Personality:
First and foremost, Mariposa is certainly one of the more bubbly individuals one could encounter. She's a naturally excitable person. She's naturally kind, as well, with almost nothing bad to say about anyone (except for Weapons and Meisters... See 'Bio'). She tries her best not to cause any kind of harm to anyone, physical or otherwise. It's in her nature to be considerate and generous with others. Mari finds it difficult to be angry for very long, and it would take copious amounts of effort on someone's part to get on her bad side. It would almost be safe to say that she doesn't even have a bad side. Almost. As aforementioned, it would take a lot to get Mari to stay mad at something for more than about five minutes. Even run-of-the-mill bullying doesn't really bother her as much as it probably should. She's much too forgiving to stay angry for long. Mari is very playful, almost to the point of it becoming bothersome at times. Her friendliness oftentimes causes her to try to engage others in any way she can. Likewise, if she does not get a reaction, she'll get bored quickly, and probably leaver her potential companion alone... for the time being. As a witch, she doesn't actively try to hide the fact. She's more than proud of the fact, and will gladly flaunt it, even around hostiles. She was raised to believe that not all witches are diabolical beings, and thus being one is nothing to be ashamed of unless they have chosen to walk the path of evil. As such, she's adamantly against the stereotype that witches are evil, and the witches out there that give that stereotype backing. Because of what she was brought up to believe, she tries her hardest to be as delightful a person as she can.

Bio:
Mariposa spent most of her childhood with her mother, and her mother alone. She never really knew who or where her father was, but that never really concerned her. She had her mother, and with her, she had been happy. They lived off of a desert oasis for around the first ten or so years of Mari's life, which, as she could also attest, were the happiest years of her life. Every so often, her mother would leave the safety and comfort of the oasis, never for longer than a night or so, leaving Mariposa by herself. She never told her daughter where she would go on these nights, and Mari only dared to ask once. When she did, her mother replied, "To convene with my sisters, and better your future." Now, although she had no idea what that meant whatsoever, Mari figured, even at that young age, it was something that she would learn more of in due time.
Except she never had the chance. There was one night, Mari had just barely turned eleven years old, when their quiet, serene oasis home was disturbed by an intrusion, a fatal invasion. Just prior to this, she was made to shrink into her smaller form and made to utilize Soul Protect before hidden by her mother in a patch of ferns. As her mother left her there, Mariposa did not know that that would be the last time she saw her loving mother alive. It had been a posse of Meisters and their Weapons that had tracked down her mother with the intent of killing her, for reasons that Mariposa still does not know to this day. She did not have a great vantage point as the battle unfolded, but all she knew was that her mother had fought with all her power, but in the end, it had not been enough. her mother had perished, and there had been nothing she had been able to do but watch and listen as it happened. When it was over, and the agents had begun searching the scene, Mariposa was able to survive and remain hidden by staying in her "Fairy Form", and keeping herself secluded amongst the foliage of the oasis with Soul Protect in effect, although it had been difficult to remain totally silent in her grief. Eventually, they had left the area, and when Mariposa crawled out to look for her mother's body, she found nothing but the wreckage of her damaged once-paradise. From that point onward, deeply shaken in the sorrow of her loss, she has decided to make it her life goal to create a safe world for her fellow witches, so that hiding and plotting will no longer be necessary, and, oh yes, destroy the DWMA for slaughtering her mother for what she believes to be no reason at all.
