There are many words to describe Jude, however the one thing he is consistently, is dependable. Honest, Jude is fearless, handling any crisis with a cool head. To his crew, and to the world in general, Jude is the epitome of a collected individual, versatile in that he is both able to follow instructions, and lead. Often seen as reserved or tight lipped, the man knows how to keep his silence when he must, making him a reliable confidante. He is also tenacious and determined, often obsessing over his goal to a dangerous point. Regardless, Jude is a steadfast ally, and a dangerous enemy, as he often holds grudges and never forgets a wrongs done to him. He is far from the warmest of people, and can appear distant at times, though has a cool black humour who only a few are allowed to enjoy. To those he is fond of, he is a stubborn friend, but also one to be counted on, though friendship can be difficult to attain with him as he has a tendency to hide his emotions behind a calm shell.

Born in Moscow, Jude was the eldest of a large family. His slip of a mother had three boys, and six girls, and as his parents were relatively poor, living on the outskirts of the city, his mother and father were resigned when Jude was only at the age of six, to give two of their children away to his father's brother and his wife. Jude and his sister, Elizabet, were given away and sent to live in the cold North of Russia on a farm, void of other children or even neighbours. The two siblings grew up close, and as the years passed with the care they were given just on the right side of neglect, all contact with their family began to fade. Given only a dog as his alternative companion to his sister, Jude learned to care for himself young. Soon, it was Jude and Lizzie and Fen, the dog, against the world. Every day for school, the two children had trekked two hours, often through snow and sleep, to receive their education. Lizzie cherished her education, whereas Jude, growing bitter at the world, started to become the 'troublemaker'. With no heed for rules, or even his aunt and uncle, Jude was somewhat of a feral child.
Skipping school became the norm. Jude wandered the town the school was situated in, stealing and vandalising. All went well, until one day, when he was just 14, he was caught. Jude had been walking past the only comic book store in town every day, his eyes and desire set on one comic. The day he stole it, was the first day he was caught. His uncle, seemingly calm and collected, picked him up from the store where he'd been kept, and paid for the childish book. Then he took Jude home and he beat him for the trouble he'd caused. Thrown across his uncle's knees as he was mercilessly punished, Jude was forced to stare down at the comic that had caused the trouble. Bitter, he refused the tears that blurred his vision, staring at the astronaut figure on the front. Lizzie, too afraid to be beaten herself, refused eye contact with her brother, and his dog was the boy's only solace.
From that day forth, Jude studied hard. He caught up easily with his sister, burying his teenage angst in his homework and farm chores. He excelled at maths, physics, biology, physical education, languages. He studied hard, and kept his dark head down. But this only really capped the dull anger that burned inside the teen, until one day for the first time in years, he defied his uncle by going to a party. Sneaking out, and creeping through the snow for an hour to get to the destination, Jude's thoughts were fixed upon the anger that raged inside him from what felt like a liftetime of bullying. That party is the only night of his life he can't remember. The next morning, the 18 year old returned home, his neck smeared with shades of lipstick that wasn't his own, his black hair messy and sticky. His breath stank of alcohol, and he'd lost a shoe. When he returned home, his uncle was beyond angry. Taking his rampant charge aside, he rose a fist, and beat him for what felt like hours.
Then came Fen, his muzzle whiskered with grey, snarling as he tore at Jude's assailant. He'd only bitten and pulled his uncle aside when there was a resounding, echoing bang, and his aunt shot his dog. Finally noticing the black and blue that coloured his nephew's face, and the blood on his knuckles, his uncle stepped back and left the young man there. The next week, Jude left with no warning except for a scrawled note to his sister.
The army was far kinder to the boy than his family had ever been. The incredibly intelligent young man blossomed in the army, taking any training courses he was offered and rising quickly through the ranks. Soon, he was leading small missions, studying all the time. He visited his little sister once, to find her just a wraith of a woman stuck caring for an alcoholic uncle. Fighting with her only served to make the man more bitter.
Everything went well for him, until he turned 30, and was given the task of leading a small group through a routine mission. Then it all went wrong. They were ambushed. Jude was caught, captured and once more beaten, before he and his remaining team were rescued. After that, the nightmares started. He was forcibly removed from duty and 'encouraged' to see a therapist in order to be of use once more. Then, somehow, he got the call. Two years later, after two years of inactivity and furious brooding, he was given the mission of a lifetime.

Jude also has a variety of scars. The most noticeable are a series of fine white lines on his left forearm. He also has a clear gunshot scar on his left shoulder. On his right lower leg, he has a large scar that curls around his calf. There is also a horizontal scar on the side of his neck, and three parallel scars on his lower back.

Brief Appearance Description
At 5'11, Jude is rather tall, with a lithe, but toned muscular frame that talks of hours spent working out. He has many tattoos, as well as scars, and a deep, crystalline blue stare that can be more than a little intimidating. His hair, often messy when not tamed with a small amount of hair product, is completely black at a stark contrast to his eyes. He can often be seen with a light covering of stubble on his chin, though it just serves to appear rugged.
