""Give it time, you'll learn love me."
Lieutenant Commander Cohen is all but intolerable around people who don't know him well. He's cocky, arrogant, flirtatious, stubborn, and always joking. That's putting it lightly, too. To those that do know him, he's a little more tolerable. He makes a hell of a friend and ally, and he's fun to have at parties. His sense of humor can be tolerated, even welcome among friends. His constant merriment is contagious, and his fondness of the drink keeps him in a good mood despite the current events. He loves a good fight, and is always on the front lines when it comes to battles. If someone angers him, or he angers someone else, he isn't afraid to fight them. Although Jake is the L.C. of the ship, he doesn't do well commanding others. He mostly lets them do what they want, but when they get into fights, he'll direct his troops.
Jake wears a skintight navy blue shirt and black pants. He has a pistol holstered on his hip constantly.
Jake was born on Earth and basically grew up on the streets. He received very little formal education up to his teen years, because he was involved in a gang, and other illegal organizations. When he turned 18, he took some basic classes and later went to community college for two years. At the age of 23, Jake joined the military to avid going back on the streets and worked his way through the ranks, until he was eventually promoted to Lieutenant Commander at 28. He mostly was able to rise through the ranks so quickly because of his stellar ability of front-line combat and occasionally proving his prowess at diplomacy and befriending even the harshest enemy. During his first assignment, he was forced to lead a battalion of soldiers through a crime lord's lair on Azure. Due to his poor leadership skills, he was the only one to make it out alive after his team triggered a laid out trap. Jake was all but expelled from the military, but nothing was official, it all happened so fast. So after an "extended shore leave" at Burning Seed, Jake was surprised when he was contacted by the Ceftanova Council and asked to serve as Lieutenant Commander aboard the Spawncifter, he was sure it was a mistake. Nontheless, the council was adamant about it, so Jake took the seemingly easy position aboard the ship, seeing an opportunity to slack off and get paid for it.
