, though all of this stuffs seemed to be confusing with him. After he has sink in what Kyo just said, he asked, "Okay, I get it. But why do you need to go to a church?"

Kyo shrugged, "Just because this is the only place is quiet enough in this city. Besides, it is also a consecrated ground so there aren't any places better then this. Okay, I'll begin now, please be patient and wait."

Hikari nodded and stepped away from his Entity and came to sit at the chair. Kyo clasped his hand and closed his eyes as he began to chanting some sort of prayers. As he chanted, a light then appeared in front of him.

After some while, Kyo stood up and the light disappeared. Kyo then turned to Hikari and said to him with a smile, though his expressions have changed a bit, "All done. Let's go back."

But just as the moment that both of them stepped out from the church, Kyo immediately realized that they were being spied on. "So what I thought was right", Kyo thought. He closed his eyes to sensed where the spy was and then shot a beam of holy light towards a tree nearby. A familiar in the shape of an owl fell down from the tree. Kyo then went to the tree and investigated the familiar. Because it has been exorcised by Kyo's light, it quickly turned into dust and flew away with the wind. It could only mean one thing - HE has decided to act on the behalf of Kyo's sister.

"Alistair...", Kyo murmured.

Miruka widen his eyes when he sensed that Serpent was using her tunnels to escape. "Not so fast", he said as he jumped out, trying to caught her but her tunnel quickly disappeared. Although he can still feel her presence nearby. He looked up to the white-hair girl but he don't really know what to say. But he needs to focus on a more important matter right now is to find his counterpart who was slithering somewhere.

Miruka looked around, trying to sensed if Serpent is still around. The band's performance on the stage has finished. After he has searched for a while around the ground, he couldn't find any traces of his counterpart. Her tunnels had completely disappeared. He sighed while put his katana into its cover and put it back to his backpack, "Almost got her. No doubts she's going to report this to their leader."

"Three questions. First, who are you? Next, are you involved with that girl somehow? And last, why are you here? Depending on your answers, I might just have to fire, even if you are a Synchronicity member. So make sure you choose the right ones", the Entity girl said cautiously while aiming her gun at Miruka.

He turned his back and facing with her, glancing at her a moment, though he still keeping his calm posture. "So what I heard was true...", Miruka thought. Even though he was staying undercover, he still get in touch with Kyo to know what the situation is between both sides. So he pretty knows that some members on his side are having some sorts of conflict, which explains why the Entity who's standing in front of him right now is still beware of him even though they're allies. Miruka understood that from what he has seen from the wars.

"Woah woah wait, there's no needs of violence here", Miruka grinned while waved his hands to the girl. He has no intentions to fight anyone if it wasn't necessary, "You're asking too many questions at once, but still, I'm willing to answer them, just stop aiming at me as if I'm a criminal like that, kay?"

Then he straighthen himself up and answered, still with his gentle smile, "My name is Miruka, and you'd probably realized that I'm also an Entity, like you. I am Kindness. Nice to meet you", he then gave a bow to her, "and the reason why I'm here, well, I'm just passing by to get some stuffs that I needed, I've been staying undercover for quite sometimes and this is my first day out of my retreat in a long while. And as you know, the Serpent girl earlier was Envy and she's my counterpart. I was planning to take her down when I saw her but you've already taken care of her so I think it was for the best not to interrupt you, I have no idea that I'd encounter Serpent here."

Miruka then shrugged, "Too bad she got away though. Well, I think that's enough for an introduction. And you, young lady?", Miruka asked, hoping that he would gained her trust.

"Kyo, what is that?", Hikari went to his Entity and saw the figure was withered into dust.

"It's my sister's catalyst", Kyo said, "if he has decided to act, then it means troubles. Come, let's return to Izumi first then we'll figure out a way to counter them soon."

Hikari nodded and both of them made their ways back to Izumi coffee shop, the scorching sunshines had soften a bit. On his way, Kyo took out his phone and sent a text message to Miruka, "Miru-kun, have you got out from your undercover yet? Come and meet me at this coffee shop as soon as you received my message. Here's the address", Kyo typed out Izumi's address and sent the message.

Hikari saw that and turned to Kyo, "Hey, who did you text to?"

"An old friend", Kyo grinned, "You'll meet him soon. He's also an atheletic person like you so I think you both will get along."

"Wow, really? Then he must be really tall and buff", Hikari grinned gleefully. Ever since yesterday, it seems that anyone he met in their group was ridiculously attractive. "Is being an Entity and a catalyst also gave people the ability to have good looks?", he playfully thought. Still, he's still looking forward to meet new companions.

When they've reached Izumi shop, they entered the shop, the crowd now is lesser. "Hey Izumi-san, we're back", Kyo smiled and greeted her, then both Kyo and Hikari sat down, "okay, I've found out that Alistair, my sister's catalyst has decided to act. So now, we should find a way to counter against the Circus and be ready to face them at all time. Call Rin, when she's back then we can discuss about this together. I've also contact one of the Synchronicity's member who was staying undercover and he should be here soon."

Having heard the introductions of the Entity Kindness, Rin thought for a moment on what her reply should be. Though, she didn't really care too much about the Entity Envy being his counterpart. This is a war. There are no rivalries. Between each of them. He seems like a nice guy though. Nice enough to be trusted. But, as the Entity Patience said, there is no true distinction between good and evil for them.
"Right, just because we're from Synchronicity and they're from the other side of the fence, doesn't make us any less evil if we've involved civilians among our body count. Come on Rin, what would your predecessors do?" Rin tried to think of what to reply. As the Third Diligence, she doesn't know how her predecessors lived--hell, she haven't even met them personally. From the hidden room in his headquarters, Priam watched, anticipating how this would play out.

"When you feel lost about yourself, just remember that even if the whole world loses faith in you, I wouldn't. I trust your judgement. I trust whatever calls you choose to make."

"Aokigahara... You'll always have my back right? You trust my decision right? Then, to properly bring this to an end, I have made my decision." She lowered her firearm and steeled her resolve. Facing the Entity in front of her, she finally introduced herself.

"Alright Kindness... I am the Entity Diligence, and Ex-member of Synchronicity. My name is Rin. Rin Nakahara of the private armed organization Sacred Drive!" This is it. There was no turning back for her. She's already gone past the point of no return. "Unlike the Entity Envy, you didn't seem to have caused any trouble so I'll let you leave this place in peace. In accordance with the directives of Sacred Drive, we will not attack Entities unless they fire first."

Taking out the 686, she readied both firearms without pointing them at the boy. "Though if you wish to cross swords with me right now, I would be very welcome to accommodate you. So, will you choose to fight here? Or will you leave quietly?" Rin glared with a new fierceness in her eyes. From his room, Priam smirked at the turn of events.

"So you've decided to come back huh? Well then, I think an update is in order--" He booted up a database on his laptop, showing the list of the members of ALIAS, Sacred Drive's main assault division.

As of 1500 hours, ALIAS Operative #067 has returned.

"Rin..." Thanks to their telephatic link, Izumi managed to catch wind of everything. The appearance of the Entities Kindness and Envy, and Rin's decision to return to Sacred Drive. "So--is this where everything ends for us? Our partnership? Our friendship?" Izumi tried her best to hold back her tears. It is not healthy. Besides, Rin isn't the type of person who'll shoot her friends...even if they're already enemies. Smiling to herself, Izumi got up from the back room as she saw Kyo and Hikari return through the cameras. "Well, I'm still your Catalyst Rin. I'm with you through thick and thin."

"Okay, I've found out that Alistair, my sister's catalyst has decided to act. So now, we should find a way to counter against the Circus and be ready to face them at all time. Call Rin, when she's back then we can discuss about this together. I've also contact one of the Synchronicity's member who was staying undercover and he should be here soon."

She couldn't even focus on the other details that Kyo was divulging. All she could focus on was her current situation with her Entity. "Ahhh... I guess you seem to have a plan in order except for one small problem." Once she thinks she got their attention, Izumi continued. "Rin--won't be coming back to Synchronicity. She's already decided to return to Sacred Drive, her old group. And as her Catalyst, I can't abandon her. As her friend, I don't really want to. In the worst case scenario, we'll all end up fighting each other. Hehe...who would've thought things would turn out this way eh?" Izumi finally confessed everything, flashing the two a very sad smile.

As Nozomi reached a part where the sun doesn't seem to shine through the tall, decrepit buildings of downtown Friergate, he felt a presence following him. A soft, rustling of leaves, moving along with the wind gently. Turning around, he caught sight of a familiar figure. A lovely woman, dressed in simple and modest garb.
"Good afternoon Patience-san. Or do you prefer Leona?" Nozomi greeted sarcastically, the hostility in his tone apparent. They had met and crossed swords with each other, almost ten years ago.
"You haven't changed at all Nozomi. Heh, it is a fine afternoon for me, unlike yours, as far as I can tell." Leona smirked as she confronted the unknown Circus member. Nozomi tried to use his telepathy but was unsuccessful. "You can give up on it. You can only use that power to intercept telepathic communication. You can't use it to read minds."
"I know. Just making sure. So, what are you here for? As far as I know, I've always cleaned up after my mess." Nozomi talked back, not minding the obvious age difference between them. Leona walked closer to him and casually stroked his cheek.
"Nozomi Kannagi. The Entity of Sloth. The personification of missed opportunities, apathy and indifference. I have a deal I want to make with you."
"Too bad, you've got nothing on me. First, unlike other Sins, I don't kill. Next, even if you were to threaten me, I could easily fight back. Third, if you were the one to fire first, you're the one who's in the morally wrong by attacking a bystander."
"Heh, witty as always. No need to be so tense, this is simply a proposal. I want you to infiltrate Sacred Drive's headquarters at the Hyatt Building. Hack into it and erase any existing records of me. In exchange, I'll keep your existence a secret. Unlike me, there are others who would kill you on the spot without a second thought just because you're a Circus member."
"No. This personal vendetta has nothing to do with me. Clean up your own mess." Nozomi retorted back, keeping all of his emotions in check.
*Sigh...* "I knew this would be a difficult negotiation. Good thing I've made a small detour on the way back." Leona took out her phone and showed him a picture of Fumina, all tied up and unconscious.
"Fumina!"
"Oh? Is that anger I hear in your voice Nozomi? I might have found a weakness to that ice-cold heart of yours. This girl seems precious I see."
"Damn woman!" As soon as he flared up, cracks suddenly appeared on the ground. Leona merely chuckled and stroked his hair.
"Hehe, I don't need a reply right now. As you can tell, I'm very patient. You still have my number so just call me if you've made up your mind. Although...I may just use your little doll as a means of entertainment..." With that said, Leona left, leaving Nozomi alone in his anger.
"DAMN IT!!!"

Miruka stood while expecting some sorts of answer from the Entity girl. However, it seems that something is stirring inside her, Miruka can felt it. He is well-aware that anything can happens and there isn't anyone that you can't trust, unless you know that person as if you know yourself. After all, besides Kyo and Patience, he's also seen through the wars. For now, he has already let loose. He knows very well that even if he was attacked, then he can still be able to counter easily. But like usual, fighting isn't his first option.

The girl lowered her arm and introduced herself to Miruka, "Alright Kindness... I am the Entity Diligence, and Ex-member of Synchronicity. My name is Rin. Rin Nakahara of the private armed organization Sacred Drive!", Miruka can see clearly the seriousness in every words that Rin said. He widen his eyes in surprise, but still, he kept his calm posture as if it was nothing. He has seen many things throughout the wars and changing sides in a heart beat like that is one of them.

"Unlike the Entity Envy, you didn't seem to have caused any trouble so I'll let you leave this place in peace. In accordance with the directives of Sacred Drive, we will not attack Entities unless they fire first", the girl said. A new total serious look has appeared in her eyes, "Though if you wish to cross swords with me right now, I would be very welcome to accommodate you. So, will you choose to fight here? Or will you leave quietly?"

Miruka sighed after hearing what the girl have just said. Without a second thought, he knows that he will just leave here without causing anymore troubles, although he is well-aware that he won't lose that easily. He then turned his head and looked on at the girl's look. "Kyo was right, she's very determined and have her own strenght, though I can clearly see her naivety, and that is what will pull her behind", Miruka thought, "but I know that she can still grow up. Hoping that one day, we can be united."

Miruka then gave a gentle smile, "Well, I can already guessed that you're a part of the Sacred Drive according to the uniform that you're wearing. And I hope that you won't regret the desicion that you've made. From the first start, I don't have any intentions to fight you. Fighting to me is pointless and it is the option that I will choose only when I feel that I needed to."

He paused for a bit, and then continued, "I don't want to fight anyone, especially if they're on my side, or at least used to. Well, I think this is it. I wish you'll be happy even if you don't have any chances to turn back now. But for now, remember my word: Everything is not what it seemed, even if you think that what you're running after is what you want, just look back and see for yourself if that's really what you needed. That's what I wanted to said as an Entity that has seen through the wars."

With that, he turned his back and slowly walked to the entrance, "Hoping that we won't have to facing each other on the battlefield, Nakahara-san", Miruka said as he waved to her from his back.

When he left the mall and walking on the street, he thinks back to the earlier encounter, "After all, we still can't be united?", he sighed, "but no matter what, my belief will never changed. Please continue to guide me, father."

Suddenly, Miruka received a message. He took out his phone and read it. It was from Kyo. "Well, maybe today couldn't get any worse", he smiled and then headed to the address that his friend has sent.

Kyo and Hikari are still sitting in front of Izumi, though Kyo can see that her expression have changed. "What's happened?", Hikari asked.

"Rin--won't be coming back to Synchronicity. She's already decided to return to Sacred Drive, her old group. And as her Catalyst, I can't abandon her. As her friend, I don't really want to. In the worst case scenario, we'll all end up fighting each other. Hehe...who would've thought things would turn out this way eh?", Izumi said to them with a sad smile.

"What?", Hikari surprised, "how could she turned her head against us? And you, if you don't want to, then why can't you just break the contract-"

"Hikari", Kyo spoke up and interrupted before Hikari could speak any more words, "don't worry, everything will worked out", he smiled to his Child. Then he turned to Izumi, "Look, because Rin didn't become an Entity as the same time as I did so I don't truly understand her. She's still young but it is good that she can be determined like that. I won't judge her decisions and I respect the path that she has chosen."

Kyo then stood up, he is still calm like a wind as ever, "Well, I guess that we can't get to see each other again", he still smiled gently to her, "but remember that it is never too late to look back. Come, Hikari."

The boy kept silent because he just didn't know what to say. When he heard Kyo, he nodded and stood up, "It was nice knowing you, Izumi-san", Hikari gave her a smile and then went out of the shop with his Entity and both of them get into the crowd on the street.

"So, what now?", Hikari asked, "Even though you're the strong, you can't just facing the Circus all by yourself."

"There will always be a way, Hikari", Kyo smiled, "and I won't be alone. Trust me."

While they were walking, they came across with the most unexpected person. "Leona?", Kyo stopped as he encounter the woman who has also seen through the wars with him, "Well, I didn't expect to see you here. Care for a drink somewhere? There's something that I need to talk and I assumed that you did too", Kyo paused for a moment, "And first, sorry for what I said yesterday. Just trust me, we grown up pretty much alike together, so no one really know you more than I did."

Izumi watched as the two left her shop. Sighing to herself, she wondered what it was that spurred Rin to suddenly change her mind. Breaking the contract isn't an option for her and she doesn't really want to. Rin was still her friend, and friends stay true to each other. Besides, all they've got is each other.
"Yo Rin! I just want to ask: Why did you suddenly choose to return to Sacred Drive? Don't you like working with the other members of your group?" Izumi contacted Rin through their shared contract. She managed to get a reply earlier than expected.
"It's not as if I don't like any of them in the group. For a long time, Sacred Drive has ceased all activity. Sorry, everything's just too much to take in all at once. The sudden reappearance of Circus, the arrival of new Entities, Aokigahara's death. All of them seems connected somehow. Who knows? Maybe by staying with this group, I'll be able to find out more. Izumi, if you want to stay with the others, it's perfectly fine with me. I'll just look for--"
"A-ah! No, as I've said, I'm with you through thick and thin. I consider you as a sister now. And we stick out our neck for each other."
"Izumi--fine then. You know the shopping district I'm at right now? Meet me there. From now on, this will be our main base of operations."
"Gotcha!" Izumi broke off contact after that. She went to the back and gathered her stuff including the Spectre and the knives. Taking care not to leave her license, she jumped inside her car and drove off, to rendezvous with her Entity.

"May I ask what made you want to return at this point in time?" Priam asked through Rin's phone. It has been two hours since the Entity Kindness left the premises. Rin merely sat on one of the hidden benches, contemplating on the decision.
"Because I want to see for myself. How this war between non-humans is affecting normal humans. Besides, unlike the other members, I'm mostly still human." Rin simply answered smugly. "Although, if I determine that you are also causing problems, I won't hesitate to destroy you as well." Priam simply laughed at the statement.
"And how can we cause any more trouble? Most of ALIAS is retired, the organization is scattered. As it stands right now, you're the only active member we can command. You'll face both sides alone."
"Only if they fire first, as per the original intentions to establish this group." Priam stood up from his seat and walked closer to the large display on his monitor.
"We established the organization as a means to shelter and provide aid to people affected by the Synchro-Circus war. We were content with giving out relief at first but soon, one of the members of Circus started carrying out operations that can alter our own greatly. That member was, for a time, was our most wanted target: The First Wrath, Akito. Then there was Leona Rain Vincent, from Synchronicity. She wasn't attacking us head on but, she won't hesitate to include civilian body counts if it hinders her mission. That's why we also chose to retaliate. Show those Entities that there is still a fight left in us humans." Priam observed how Rin was still vigilant of her surroundings. "No need to be so tense. This is a densely populated mall. With the exception of Akito, no Entity in their right mind would choose to reveal themselves here."
"I'm not waiting for someone to fight. I'm waiting for the arrival of my Catalyst."

"So--you really did it?" Fumina asks her captor, Leona through the phone. She was playing on a separate phone while talking with another.
"Yes but, it wasn't easy. Oh! I win again." Leona remarked as she finished her round with Fumina. Fumina simply sighed and laid back on the soft carpeted floor. "Still, you're quite a sly fox, tricking your Master like that. You even made use of our abilities."
"Well, it's been a while since Master did anything with his time. Besides, Sacred Drive may cause additional trouble later on. I want to make sure nothing bothers us while we are still setting up. This is advantageous to you as well right?"
"Alright, then we'll both hold our ends of the bargain. See you." Leona put the phone down. This is the first time that she was asked to cooperate with an enemy. Still, Nozomi and Fumina aren't really the types to cause a lot of trouble. If anything, their inaction is the trait that troubles most of the other members.
Walking along the streets, she bumped into Kyo, the so-called leader of Synchronicity. Not to her though. No, to her, he was just another cog in the machine like them.
"Leona? Well, I didn't expect to see you here. Care for a drink somewhere? There's something that I need to talk and I assumed that you did too--And first, sorry for what I said yesterday. Just trust me, we grown up pretty much alike together, so no one really know you more than I did."
Ugh, Leona always hated when people assume they "know" her by experiencing some of the things she did. Still, he wasn't being a jerk so, she decided to give him a little chance to know her better.
"Alright, why don't we talk at the bar over there?" Leona replied, pointing to a nearby bar across the road. Once they were inside, she ordered herself a shot of vodka. "Now then, what do you want to talk about? If it's about the incident last night, just forget about it."

Before they headed to the bar, Kyo said to his Child, "Well, I needed sometime for myself though. Do you think you can head home by yourself?", he asked.

"Oh, no problem", Hikari replied, "I don't need anyone to babysit me, you know. I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself."

"Okay, I trust you", Kyo grinned to his Child while pulled out a knife from his pocket, "here, take this for self-defense. Try to stay out of troubles, kay?"

"Yeah, I know. Well", Hikari smiled as he took the knife from his Entity, "anything else you want to remind?"

"Ah, one more thing, if you happen to cross a man who is shorter than me a bit with an olive hair and he's wearing a necklace in the shape of a leaf than take him to your home with you and tell him to wait for me there."

"Huh?", Hikari wondered why Kyo asking that, but he has no reason to disobey his Entity, besides, this is a good chance to him to learn how to realize an Entity or a catalyst, "okay, if I come across him then I'll take him home. Well, see ya."

Hikari turned his back and went away. He was shortly nowhere to be seen in the crowd. Though it wasn't really safe, but Kyo believes in his Child. "Let's go", he said to Leona and both of them headed into the bar. When they sat on the counter, Kyo ordered a cup of whisky.

"Now then, what do you want to talk about? If it's about the incident last night, just forget about it", Leona asked.

Kyo took a sip from his drink and said, "Well before that, I know what you're thinking. As far as I remembered, I've never considered myself as a leader ever since I became an Entity. And I have no intentions to boss you guys around, okay? Just wanna clear that out."

Kyo then paused a bit and went straight to the main point, "Okay, first of all, I encountered Nozomi - the Entity of Sloth today at Izumi's coffee shop. Though he didn't do anything, I think he already knew that I was there. Luckily I did scare him off a bit with some tricks", Kyo giggled, "I must admit that in the Circus, I liked him the best, even though he never show himself much. Having someone like him as a brother might be fun. And when I'm on my way to do some of my jobs, I also found out that Alistair - Pride's catalyst has decided to act, so beware of him from now as you can always be spied on."

Kyo moved his finger around his glass, "And did you know what just happened today? The girl you fought yesterday has turned her back on us and she has gone back to her former group, Sacred Drive. Heh, it's funny how things have turned out. And you were right, she's a real fighter, but still young and naive", he then straighthen himself up and finished his drink in one sip, "We should be ready for the Circus at anytime. I know that working with someone is the last thing that you'd do. But this is about survival and we have to grab any chances we've got to win this. In the end, we will just go on with diffrent ways, won't we?"

He stretched his arms, "Well, that's all, I guess. I will discuss this with Miruka when I'm back to my Child's home. And you, did you happen to come across with anything lately? And what are you going to do about Rin? If you need any help then feel free to contact."

Miruka was walking, but it seems that he was kinda lost. "Ugh, haven't got out for a long time and now I got lost, how great is that?", he sighed. As he walked, he came across with a cute blue hair boy. "Hey, can you show me where this coffee shop is? I'm kinda lost...", Miruka showed the address, his insigna was visibly seen as it shining under the daylight.

The boy stared at Miruka which confused him a bit. Now that he is concentrate, he can felt an aura from the boy. Though this is more like the aura from a catalyst rather than an Entity.

"You're... Kyo's friend, right?", the boy asked. Miruka was quite surprised to hear that. "Yes, I am. A-Are you his Child?"

The boy nodded confusedly. Miruka then grinned and ruffled the boy's head. "Wow, Kyo was right about you. You ARE really cute", Miruka then straighthen himself up, "Well, my name's Miruka Hiroyuki, the Entity of Kindness. And you?"

"I-I'm Hikari Mizuhara. I've just became his Child yesterday. Nice to meet you", Hikari's face suddenly turned red, "oh, before I forgot. Kyo asked me to take you to my home and waited for him there."

"Didn't he tell me to come to this shop?", Miruka looked at his phone, "oh well, I guess the plan has changed. Okay, lead the way, I'm coming with you", he smiled softly.

Hikari still blushed a bit, "His smile is really nice...", he thought while make his way back to his apartment along with the Entity.

"Well before that, I know what you're thinking. As far as I remembered, I've never considered myself as a leader ever since I became an Entity. And I have no intentions to boss you guys around, okay? Just wanna clear that out."

"Well, you've pretty much established that by your actions. Still, unless someone steps up as a leader in this group, we won't get far against Circus. I'm not talking about motivational leaders. I'm talking about organization, strategy, tactics--that kind of leader." Leona paused to sip her vodka as she let Kyo continue.

"Okay, first of all, I encountered Nozomi - the Entity of Sloth today at Izumi's coffee shop. Though he didn't do anything, I think he already knew that I was there. Luckily I did scare him off a bit with some tricks. I must admit that in the Circus, I liked him the best, even though he never show himself much. Having someone like him as a brother might be fun. And when I'm on my way to do some of my jobs, I also found out that Alistair - Pride's catalyst has decided to act, so beware of him from now as you can always be spied on."

"Well, Sloth himself isn't too much of a danger to society. In fact, his very nature prevents him from being a dangerous presence." Leona suddenly heard the part of him wanting Nozomi as a brother. She found it weird since, even though Nozomi and Fumina were fun to play around with, Leona never considered wanting them on her side. "As for Alistair, that guy is dangerous. He's been the Catalyst of the last two Entities of Pride. When an Entity dies, the powers remain with their Catalyst. With the amount of power he's accumulated now, he may be even stronger than the current Pride."

"And did you know what just happened today? The girl you fought yesterday has turned her back on us and she has gone back to her former group, Sacred Drive. Heh, it's funny how things have turned out. And you were right, she's a real fighter, but still young and naive. We should be ready for the Circus at anytime. I know that working with someone is the last thing that you'd do. But this is about survival and we have to grab any chances we've got to win this. In the end, we will just go on with diffrent ways, won't we?"

"Young and naive eh? I'm not too sure. Seeing the realities of war, standing by a decision like that is a very mature thing to do. Besides, if it wasn't for Synchronicity and Circus, Sacred Drive won't have existed. They've stopped operations when the last war ended but, that may change as time passes by. Still--" Leona finished her first glass and orders another one as she continued talking with Kyo. "That armed group isn't really an evil presence. Diligence--I mean Rin, is still rather human compared to me. I guess she sees this war the same way a civilian does. Unjustified and evil. A battle fought simply because they differ in ideals. Kyo, you don't really know much about Sacred Drive do you? They're a humanitarian group, providing aid and relief to those whose lives were shattered by the war. In fact, this city was rebuilt again, thanks to their efforts." Leona paused before carrying on. "I'm prepared for Circus' attacks anytime. I've been preparing for it since two years ago. And you're wrong, this isn't always about survival. Some of us and some members of the Circus all have ideals they strive for; ideas that they believe are worth dying for. That's what I've learned throughout the years. Fighting as a group is fine with me but, if you do not want the responsibility of a leader, find someone to organize our moves before calling my aid again. I'd rather fight with the assurance that our battles will be quick, fast and efficient."

"Well, that's all, I guess. I will discuss this with Miruka when I'm back to my Child's home. And you, did you happen to come across with anything lately? And what are you going to do about Rin? If you need any help then feel free to contact."

"Rin's decision is her own. While it is true that I fought her a few nights ago, I'm not really intending to kill her. I still have an obligation to fulfill to her, even if she's not aware of it herself. If you want to actively hunt her down and kill her then I'm sorry but, I'm taking her side. So do not make any hasty decisions yourself, lest you want this group to grow further apart because we can't respect each others' individual decisions." Another drink. She must have consumed around three by now. No worries though, she won't get drunk. "I haven't encountered anything thus far. You've been calling most of your friends, I see. Well, I'll be around in case you need me. Have a good night, Kyori Akiharu."

As the night deepens, Nozomi infiltrated the confines of the Hyatt Building. It was a large, 75 floor office right in the heart of the city. It was built to provide housing for the refugees of the past Synchro-Circus war. Blowing it up wasn't an option.
"All right, which one of the rooms contain their computer database?" He thought as he scanned the floor map. A guard quickly approached him and asked his purpose.
"Me? I'm the head software developer in this place. If you don't mind, could you please escort me to the computer room? I don't want anything bad to happen to me while I'm on my way there." Nozomi answered back as he stared at the guard's eyes intently. The hypnosis worked and the guard escorted him up to the 56th floor. Getting off, he relieved the guard who went away to perform his daily rounds. Checking out the computers, he booted up Leona's file and deleted it, along with his own.
"Got it. Now, I hope Leona holds her end of the bargain. Otherwise, she'll know what's coming for her." Nozomi managed to leave the building without much incident. He also made sure that none of the cameras caught him. Making his way to his home, he was visibly surprised when he opened the door to see Fumina sitting on the floor, waiting for him.
"Ah! You're back early!" Fumina greeted, a worried smile on her face. Throwing his coat on the ground, Nozomi literally exploded.
"Do you want me to kill you right now?! What kind of game do you think you're playing at, messing around with an opposing Entity?!"
"Relax, I just did it to get rid of the trace on us. I've been nagging you about it for two years now! When you didn't want to take action, I had no choice but to use well--underhanded measures..ehehe..."
"Well, I guess this was a good distraction--and a change of pace for a while. Still, I wonder who that girl was?" Nozomi recalled the white haired girl he met. She looked an awful lot like Yuria. "Hey Fumina?"
"Yes?"
"Do you think reincarnation is true? Think about it: No scientific fact had ever disproven it, several people claimed to have caught sight of their past life and then there's deja vu. What do you think?"
"You're asking me? A doll who's only received knowledge parallel to a third-year high school girl about a topic like reincarnation? Are you feeling okay Master? Do you feel sick? Are you gassy? I think it's gas." Fumina suddenly stopped teasing when she saw Nozomi just lie down with his back on the wall, looking a little sad. She turned off the TV and sat next to him.
"Master, I don't think it's bad if you believe. But, can't you really get over the past? Do you still regret that opportunity you missed until now?"
"I don't know. I don't know why. I just can't stop thinking about it. Is this fate's way of giving me another chance? Is it possible to fall for a total stranger, just because she looks like someone else?"
Both Master and Servant spent time just huddled up with each other throughout the cold night. Because in this gray world, all they've really got was each other. Fumina, the Servant, understands this well--even though she wasn't sure if her Master does.

"Rin's decision is her own. While it is true that I fought her a few nights ago, I'm not really intending to kill her. Kyo kept silent for a while and sink in every words that Leona said. Yeah, it seems that even though he has seen many things, yet he still have many things to learn in this long, lonely immortal life. But no matter, he accepts he still has flaws and that is what will make him stronger.

"It seems that even though I've went through a lot, yet I still need to learn. But yeah, due to my nature, all of those fighting stuffs aren't really fit me, I think. I couldn't be strong and determined like you, and I'm well-aware that I'm not a real leader at heart though", Kyo paused and call for another drink, "but thanks, for telling me what to do though. And about Rin, don't worry, I respect her decisions and I believe what she did is right. Maybe it is because that I've seen the Sacred Drive killed Miruka so I didn't really have a very positive look about them, but as you said, they're humans after all and like us, they did have a reason to stand up for themselves. So I think I'll give it a try. Well, I don't know if Rin would ever come and find you after this, but I hope you both will sort whatever problems you two have out. I don't have any intentions to find her or eliminate her, and I believe that no one would so don't worry about that. I understand that everyone have their own desires and their own reasons to thrive. That's what I thought and just know that I'm always respect whatever decisions that you guys made, now it is up to all of you to put aside all of your egos and stand up together."

"I haven't encountered anything thus far. You've been calling most of your friends, I see. Well, I'll be around in case you need me. Have a good night, Kyori Akiharu."

"You're such a dangerous woman, you know that?", Kyo giggled, "I will see what I can do for now. If I found out about anything, I'll let you know. It seems that I can't run away from my responsibilty anymore. So, see you around too, Leona Rain Vincent."

Kyo finished his drink and then stood up and make his way out from the bar. He knows that he finally have to act by now. So he looks on at a tall building at the district nearby. "This is it, there's no time to lose now", he thought with a determined smile

He made his way back to his Child's apartment, luckily Hikari has gave him the spare key. He opened the door to the apartment and walked in. "I'm back", Kyo said out loud. Just as the moment he stepped in, the first thing he saw is that Miruka was sitting on Hikari's sofa.

"Kyo-chin", Miruka said gleefully with a big grin on his face while ran from the sofa and hugged Kyo, which almost caused them to fell down, "do you realized how much I missed you?"

"Woah woah", Kyo chuckled and replied, "you're all over the place, you know that? It wasn't THAT long."

"Well, but I haven't meet you for quite some while", Miruka let go of Kyo and said, "though there are already so much troubles, I'm happy that I met you again. Finally we can actually do something together. I really miss that, you know?"

"Yeah yeah I know, stop making a scene like that", Kyo smiled, "okay, where's my Child?"

"I'm here, oniisan", Hikari spoke from the kitchen, "I'm just feeding Mizu. Just go on without me."

Kyo shrugged, "Oh well, sit, and we'll talk."

After some while, Kyo has told Miruka everything that he and Hikari has been through today. The olive hair boy could only nodded, though it seems that he was worried a bit.

"So you encountered both Rin and Serpent today?", Kyo asked.

"Yep, but I'm still in one piece. Happy?", Miruka playfully said.

"It seems that this is truly the time that I have to step up", Kyo looked up to the ceiling and said.

"So, what is your plan?"

"Are you still keeping the map the from headquarters of the Circus back when you infiltrate it in the second war?"

"Yep, always carrying with me", Miruka said as he pulled out a USB, "but what for?"

"You'll see. For now, just stay put and back me up", Kyo said. Miruka didn't really understand what his friend is up to, but he could only follow it for now.

Night falls.

Kyo and Miruka had had a great time together along with Hikari at his house. Though it was just a short period of time, they really did enjoy it even though they know that soon enough, they'll have to fight for their lives. After their dinner, Hikari invited Miruka to stay for the night, which he gladly accepted. When Hikari has said goodnight for the two, he went to his room, leaving behind two Entities.

"He's a sweet boy, I must say", Hikari complimented, "my Child is also a nice girl too. Too bad I've lost contact with her."

"So even though you and your catalyst are apart, she's still decided to keep the contract?"

"Yeah, I don't know why, but that's okay, I want her to continue to live on a normal life. So many people has already affected by the wars, we should end this once and for all", Miruka looked up the roof and said, "so, are you ready?"

"Do I ever?", Kyo giggled, even though he knows that he'll go on a mission, he still keeping his calm posture, "Come, let's go to my room."

They both stood up and went to Kyo's room. Miruka sat on his bed as he pulled out his laptop from his backpack. "It's been a long while, eh? I really did miss this."

"Tell me about it", Kyo reached to his own backpack and pulled out another scarf just like the scarf he is wearing, "in case you forgot, this is the scarf which I've specially enhanced. As long as I'm wearing it, it'll completely hinder my aura and no Entities should be able to feel my presence, unless they really focus."

"Yeah, I remember", Miruka chuckled, "so why didn't you just wear it earlier?"

"I don't think it was necessary", Kyo said as he put on the scarf, "let's begin now. Remember to back me up carefully, okay?"

"Did I ever disappoint you?", Miruka playfully responsed, "here, I've installed the cracking program in your phone. Do you remember how to hack?"

"I'm not that forgetful, you know", Kyo took his phone from Miruka, "well, see ya later, Miru-kun."

"Good luck, Kyo-chin", Miruka smiled and said to his friend. Kyo then opened the window and jumped out to the tree next to it and slid down to the ground. He began to ran and made his way to the Circus' headquarters in a district nearby. The moon is shining brightly today and there weren't a lot of people on the street now. A perfect night for an infiltrate mission.

After a while, Kyo has made it to the building. It is a ten-floor building looking just as normal as any other building in this city, though Kyo is well-aware that this is truly the earthly headquarters of the Sinner's Circus. "This is it, Sinner's Circus, here I come", he thought and smiled a determined smile.

He sneakily passed through the wall and went straight into the emergency exit nearby. The door was locked by an auto-lock. "You're making this too easy...", Kyo thought as he pulled out his phone and a wire. He then connected his phone with the lock and started to hacked. After somewhile, he managed to unlock the entrance pretty effortlessly. He put on his speaker. With that, he dialed Miruka, "I've found my way into the mother loathe. Now it's your turn."

Back in Kyo's room, Miruka answered excitedly, he really love to back up his members on missions like this. "Got it", he turned on his laptop, "let the fun begin", he thought. Through some installment and hacking, he managed to got the position of Kyo on the map and was able to control every cameras in the building and the screen is looking like a CCTV. "It should be clear from the position you're standing, there shouldn't be any guards there. Make your way to the second floor by the stairs nearby, remember not to make a scene."

Kyo nodded and followed exactly what his friend said. His steps were swift and silent and he cautiously looking around if there are anyone patrolling. From then on, Miruka instructed and watching every movements that Kyo made. They worked together in perfect harmony and Kyo has managed to pass through every guards that were patrolling the building.

"You almost reached the 7th floor by now, that is where the information room situated. There's a guard was walking near where you're standing. Hide in a pavement near there and waited until he's gone and you're free to run on the stairs."

Kyo nodded and hide away. When the guard is gone, he made his way to 7th floor. "I'm here, are there anyone around?", he asked through the speaker.

"Nope, the information room should be on your left. Explore a bit and you'll find it. Get the information and get outta there. I'll be coming there shortly too."

He then swiftly walked to his left and find the room, but just as he was going to opened it, he felt a presence was coming at himm and no doubt this is from an Entity. "Kyo-chin, don't go in there yet! Someone is inside", Miruka warned. Just as the door opened, Kyo managed to hide in a corner near there by the skin of his tooth. Because it was dark so Kyo didn't realize who it was. After that person has gone, he went into the information room. "I made it", Kyo chuckled.

"Looks like after a long while, your skill hasn't got rusted at all, Kyo-chin", Miruka said, "okay, I'm coming there. Check if there are any information about their motives and got out."

"Got it", Kyo said then turned off the speaker. He turned to the computer which is still left on. He sat down and began to checked the contain of the files inside. There are nothing particular there except for some files that Kyo thinks that it maybe useful. He copying the files to his phone. When he finished, he pulled out the wire and put his phone back to his pocket. He was intended to leave by then.

Suddenly, he felt that someone is returning to the room. Without a moment to lose, he opened the window near there and jumped into the balcony on a lower floor and jumped back on the ground. Kyo landed gracefully and quickly got out of there. "Phew, that was close", he said as he swept the sweat on his forehead. It seems that his undercover mission was successful. He began to run back until he came across with Miruka.

"Did you manage to find anything?", Miruka asked.

"Yeah, I will explain later. Right now, we have to make our ways to our own basement first."

"Heh, it's also been a while since the last time we went there, didn't we?", Miruka laughed.

Kyo nodded and then both of them began to made their way into an old, abandoned street in the remoted area of the City. But just as they're on their way, they caught sight of another two person who are also radiating Entities' aura. Though this presence must be from the ones that are from their side. Kyo quickly realized one of them is Patience - Leona Rain Vincent.

"Well, it seems that it was quite a coincidence to bump into you twice a day, Leona-oneesan", Kyo chuckled while both of them went to the two. Miruka regconized the man who was standing next to Leona, "I think I know you. You're Masenai Autoro, the Virtue of Charity, right? I'm Miruka Hiroyuki, Virtue of Kindness. Nice to meet you", he smiled and gave them a bow.

"I've been thinking about what you said earlier, Leona, and I know that I have to step it up to my responsibility. So tonight, I've went and collect some information about our opponents. And I am well-aware that both me and Miruka here are not the perfect type of tacticians and fighters at heart, due to our nature. But it doesn't mean that we're useless. And now, we need help from veterans like both of you. So, will you agree to help us?", Kyo said to the both.

Masenai paused in his mantra of testing the humans as a woman came up to him. Actually, he felt her coming, her aura was that strong. He silently smiled as she spoke. "Hello Patience. We may have crossed paths before but I am uncertain." He said to the woman as he flipped his cup around with one finger. "To answer your first question, I have many, as you say, skeletons in the closet. But it's best they stayed out of sight for me. For I would then be lost in a sea of memory, and remember numerous times of battle and strife."

He was about to answer her second question, when he heard two other virtues coming. From the way they sounded to him, they were greenhorns. Naive, simple, over eager, greenhorns. One actually began to address him by title and name! He sighed and drew to his full six feet of height and approached Kindness first. "First off, never under any circumstances say your full name and title in public like that, again. No one knows who else may be watching, or listening." he stated as he moved his shoulders in a slight stretching motion.

"Now you, Mr. Info gatherer. Did you really get the info? Or did you just get the humans info of them? Subtle differences, Sky Head. And as for my help, I only act when I am needed. You do not know better about the wars. The endless cycle of Good and Evil. You may know of me, but you do not know me. I'll be searching for a more quieter place for me to observe humanity now. Thank you." he then turned and started walking but he motioned for Leona to follow in an invitation to come if she wishes.

"I better hope Kiku isn't getting into any trouble...."

------

Robin's eyes brightened at Rion's invitation to buy him a drink. "Really?! Oh you're an Angel!" he shouted enthusiastically. He was happy to hear that he would finally quench his thirst in the heat. "I promise to pay back every penny! I double promise on me grave!" he gave an almost traditional bow of gratitude his mother taught him.

Kyo and Miruka listened Masenai's "lecture" in silent. When the man turned his back, Kyo turned to his friend and nodded. There usual calm posture has changed and something are stirring in them.

"I see", Kyo said with a serious tone, "so in the end, you're just like the rest."

"I'm sorry, but my title is Kindness, not Maturity", Miruka said with a serious look, "I am fully aware that we can always be spied on."

"Since no Entites we came across wants to be united as what they called "Synchronicity", then fine, there will be no such thing as Synchronicity from now on. We should just continue with our own fights until this very war end. If there are no lines between of what you called as Good and Evil, then we will make one", Kyo smirked challengingly, "you think that we're just a bunch of greenhorns, but that is how we fight, and I don't think we understand the ways that you fight."

With that, both Kyo and Miruka jumped onto the balcony of a house nearby and then jumped onto the roof of it, looking down at the two, "If you never truly understand the true meaning of sacrifice, then please, you're just as naive as us", Miruka said. Before turning their backs and got away, Kyo said, "It seems that we can't work with each other, so there are no reasons for us to meet again. Still, if you want, then after all of this has done, find us and we shall decided between the "Maturity" and the "Naivety", who'll won. Have a good night."

Then they jumped to the roofs of the other buildings and quickly got out of sight. They then headed back to Hikari's apartment as they decided that since there were only two of them now, they should just let there basement as it is. On the way, Miruka asked, "Do you think we've made the right choice?", he sighed, "in the time we needed Chastity here to united us the most, she didn't turn up. The fate must be playing with us."

"We've never meant to be like that, but there are no other ways to turn back now", Kyo said calmly, "They were right. We've been taking it too lightly and now it's time to step it up, even if it means that we have to face anyone that opposed us by our own."

"I'm with you, Kyo-chin", Miruka smiled as they reached their destination. "I guess I should headed back to my place and see the information by myself, hopefully that we'll find something useful", Miruka said as they stood on top of Hikari's apartment, "may I borrowed your phone for the night?"

"Sure", Kyo handed his phone to Miruka, "Well, sleep well, Miru-kun."

"You too, Kyo-chin", he grinned and gave Kyo a friendly hug then went straight to his own home. Kyo jumped down to the tree and went into his room through the window. That is enough for tonight.

"Tsk! So much for being a veteran...losing your cool like that is--" Leona sighed at this revelation. She does understand that they have good intentions but, most of their ways are too rash. Fortunately, Leona was used to dealing with conflicts like this, as the Entity of Patience. She spoke up, a lone feminine voice among the three males.
"If you don't mind, could you tarry a little?" Leona called out to Masenai who was about to leave. Turning to all three of them, she finally spoke up. Taking three darts infused with her blood, she threw it in three directions, obscuring their auras and letting them be ignored by ordinary passerby.

"Alright, first off, Kyo, Miruka--you've been acting too rashly. Let me explain how a war is truly won. You can't win this war just by annihilating the enemy alone. You must also garner the support of the country--no, in this case, city's populace. At this point, the normal population do not know the distinction between Synchronicity and the Circus. If we were to attack first, then the population would see us as the ones who is morally wrong. It's hard but we must face the facts as of now. The Circus hasn't done anything too detrimental to society aside from a few problems here and there. So, hypothetically, what if we destroy all of Circus by attacking first? Then the populace would turn against us, causing only an endless cycle of misery and strife." Leona paused to catch her breath before continuing.

"There is a way to defeat them but we must wait. We must also place restrictions on how much are we going to let our emotions dictate our actions. In battle, one must only exert enough power to make the enemy lose the will to fight. Any less and your side loses. Any more and new chaos will bloom. The thing is, while many understands this fact, there are also a lot who don't."

"Since no Entites we came across wants to be united as what they called "Synchronicity", then fine, there will be no such thing as Synchronicity from now on. We should just continue with our own fights until this very war end. If there are no lines between of what you called as Good and Evil, then we will make one."

"Good and evil. Connected to what I said earlier. There is no such thing as truly good nor truly evil. It all depends on how society perceives it. A society of cannibals will perceive cannibalism as good yes? Same thing here. Believe it or not, there are reasonable members among Circus which, if they choose to reveal themselves, may even command the sympathy of the people. There is a Circus member who doesn't kill, which is viewed as good by the people. This is what's making this whole affair difficult. There is no black and white. Everything is a vast expense of gray. Circus is capable of doing good, in the same way as Synchronicity is capable of doing evil." Pause. She looked at each of them in the eye.

"It's not as if we do not want to be united. It's just that most of us have seen enough of this endless warfare and we've lost a lot of comrades. None of us wants to bear that pain again. Individually, yes, we are weak. As a group, yes, we are stronger. But, Circus does have a strong bond as well, which they've proven time and time again. For an analogy, how many of Synchronicity's founding fathers remain? Aside from me, there's only Charity maybe. Compared to three amongst Circus. I myself, have only been successful in killing the First Wrath and even then, it was no easy feat. It takes time and careful consideration. We're at a point where the risks far outweighs any sign of reward." She wanted to say more but the two have decided to turn around and leave as well. Feeling slightly frustrated and disappointed, she turned to Masenai.

"You don't suppose my words reached them at all do you?"
